Update 11 Center Touch Screen

I don’t know if this is related to the recent updates or not, but my Phone as key has been less reliable lately. It requires the app to be open quite frequently now. Otherwise, I get the no key detected message.
Before these updates it was rare when I got the message whether I had the Lincoln App open or not.
I have an iPhone 16.

Possibly related to this is that the lock icon has been less reliable. I know other people have had issues with the lock icon working on the first try, but for me it has always worked reliably until now. I think it’s related to the PAAK issues I’m experiencing.

This morning the Command Button on the steering wheel or « Hey Google » were not working for me. It started to respond and then would go away. Apple Car Play was active.
I did a reboot. After the reboot, the same thing continued to happen.

I then disabled Apple Car Play and Hey Google started working again.
I restarted Apple Car Play after this and the Command Button and Hey Google continued to work.

Will keep on eye on this to see if it happens again.

It is the new 5x in 7 secs method to reboot
I'm reading this as you push the large center knob 5 times in 7 seconds to reboot. Is that correct? How did you figure this out?

One of the TSBs mentioned this as an alternate way to reboot. It seemed at first to be mentioned as a method for other vehicles, but it would appear we have adopted some of their code.

This was the TSB that announced the reset (reboot) change. It just took a while for Lincoln to roll out the code to field. After the OTA update the old method does not work.

Would be nice if they made the clock larger in the left front corner of the centre screen.

I'd still like to see a version of the clock that looks like the Lincoln clock of years past. It would add a bit of classic nostalgia to the dash while maintaining the overall modern, digital look of the vehicle.

Updates complete.
Noticed a difference in the background color on the touch screen, as well as the difference of the climate controls, also the weather widget shows slightly different on the dash screen. That is all I have noticed.
Truthfully. Not anything that was required.
Nothing that will change the user experience either positive or negative.
Am I missing something?
Am I being negative here? Just that I did expect that there would be a meaningful change and possibly more options for radio, climate, and settings etc.

When you touch seat heat buttons there is clicks now. When incoming call received new layout on screen. Radio presets more refined with stars on presets on Sirius channels. They say the temp on either lower corner is larger .

Have not tried the seat heat buttons yet. I did notice the radio presets looked slightly different, yah ok. I have not noticed a difference in the temp on either side.
Like I said before, I do not want to seem overly critical , BUT. …………

I noticed my phone connection configuration options are different. I now just see 2 options: Android Auto or Bluetooth. There were 4 choices before. After playing with it (understand better its function), it is easy now to turn off Android Auto. There is another phone menu (to call) that I discovered but suspect it has always been there.

- display brightness offset will now go positive as well as negative
- digital clock display added
- seems widget panel borders more distinct

Maybe it is me. As generally when I see an update or know one is coming I am on top of it and loving it. This time around I am looking for the updates and virtually everything is small and incremental. Like I said , Maybe it is me. After two years on the market and now just getting into year three, I expected much more from Lincoln. Changes that are a noticeable difference and a real improvement.

This update has fixed the biggest day-to-day bug that I deal with.

I usually have SXM playing and Waze running thru CarPlay. Previously, after every Waze voice notification, the steering wheel buttons stopped working to change SXM stations. The fix was to mute and unmute audio via the large center button. A real PIA. That problem has gone away with the new update, and flipping thru SXM stations is now much more enjoyable. That was my last major bug.

Now if only they'd let us toggle thru Drive Modes using the console buttons, I'd be 100% happy.

Edit: got the new update and AudioWagon now persists across restarts, stays as the USB handler.

How do you turn off android auto? Ours was never on, we used google and it worked fine. Now it constantly complains if we put the phone on airplane mode and often takes out the navigation instructions. Our car used to run fine with google and we want it back like it was.

What I still want to see is a working app for USB music. Audio Wagon works nicely, but the lack of the car-usb-handler, freely available from Google, being implemented properly means you have to give it permission every single time the car gets started.
SiriusXM and Spotify likely pay to be an included app.
