2.3 doesn’t do it as much.Also it is a 2.0 liter
Any idea why it does it at all?? Have not experienced this with any other make / model car that I have test driven in the past 3 weeks....2.3 doesn’t do it as much.
There’s a thread in here. It’s mainly due to the turbo engine and the 8 gear transmission.Any idea why it does it at all?? Have not experienced this with any other make / model car that I have test driven in the past 3 weeks....
It happens to me but I noticed if you apply less pressure on the gas pedal it doesn’t do it.I have a 2.0T '21 and have no idea what you are talking about. I have not experienced any "lurch and jerk" 4,000+ miles.
Is it possible that the trans wants to shift to the next gear but the speed just isn't high enough, like driving a manual transmission at that speed? Try pulling the right side shift paddle and see what gear you are in, and if it shifts up. The gear will be displayed at the bottom of the instrument panel.
Put me in as another example of someone who doesn't experience this issue (2020 Corsair Standard, 2.0T). I agree with the advice, though that a light touch on the accelerator may be what makes the difference. I did find, not surprisingly, that I needed to adjust my footwork to drive this car, compared to my previous, admittedly aging (2004) vehicle. Why does the Lincoln Corsair kind of lurch and jerk at low speeds such as under 10 or 15 mph???
Same here. I used to be more of a lead foot. Not anymore. A light pressure is all it takes.Put me in as another example of someone who doesn't experience this issue (2020 Corsair Standard, 2.0T). I like everything and I’m 46 who has the reserve 2021 with everything but the 21 seat with massage.I'd like to know what people love about their Lincoln Corsair - and what they don't love about it. Let's hear it!
Hi. What year was your Corsair? I am looking at a 2021 Corsair. That electrical issue thing is a bit scary...I really think Lincoln nailed the Corsair - I just hope they've figured out how to make them reliably now. I just even swapped for a '21 Nautilus Reserve I with the 2.7TT after continual electrical issues.
Mine's a 2020, no issues whatsoever.Hi. What year was your Corsair? I am looking at a 2021 Corsair. That electrical issue thing is a bit scary...

thank you so much for your reply. it was so helpful! and by the way I bought the car tonight!Mine's a 2020, no issues whatsoever.
Recall that the internet tends to attract three types: The show offs, the complainers, and the braggarts. Truth is, your ownership experience will probably be somewhere in the middle, there's no way to predict what your particular unit may or may not experience. If you like the car, go back a few times to drive different examples and confirm your impressions, negotiate your best deal, and stay off the internet, it's not representative of the vast majority of owner's experience and its not for the faint of heart.
Congrats! I hope you enjoy your as much as I enjoy mine!thank you so much for your reply. it was so helpful! and by the way I bought the car tonight!
Good call! Details, we want details! Color, options, etc.thank you so much for your reply. it was so helpful! and by the way I bought the car tonight!
I don't think you meant any ill will, but I found your comment to be offensive. It's a backhand to anyone who is having problems, of which there seem to be a not insignificant number of. I'm glad you haven't had the problems some of us have had, and hope you never do.Mine's a 2020, no issues whatsoever.

What issues? I don't seem to have any with my '21 Reserve. ~4,000 miles and adding more than 1,200 more this coming weekend.I hope the PHEV drivetrain will eliminate all these issues!
No, it is not a backhand anything, but my own observation. People who gather information or worse, purely subjective opinion...on forums should realize they are getting a very self selecting, narrow band of owners (and their experiences), and the concentration of them makes it seem as if their complaints (or compliments) are far more representative of the "Typical" experience. So, when you say "seem to be a not insignificant number", that might be true in this thread, but not of the 20,000 owners who purchased in 2020. That pesky engine cover was covered in great, excruciating detail by a number of disgruntled owners (myself included), yet I'd bet that most owners don't notice and/or do not care. We tell'll know if Lincoln reverses this deletion moving forward, but for now, it might be best to realzie that strangers opinions do not substitute for one's own hands on experience. It's a backhand to anyone who is having problems, of which there seem tobe a not insignificant number of.
