Tracking updated on 5-2, stating in production now with date of 5-1.
Blend date on window sticker has been 5/1/23 tight along though.
First email from Lincoln since changing my production date to 5-1-23. Now saying there are delays. No updated info/date within email and tracking page still says in production (which it has said since 4/23.) The email promises to update me every 45 days. Good thing I have not sold my current vehicle yet. Hopefully they will update tracking so I know if I am looking at June now or even later.

I got the same thing this morning. Not sure what to think, since as of last week my dealer told me their tracking still showed it on schedule for a May delivery. I partially think those emails go out whether the build is progressing or not.

Mine has been In Production since April 3rd. Delivery date was just changed from May 6th to June 12th. Getting email updates every 2 weeks from my Lincoln contact.

Peter

Mine has been in production since 02/25. I'm honestly starting to feel like it's not going to happen. I am over 4 months now, which I realize is nothing compared to some of the horror stories I have read on here. My current thoughts are to possibly give it till 8 months (September 10). If by then no car then I would probably cancel my order and wait on the 2024 to hit the dealerships. I wouldn't special order again. I wouldn't put myself through this again. I would rather find one at a distant dealership if need be and have it delivered.

I get it that there are chip shortages. What I don't get and can't understand is the lack of communication. Lack of communication from the dealer and Lincoln. Sure I have received 2 of those "every 45 day" updates, but that is not really an update. That doesn't say what they are waiting on specifically on my order or the expected arrival date for what's needed.

It seems the average time for a BL is around 7 months. The last update on the tracker for my Aviator Reserve was April 3rd, the day it went into production.

Peter

Thought I would add my ordering timeline and see if anyone has observations.

Feb 9: Ordered 2023 Aviator Reserve primarily because DW wants a black interior and doesn't like the brown or beige. Salesman says the last Aviator order he placed (in Nov 2022) took 2 months total. Manager said to expect 4 months. Of note, I have never received any type of communication from Lincoln despite the dealership verifying they sent the correct email and phone.

mid-March: Contacted dealership and they gave me VIN. Was able to see vehicle on Lincoln tracking website and window sticker, verifying everything was as ordered. Build date stated as March 28.

March 29: Status changed to in production. It has not changed status since.

mid-April: Vehicle began to show up on my dealership's website as "not in stock - in transit". Contacted dealership and they believed the vehicle to have been built (despite contradiction with the order tracking website) with delivery expected around May 1.

Around May 1: No delivery. Contacted dealership and they still believe vehicle is built but expect delivery around June 1. I'm not sure how accurate their information is or why it differs from the order tracking website.

I had to contact the Lincoln Concierge in order to ask for email updates and they are now supplied every 2 weeks. Have you checked the date that shows when the tracking info was last updated? Mine hasn't been updated since it went into production on April 3rd. The ETA changed from May 6th to June 12th so I'm guessing there is some kind of delay in production. If it does arrive on the 12th it will be almost 7.5 months.

Peter

I’m going on 10 months with little sign of progress. We will see if the dealer is correct or the Lincoln tracking is correct on the 19th.

When we go and track our aviator now, it is telling us the vin is not valid? This process is turning into a nightmare from what the dealership advised us that the whole process would take 6 to 8 weeks to receive our vehicle

I feel so bad you have been waiting so long, Peter, and I do hope yours arrives on the 12th! Like someone else on this thread, I have decided to keep my options open and if it goes too long beyond the timeline I was anticipating (May/June). I am contemplating the Grand Touring rather than the Reserve. Our state is considering prohibiting the sale of gaspowered vehicles at some point down the road, and I have a very short commute so I could probably get away with recharging fairly seldom. That said, I'd read reviews saying that the grand touring is less smooth of a ride because you can feel the engine switch from gas to electric. Thinking of test driving one to see. Anyone have any thoughts on this? On why you chose (or did not choose) the grand touring? Also, can you choose to have it use just one source (electric or gas) at a time, to avoid that switch. Sorry if my verbiage is amateurish, this whole custom car ordering is very new to me.

To clarify, dealers in my area have GT's on the lot, which is why I would consider that trim.

I have had a 2022 BL GT for 18 months. I find the shifting from Electric to Gas and vice versa to be quite seamless. Sometimes it a little rough, and you notice the transfer, but that is a minimal amount. I think some of the 1st ones back in 2020 might have been rough.

Thank you, I appreciate that but I'm actually in a situation where the longer it takes to arrive, the better it should be for me, up to a point. I lease my vehicles and I currently have 5 months left on the 2020 Aviator lease. That will drop to 4 months in June. So the more payments I make, the fewer payments the dealer will have to cover when it comes to the 2023 lease. This should put me in a position for a better deal. The only concern is that the dealer, in order to buy the current Aviator from Lincoln, must do it no later than July 31st or the vehicle has to go back to the manufacturer. The dealer plans to buy it and ship it to the States.

Oh I see! I was confused by some of your previous allusions to July 31st - now it makes more sense. Good luck then!

Also, you can force a switch when you want. If you KNOW you will be pulling out hard soon, switch to Excite, or Preserve EV, engine will start on command. Same thing, switch to Pure EV or whatever (all the way left) and engine will shut off. But remember once it starts, it will run for like 2 minutes until warmed up a bit. And I don't hammer on it until coolant temp changes from blue to gold or whatever that color is in the gauge.
If you never drove a PHEV before it will be weird, period. How weird, and how it affects you, is different for everyone. I also have a Volvo S90 T8 (PHEV) which is even weirder, the EV is the rear axle, and the ICE is the front. So it pulls out a lot weaker, but steadier. The Lincoln has the EV IN the transmission so you get benefit of low gears at first, and it pulls out much better, and handles hills at low speeds better, but you get EV/ICE merging through the same drivetrain, and it can be wonky occasionally. Your driving style will greatly affect it. Normal driving, you may not even be able to notice the switch if you have music up loud.

I called Lincoln Concierge today, thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately, they were not able to give me additional information. They told me it was "in production" since March 29 as the tracker states. I asked if it made sense to be "in production" for six weeks and they said no, and then they looked at some other screen which suggested to them that it was in fact "built" as my dealer thought but they could not say why it hasn't shipped. They also verified they had my correct email but couldn't say why I'm not getting communications from them. I guess we will see what happens around June 1.

What all did you order? Any "accessories" that need to be installed after?
