2009 Town Car Signature Limited
Been looking for a good forum to show off this beauty but Crownvic.net is a ghost town these days so I looked around and found this place. Glad to be here, now on to a few pics....my 2009 Town Car Signature Limited I bought a few months ago with a mere 43k on the clock. It's factory fresh inside and out, what a car!!! I was looking for a Crown Vic but found this and figured, why not try one? Whatch'all think of her?

My 2003 Signature. I bought it, perversely, to save money. My oldest son is 17 and needs a car so I am giving him my 2005 Subaru Legacy. I told him I bought him a new car for when he gets his license. Which is true because we bought it for carrying our new family since the coupe and Miata we had at the time weren't much good for baby seats. After 17 years of driving the same boring car, I am ready for a change too.

I looked at the car market and saw almost everything is stupid expensive... with the exception of this luxury land yacht. While the gas mileage isn't great, the entry price makes up for that and I figure even at today's gas prices I can drive over 60k miles before fuel costs catch up with the initial purchase cost difference. In the mean time I am cruising in comfort unmatched by all but the most expensive cars. Despite being an aging luxury car, it is only has 88k miles, is built on a proven platform with huge parts support and has a reputation of hitting 400k+ miles. I am mechanically handy and parts are relatively cheap so I expect I can maintain it without the luxury car overhead.

I still have a Miata for my fun car, but this scratches a different itch. It is like driving an easy chair down the road and I find it calms me down a lot. As my handle suggests, being able to haul 4 passengers comfortably as well is a big bonus. The kids love it and want me to take them places in the Lincoln rather than Mom take them in the Minivan.

The two-tone cars are dead sexy, there are a couple around town I always eye when I see them driving around. Run synthetic oil, put off the timing chain jazz as long as possible, and change the trans fluid often. Keey an ear out for rear bearing noise, the 03's were kinda known for it.

New to me, my Grandma’s 2004 Signature. 129,000 miles. Hadn’t been driven since Christmas 2018. My Grandma passed away in February this year and I just went to pick it up at the farm house a couple of Saturday’s ago. Put a new battery in and she fired up. Alternator squealed pretty bad. Replaced it and the belt tensioners and idler pulley.
Spent some time cleaning her up. Found a rust spot below the passenger side rear door. Still need to replace all of the fluids. Probably will replace the water pump and hoses as well.
My first Lincoln.

Water pump can be a bear to get out if the coolant hasn't been changed regularly. Mine took a sledgehammer lol...

And you might consider using low temp anti-seize on the threads of any bolts and nuts used to secure aluminum parts

Here's our '04 Ultimate with its new shoes, GT500 wheels with 275/40-19 Pirellis. The tires are 0.1" taller than stock for reference (in other words, not enough to notice), I think they give the car a nice stance. Sits a bit high in the rear since the PO converted to coil springs :(. IMG_6035.JPG IMG_6037.JPG

I bought my beautiful mint 2006 Lincoln Town Car Signature Limited from THE nicest older gentleman in Texas. I felt a little bad buying it
(taking it away from him) because he is 85, couldn't drive anymore, and it was to be his last car. Told him how much I respected his ownership
and I would baby it myself as he would have. I know like many of y'all, they will have to pry, my cold, dead, hands off of my steering wheel before
I ever stop driving. Anyway I am proud to own Earl's old Lincoln from Texas, now in Ohio! Thanks Earl!!! You're The Best!! IMG_8935 fix.jpg

Absolutely good for the mental state of mind. I can't help but feel relaxed driving mine around. Cavernous, quiet, comfortable. Always looking for an excuse to go somewhere and often take the long way there.

Give it a couple of years in the Ohio salt weather. It will become Krispy without an undercoating and cavity wax LOL
Naw, I have a Jeep I'll drive through the winter - This car will sit in the garage until late April :)
Don't know what Cavity Wax is and I think undercoating traps more salt and moisture and does more harm than good.
Most of the underpinnings are galvanized parts now anyway. No matter either way - I wont drive it through the winter.

Nice find! That's a beauty.
Thanks, she's crazy clean underneath. Picked up some CV steelies as a winter project so I could put together some hot-rod wheels. Figure I'll clean them up real good, paint them cherry red, add some chrome beauty rings and center caps and voila, some hot-rod style on my old girl.

Post a picture when you do that.
