The less chrome, the better and you've made a good start.

More, please, on how you dechromed the back. It the previously-chrome trim painted in the body paint of your car (which it seems to be) or just a generic black?

I thought I saw a Conti at a dealer with a black front grill. I don't remember if the surround or the center star were black or chrome but it causes me to wonder if a black grill is available through FoMoCo parts? It is a bit of a nasty job to replace the grill because it is in the bumper cover and camera wiring, etc., but buying a fresh new black grill might be better than a re-spray.

For de-chroming, I went for a gloss black wrap. Painting would have required more labor and this was an easier solution. It works well with the paint scheme. As far as the grill you mentioned, it's part of the 2020 monochrome package. I found some new all black grills on ebay which I will get because it's a lot easier than painting. It sucks that the bumper has to be dropped, so it's something that will take time to get done.

Nice! I presume the wrap is reversible, too, which may have some advantages.

I would be most concerned about disrupting the camera(s?) when it comes to replacing the grill. Last year, I had the front end of a Conti rental sideswiped by a hit-and-run bandit and the bill was about $1,700 covered by my insurance.

Yes it is reversible in the sense it can be peeled off. In regards to the grill, I don't have a front camera, so the install is much easier. I will tackle that and dechrome the front strip along the bottom of the front bumper.

Here is my '17 Reserve with Luxury Pkg, 30 Way seats, AWD, Tech & Climate Pkg. Hard to find w/no Sunroof. One of this group had the name put on the rear, so I found an artist to do mine too. Picture was at Skyway Bridge in Fla. #2.jpeg

Well done! And nice to see a Continental without the moon roof. Is that a livery delete option? I don't get sun/moon roofs. I was able to order my '86 M-B 300E with the sunroof deleted and I never regretted it and the the next owner didn't, either. These things add weight, mechanical complexity, drafts, noise, and leaks and reduce headroom. What are the positives?

This isn't a livery model. For several years the MKS was available with all options but no panaramic sunroof, so I started looking for none on
this model. Test drove both and have to admit with the sunroof it was just a quiet as without. (Positive) - Down south that black glass roof might be
too hot, was my thinking. Hadn't opened the last three cars with sunroofs. Ha

Yes, saw it on this site last year on a black Continental and found an artiste to put it on mine.
Has the Lincoln logo on the left side too, like his did also.

It looks fabulous! The silver does an excellent job of neutralizing the chrome trim. I saw a similar one on the road last week; that would have been my preference. Last four M-Bs were all in silver. Wife thought she would prefer black and that's what we got but now she's not so sure.

Was CarMax a positive experience?

Yes, this is my third Lincoln purchase from CarMax. I can’t stand the sales game and CarMax the price is what you pay. I found this car and had it transferred. Did most of the paperwork online. Went and looked at it when it delivered. Liked what I saw and test drive it. Inspected everything and signed papers. Took all of an hour once the car was transferred. Painless.
