What are your likes and dislikes concerning the Lincoln Corsair?

What issues? I don't seem to have any with my '21 Reserve. ~4,000 miles and adding more than 1,200 more this coming weekend.
Love this Lincoln! It is MUCH better than the Acura RDX that it replaced.

Are you buying the PHEV? AKA Grand Touring...
Just anecdotal evidence but it appears the 21 owners on the forums/groups have faired better than the 20 owners. First year model. Wrinkles needed to be worked out.

Hi Cekkk. Vehicles are far more complicated nowadays, with tons of features. Some we may want, some we may not

In my opinion, the best way to be sure we are happy with what we buy is to factory order it. Do our due diligence (as you said), go through the standard and optional features, then factory order it exactly how we want it (within the Order Guide constraints), as opposed to settling for what is on the Dealer lot or what they can "find". Otherwise, we are at the mercy of whatever is on hand/available at the moment, or whatever the Salespeople have been told to push that week.

Of course, I also understand that some people want it now, or do not have the luxury of being able to wait 8-10 weeks. In that case, we have to take what we can get.

Hopefully you will eventually be able to overlook the perceived shortcomings of your new Corsair.

Hope you have many safe and happy miles of driving and good luck.
I started looking, test drove and fell in love! May 22, 2021 I purchased my 2021 Corsair Reserve 2.3t with the Equipment Group 201A, CoPilot 360+, Technology Pkg and the Sport Pkg. I looked at so many Corsairs with variable options that I was very careful and aware of what I wanted in this vehicle and especially how those options are listed on the window sticker. There's alot of variations in options that are loaded in the Corsair. I live in the midwest and the availability of Corsairs (with my wants/color) and the issue of inventory due to the 'chips' are few and far between. I worked with two dealerships and ended up driving 5hrs to buy my Corsair. I'm had it 1 month, 1400 miles and really enjoy it. I love the comfort, looks, options. It feels right for me. It's a good fit. I have never driven a Ford/Lincoln vehicle so watching the vehicle carefully and reading the forum on possible issues on the 2021 Reserve 2.3t. I hope it's as dependable as my two previous 2016 Subaru Outback and 2007 Toyota Camry XLE. I'd love to hear from other 2021 Corsair Reserve 2.3t owners.

I certainly would like to see that functioning more consistently on mine as well. I live in a mostly cold climate, though (although coming into spring now, it's going to be warmer for at least a few months), and I suspect that affects the battery's rate of charge.

You must have the ginormous sunroof (or you're driving with a window open?). My Corsair Standard (no sunroof) is remarkably quiet and comfortable.
I have the 2021 Corsair Reserve 2.3t with the gigantic sunroof which I absolutely love! I vent with windows up and it's fine. A little noisy totally open with windows up. Review my post of 'Windows Shutter'.

I just bought my 2021 Lincoln Corsair Reserve, the wind noise is HORRIFIC! I cannot even talk on the phone, no one can understand me, they think I have my windows rolled down. Service says this is normal and there is NOTHING they can do? Next, the GPS system doesnt even have my exit on they naviagation? My exit has been there for over 8 years? Lincoln has installed old GPS systems on their cars and expect customers to download all the updates, ridiculous! Road noise from the tires is very bad..... I am sorry I have not found anything I have liked yet I am very unhappy with my purchase. I have been a Chrysler customer all my life, this is very discouraging

Did you road test the vehicle under many different scenarios? For extended time periods?

I have been a Chrysler customer all my life, this is very discouraging
Me too. Chrysler simply doesn't have any vehicles any more that are all that interesting to me (well, there's the Challenger, but that's simply not realistically practical for me), and I was more than a little disillusioned at the apparent cheap quality that went into my previous (2004) Chrysler vehicle. I'm *still* very fond of the 1991 Plymouth *that* car replaced, but alas, Plymouth is long gone.

I test drove the Corsair (Standard), a Jeep Cherokee (Overland), a Cadillac Xt4 (Base), and a GMC Terrain (SLE), all on the same day, following a large snow-storm. The Corsair was clearly superior in terms of comfort and quiet. The Jeep performed poorest cornering in deep snow. I was shocked: It's a *jeep*. The Cadillac was best for that, but the Corsair also handled it excellently (very close second), so won out based on comfort and quiet, and trunk space.

Nothing about my Corsair has been disappointing, but I did research very carefully to know *exactly* what I wanted to option into the car. Thus the standard (no giant noisy sunroof, smaller wheels, for larger sidewall on the tires). Knowing what you want makes all the difference.

I didn't have the luxury/time to pick and choose option packages. I have the Reserve with the pano roof. If the car I found didn't have it, it would not have been a consideration, as my wife loves an open moonriof...even in our current 100 + degree days! I don't really care. I have no issues with wind noise, however, so that is good. I would have liked the HUD and the better seats and headlights, but the 201A is what I got. Very happy with the Corsair, having travelled over 5,000 miles in two months.

