Corsair lead time

My GT is scheduled to be built tomorrow, Aug 15. Checked the the status and shows still in production. Now there is a window sticker. Has all the features except it is showing lift gate delete -55. Does this mean no hands free lift gate?

Yes that feature was taken off in order to expedite your build.

Like I posted earlier, "my dealer did tell me a few vehicles are being delivered without features that customers ordered, all due to chip shortages. He's had several Navigators delivered without the "hands-free lift gate" as well as heated steering wheels or seats. Said Lincoln credited the customer rather than add it later. He said a few customers took them with the deletions but most canceled acceptance. The dealer also said once the customer declined accepting them they were sold that same day." His final comment was, "I hope when yours comes in it has everything you ordered".
Since I ordered in Feb and the build date is Sept 19th (supposedly), which is after the date to order a 2023 model, I would have some serious soul-searching if items are deleted.

Just wondering...If the 23's will have those "deleted features". Will the chips needed magically appear for the 2023 models? Those features could just not be included as a standard or optional feature.

Something else to think about. Sorry. Nothing is normal these days.

Agree, I've wondered the same thing. That's another unknown factor to this whole supply issue. The 2023's may just omit some features as either standard or optional if supply is still an issue. That'd be one way to not potentially alienate customers, just make it unavailable.

How often is the order tracking site updated? My GT was scheduled for projection August 15, but the web site still shows (1) order confirmed. Is there a delay in production and that is the reason why the tracking has not moved from (1) order confirmed.

Well, there's a chance it was pushed. Since the 15th was a Monday and the beginning of the week, its Likely you had a build WEEK asigned and not a build day. If you have a window sticker available , maybe share it here and there should be a build DAY on there, if you don't have a window sticker available yet, its probable that you have been shifted to another build week later down the road. Hope that helps.

I do have a window sticker and would the build date be on it? If so, where is the date located?

The very top of the sticker there should be a box that says BLEND with a series of numbers, the last 6 has the Date it is to be built.

Example -
BLEND 220201112

20 is the year 11 month 12 day

Hi Jasper. Build dates are not on the window sticker, in any way or form.
And a Blend date has no direct correlation to the Build date, other than the Blend date will be a date before the Build date.

Good luck.

Hi Tim. This type of question has been answered many times before...So just to avoid confusion for others wondering about the same or similar questions: That is not the Build date. Build dates are not on the window sticker.

Among other reasons, Build dates are not on window stickers because far too too many things can happen between the time the sticker becomes available and the true/actual Build date.

Good luck.

The actual 'day' it to be built as bbf2530 said is not on the sticker. Build day is a generic term used on any of the fourms anyway as it takes more than a day to be built typically. The blend date is typically a few to 10 days before the assembly according to many peoples raw data from Ford/Lincolns backdoor information. So while bbf2530 is correct that its it not your build date, it does correlate in that once you get a sticker, with a blend date, your vehicle has a hard date to be build and the production process is underway.

I understand the semantics involved here and can see where it can get confusing. There is no official build date, as you may know. There is a production date. That can only be found thru Lincoln's Vehicle Visibility report and the process of BUILT it a series of smaller processes. The simplest way to find out when that process starts, is via the blend date. Here are the series of steps for inquiring minds and for all the same and similar question posters.

Hi gang. Just to add some more information, for those who may care: A couple of years ago, before our current pandemic induced commodity and parts shortage times, the 'Build date" was the actual date the vehicle was finished and rolled off the assembly line to be parked in a holding lot to await relatively quick shipping.

However, for the time being, with pandemic induced parts/commodity shortages, "Build date" is a fuzzier term, as Tim stated. This is due to the fact that vehicles are often rolling off the assembly line, but then sitting in a holding lot awaiting shipments of computer chips or some other scarce part (but usually chips) to be installed. So now we have fuzzier "Production dates", "Build dates" etc.
So for many vehicles, it seems it is very difficult to obtain the actual "Build date", as understood before the pandemic.
Once the vehicle has been delivered to the Dealership, they can pull up the "Build date" (the day it rolled off the line, not necessarily when it had all its parts installed), for what it is worth.

But for the sake of accuracy, for those who want to know what the actual/exact Build date is (the day it rolled off the assembly line)? It is not listed on the window sticker.

I hopefully explained that in a somewhat understandable manner.

Good luck everyone, and hope you get your vehicles as soon as possible. 🍻

EDIT - Hi Tim. Our replies crossed in the mail...lol
I explained what was meant by "Build date"(in the old days, ~2 years ago...lol) in this reply.
For clarity sake, it used to be the day the vehicle rolled off the assembly line, ready to be shipped. That is all different now, at least until things return to some semblance of normal.

Hi everyone, has anyone with a July 2022 Order Date received confirmed production dates? I've only received my Order Acknowledgement so far?

Checked the web site this morning and looks like my GT is in production.
Just curious, is the plant a M-F 08:00 -17:00 operation or is it a 24 hour and weekends running!

Hi Jasper. First...even in good times, for a high demand vehicle model, most automotive assembly lines would run two shifts maximum.
Currently, considering the parts and commodity shortages, it is doubtful any automotive assembly line is running at full capacity.

While I do not know the precise Corsair assembly line schedule, it is most certainly far shorter than any pre-pandemic one.

Who knows, perhaps we have a member who works on the Louisville KY assembly line, and can give us more answers?

Good luck.

Louisville Assembly used to be a 3 shift 24/7 operation. Last year, prior to the launch of the 2022 Lincoln Navigator, a shift was dropped at Louisville Assembly and full time workers were transferred to Kentucky Truck (also in Louisville). The current model of the Ford Escape, which is the primary vehicle built at LAP, isn't a hot seller. In addition, the chip shortages continue to plague the automotive sector across the board. While the shortages seem to have somewhat improved, some CEOs keep saying the shortages are almost over. The actuality is the shortages will continue well into 2023. During 2023, there will be several new fabs coming on board to make chips. These ramp ups are slow but by the end of 2023 things should be normalized.

There is a significant freshening happening for the 2023 Ford Escape and Lincoln Corsair. This will include a larger touch screen and the move to SYNC 4. In addition to the interior changes, the front and rear fascias will be changed with reports the grill on the Corsair will be larger. Also, there are unconfirmed reports the 2.3L engine will be dropped from the line up.

The order banks for the 2023 model will open up in mid-September and we will see the standard features, options and packages. Anything else now is just speculation.
