MY2023 Aviator Order Timeline Tracking thread

What all did you order? Any "accessories" that need to be installed after?
Other than the seemingly hard to find true black leather, it's just the Reserve I package with 2nd row captains chairs and rear console. However, we did check the boxes for both the $75 "cargo area cover" which is supposed to come from the factory, and the $130 "cargo area protector" which is dealer installed. If it was either of those holding it up, I wish they'd just tell me so I could say" OK don't worry about those, I can find those later.

It definitely could be, wouldn't surprise me. On Jeep forum, stuff like Running Boards cause delays after "built"...

I didn't receive an email when it went into production, but I received one the day after it updated to built. It included the expected delivery date range

ordered confirmed email- 2/6
scheduled for production week of 4/24 email - 2/16
changed schedule of production week of 3/27 email - 2/22
on 3/22 I randomly checked the tracker and found it has been pulled into production on 3/20. Window sticker was available with blend date on 3/27.
Remained in production until 4/3 ->changed to built
Received email on 4/5 that car is built and scheduled to be delivered to dealer between 4/30-5/6

Just updating that we've had the vehicle for 2 weeks now. It arrived to the dealer on 4/28. There was a scratch on one of the doors and it had to go to paint. I also added ceramic tint (live in AZ) so that took an extra day. Was able to pick it up a week later on 5/5.

I noticed all the Aviators disappeared from my dealer's website inventory. He said this:

"There is currently a delivery hold on all aviators right now. They have stopped all shipments until it is resolved. It is nothing safety related just a software issue but the factory won’t raise the hold until the vehicle is 100% perfect. We should know more in a week or two and Lincoln will reach out to you once they have an update on the ETA."

I'm wondering if it has to do with last week's recall concerning the backup camera.

Thanks for the info. My dealer and others here still show Aviators on their sites. As for the possible delay, the ETA of my 2023 was to be June 12th. Almost 7.5 months since it was ordered.

My dealer still shows inventory although 2 aviators have been "in transit" for 2 months on their page. Dealer was supposed to take delivery by today, but no news via dealer or the tracker.

Mine was ordered 8/29/22. Production date was supposed to be 5/5. It shows in production since 4/27 but there has been no other movement.
I’m at 9 months. I’ve pretty much accepted it’s not coming lol.
Concierge and dealer have no updates.

These long waits pretty much have to be dealer specific. I ordered on 2/6 and production began on 4/6 (still waiting).

I'm wondering if there may have been an unofficial 'Hold' on production for a while. I still haven't seen anything official on it. Mine has been In Production since April 3rd and the Tracker shows it hasn't been updated since then. My dealer has until July 31st to buy my current 2020 Aviator from Lincoln in order to retain it. My lease actually is up on Oct. 31st. The only positive out of all this is that for every month that goes by my outstanding lease payments reduce so the dealer doesn't have to pay out as much when negotiation the new lease.

It seems that those showing April productions are sitting around frozen in that state.

we are going to look at a CPO Porsche Macan Friday. The Aviator is stuck in build and dealership can't get any updates on it. Starting to feel like my 2022 F350 order that never amounted to us getting a truck

This apparently also involves the Explorer, A member mentioned that on the Explorer forum, adding it is for the camera issue according to his dealer.

My dealer tells me it’s showing to be shipped between 6/1-6/5 but the tracker hasn’t updated on my side since 5/5. Who knows what’s going on. I’ve always bought ford products. This my first Lincoln and I’m not impressed so far.

Everything, shipping and sales are on hold at the moment due to an unresolved issue which is believed to be the rearview camera. This applies to the Explorer as well.

Unless your vehicle doesn't fall under the recall, your dealer won't be able to complete the sale assuming it is actually shipped. I spoke with my dealership's manager and he mentioned that they are not allowed to sell what they have in stock nor are they allowed to take trade-ins if they are subject to the recall. Apparently, Ford has some 9,000 vehicles on parking lots in the neighbourhood and is running out of room. A complete production halt is possible.

No 45 day email from Lincoln yet. Any recommendations for cars in a similar price range/3 row/air susp?

When checking the status of my order online today, it still shows as being In Production but I also just received an email from my Lincoln Client Service Manager saying that it is now "Produced". I wonder if that means it can now join the other 9,000+ vehicles sitting in parking lots awaiting the 23S02 Recall final fix?

Considering these 9000+ should be weighing heavily on their bottom line, you would think they would already have this straightened away. I think the current owners are getting notified June 12 via mail. Not sure if this can be done OTA.

Forgive my gloomy question. Once your order has been accepted, you have a VIN and your vehicle shows "in production", are you 100% certain to get your vehicle, at some point, someday? Are there instances when an order is cancelled?

Yes, it should arrive someday, once the recall has been addressed. Orders can get canceled but I believe that usually occurs because the model year is changing over. The customer is then given the option to order the new model.