Yeah ...

Syl in Montreal: cornering in deep snow was an important consideration ...

JB in *Arizona*: "my wife loves an open moonroof" ...

Do you suppose I might be jealous??? ;-)

Is the road noise on the highway?

I'd like to know what people love about their Lincoln Corsair - and what they don't love about it. Let's hear it!
Well, I come from owning many Ford vehicles over the years and have been happy with all of them. (Last 2 were Edge LTD. ) . We then purchased a new MKC and a Fusion Hybrid. The Hybrid has been a treat and no issues at all.
The MCK, is a beautiful SUV. Style, ride and finish are very good and dealer service has been very nice. I have had engine and transmission issues for 2 yrs. All covered under warranty but a pain to keep taking back for same issues. 2.0 Litre engine has rough idle , hesitation at 1800 rpm , which they had a difficult time fixing. They noticed the issue but never pin pointed what the cause was until just after warranty has ended. Seems a head gasket needs replacing. It has been over a month waiting for a back ordered of the parts….which give me concern if I buy a new Lincoln and it needs parts. The transmission has a jerking motion during soft acceleration at low speeds and shifts hard at other times. Dealer does a memory flush of computer to retrain the shifting and that works for a little while.
Now I have a New Corsair to enjoy as I wait for my MKC to be fixed. I am interested in the New Corsair as my next vehicle, but I do notice loud road noise, same jerking of vehicle at low speeds and hard shifting. Finish is nice, style and comfort is good too. Don’t like the PRND positioning buttons.
So, while I would love to trade up, still not sure. Might be looking to something other than Lincoln.

I just purchased a 2021 Corsair standard. 2.0 l turbo engine. I too have noticed a slight jerking at low acceleration. I was told that it just needs a lightfoot. sure hope I don't have any transmission problems

2020 Corsair Reserve

Loves:
Ride and handling
Peppy engine
Nimble
Cabin ergonomics
Overall size and cargo capacity
Seat comfort
Attractive exterior and interior design
Technology (auto hold, high beam, etc)
Rear leg/headroom with reclining seats
Lincoln Way app controls

Dislikes:
Wind noise at 50mph +
Front end creaks on slow turns
Rear gate rattle
Hood flex in crosswind
Body panel alignment
Screen display mode will not auto
change from Day to Night
Slow response time for gear selection,
screen input, etc.

Wish it had:
Option to permanently disable auto
start/stop
Reserve edition without moonroof
Solid pop-up wind deflector
Ventilated rear seats
Heated/Cooled console cupholders
Retractable cargo area cover
Engine cover
Hybrid option

I've already had the car in 6x for the listed dislikes. Either the dealership can't recreate the problem or they say it acts like every other Corsair. I've test driven other Corsairs which didn't have these problems.

I totally agree about the retractable cargo cover!!

Agree all around, except I haven't used the Lincoln Way app (I'm not sure it's available for the Standard, and even if it is, I doubt it has anything that I'll feel I need ...)

Others have reported similar. Probably the gigantic sunroof fitting needs adjustment. There appear to have been mixed results in getting this fixed by dealerships.
Front end creaks on slow turns
Rear gate rattle
Hood flex in crosswind
Body panel alignment
All of these are most certainly things that the dealership should be investigating and getting fixed. I don't have any of these issues with my Standard.
Screen display mode will not auto

Is this perhaps adjustable in the vehicle settings? (I don't recall, but it seems likely). Mine most certainly switches automatically.
Slow response time for gear selection,
screen input, etc.
Mine is slow for screen input after a cold start (slow computer boot up, for sure), but once it's fully "up" the response time is fine. Gear selection has never seemed slow to me, but I'm also not doing any stunt driving in the Corsair, where I might need to switch the transmission in a beat ...
Wish it had:
Option to permanently disable auto
start/stop
Others have expressed the same. I wonder if having it always default to "on" permits them a certain EPA classification, or something like that.
Reserve edition without moonroof
Definitely would be nice
Solid pop-up wind deflector
moot, without the moonroof, though ...
Ventilated rear seats
Heated/Cooled console cupholders
Retractable cargo area cover
All would be nice
Engine cover
was originally available; mine has, as do most but the latest 2020 instances.
Hybrid option
Should be on the way

Right. You might need to lean a bit on the dealership.

Concerning auto stop/start. I drove new Subaru and a RXD. Stsrt/Syop could not be disabled. Must turn off each time.

Mine didn't come with a cargo cover but thinking now maybe I don't need one. Can order if needed. Cold/hot cupholders would have been awesome! Ventilated back seats would have been nice but really don't need them. Just the two of us. If we have multiples we drive his truck.

I would keep an eye on it. Both my MKC and the new Corsair, are doing it. For me , it happens because of a light foot. Can’t really do a hard acceleration in a parking lot. First vehicle to ever do this.
