The New Lincoln Continental Picture Thread

It looks fabulous! The silver does an excellent job of neutralizing the chrome trim. I saw a similar one on the road last week; that would have been my preference. Last four M-Bs were all in silver. Wife thought she would prefer black and that's what we got but now she's not so sure.

Was CarMax a positive experience?
Yes... this is my 3rd Lincoln purchase thru CarMax and they make it such a painless experience. I have been searching for about a year for this car getting my savings where I needed them and when it popped up and jumped. I had it transferred, did all the paperwork online and via phone, financing was all in place. When the Conti arrived I went and looked at it, drove it and tested everything... then signed on the bottom line. Was in and out in 1 hour and in a 2017 Continental Reserve with 26K miles on the odometer. I highly recommend CarMax simply because they don't sell anything which has been wrecked or any type of damage. There are a few rock chips on the front I plan to get fixed but other than that, this car is clean! I am very particular... this is a gem!

The Reserve with Revel Ultima (19 speaker) audio has those panels. I test drove one in 2017. Mine has the Revel audio with 13 speakers and the speaker covers are black.
I thought the THX II system in my 2013 MKZ sounded amazing. Revel Ultima is well... Ultima!

I noticed the 48 page 2017 Continental Brochure in the back. Did CarMax give that to you or did you prepurchase it. I just ordered mine a few days ago from eBay. What about the umbrella as well?

No... CarMax did not give me this Brochure. I have collected Lincoln brochures every year since I was a kid. I owned the umbrella. I have three now. LOL

Awesome, I have a question for anyone on this thread regarding brochures. A few years ago I received a promotional dummy android tablet screen for the continental reveal. I couldn't find another online. Do any members remember this? It played a small video showing off the Continental and it's history.

I received it as well... I have it charging... that’s funny you asked about it.

I also received two magazine booklets about the Continental with design and materials they used.

Update on vehicle. All black grill installed. Not possible to install at home. Had to take to a body shop. Average shop had about 3-4 hours install. Bumper has to come off, disconnect active shutters, etc. They said it was a pain in the ass to do.

Looks great; a real improvement. The next time the front bumper on mine has to come off, all goes in.

yo! where did u get the grill, and how much? you crushed it. Since checking yours last, I've add black wheels, and then, this car was begging for a trunk lip spoiler. I got an inexpensive, carbon fiber look spoiler. it just changes the whole attitude. NOW, it screams sports sedan!

Please send pics of the spoiler. They had a few spoilers on aliexpress a while back but stock went to 0 somehow. The only option was the carbon fiber version which I would have wrapped body color. I got the grill through eBay for $199 shipped but add $250 for labor on the install (if you live in a city with decent pricing). There's no way to install this in the garage, it's the biggest pain in the ass possible.

Its actually a really simple foam type universal spoiler. I bought it from Amazon. I think $30. Don't let the price rob you of the vision. They have a couple, that incorporate a 3rd stop light. I wasn't feeling that. The car is dirty. Its been parked for a couple of months. I had back surgery. Give me a few minutes, and I'll lean in the messy garage and snap a quick pick. I'm still trying to get the blackout tail lights done. I have the tint, just too chicken to do it myself.

I hope these show fairly well. It looks outstanding. Like it was meant to be there. Very similar to the foam/rubber spoiler that came on my BMW when I was stationed in Germany. One might wanna try something different. This one gives me the flexibility to do something else, if I find the right one. It’s not screwed in. One thing to be warned about. Anything much heavier, may effect the trunk mechanism. My auto trunk lid is offline, right now, so even this weight means that I pop the lid and it closes immediately. I’m sure it’ll be fine when the mechanism is fixed. It’s really no weight at all.
I also included a pic of my tail light blackout tint. Still in the box. Again, I found it on Amazon. Already precut and ready to go on.

Good work so far. I definitely get the vision. I had a spoiler on my MKZ and it definitely affected the trunk opening by itself. I'll look into this. Nice rims btw

Thanks. Ironically, I was forced to replace my rims. i cracked a factory rim taking my daughter back to college. First trip with the car. I picked these, spur of the moment. Discount Tire, under $800 for all 4. Mounted and balanced. I was sweating bullets and convinced myself that I’d find some more and trade them later, but I’ll be damned. They look pretty sharp. I had to go back to the dealership a couple weeks ago. The staff declared it the best looking Continental they ever seen. ive always been a fan of, less is more. This is a beautiful car. I’m a huge fan of the euro sports sedan look. Fortunately, I’ve been lucky enough to be unique, without breaking the bank. I’m definitely inspired by yours! Good looking out. I checked eBay for a grill. No luck. I’m in no rush. I’m thinking about loading some pics and doing some design ideas for some sort of wrap. I’d love to find a wide body kit for it. I’m looking all the way back to some of my euro connects for ideas. There just aren’t any. I wish I were young again. I’d break down and build some. Enjoy! Post some more pics. I’d love to keep up with your build. I’ll drop some when I get the tail lights tinted.
