• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "1998 Town Car" isn't going to indicate to anybody that you need help. However, "Need help with my 1998 Town Car" will. Be as descriptive as you can. Please use common sense... I like the generations together, as many issues or help that folks bring up can carry across many years of the same model. I'm fairly new to this forum, but having been a moderator in a forum that had tons of subcategories, it was a mess moving posts to the appropriate subcategory and then the posters not being able to find it again.

Thank you for the input. I will continue to monitor this discussion...

It's doable, but I typically avoid any change unless it's something a significant amount of people are looking for. As far as I know or can remember, you're the first here asking for separation. While it's easy enough to do (with a little help from people who are willing to report discussions that should be moved), I don't want to cause discomfort for people who prefer things as they are.

One of the issues I foresee is the potential to have multiple discussions on the same topic in different sub-forums. For example, an issue that can be had across multiple generations having several discussions with good answers being in some and not others...

But I do know this is common practice in many forum communities. We can certainly do it here, but I'd like to get opinions from our members. If you'd like, start a discussion and let me know so I can monitor it - and we can go from there...
Thank you for the response. Of course, will abide by the community standards.

I wrote my first post om Monday (5/5/25) on the Open Letter to Lincoln - How I'd Improve the Aviator. The post generated somr replies, and i wrote a response to member D Rail yesterday, but it wasn't posted because it had to be approved by a monitor. Now my 5/6/25 message has been deleted. Did I do something that resulted in the message being disapproved?

Hi Robert. The message fell into moderation due to the links. It has been approved.

Tried to do a search, but came up empty. Maybe not using the search function properly.

Anyway, I am unable to post any photos beyond the one in my signature. Always get some sort of file size too big block when I got to add them through the “attach files” button. Just adding from iPhone, which I’d think would be fine on a forum. Is there a trick to doing it? Is this a glitch with me? OR is there a big file size limit on pictures and an easy work around?

Any insight is appreciated. Thank you!

Okay…good to know. Being retired, I pretty much exist on my iPad and iPhone these days. My laptop sits there holding my old desk down. :D

Anyone having trouble with the forum loading slowly today like I am having? Safari, all up to date, 10-15 seconds to load every page. No other websites having this issue.

Yes, the server is under attack. Not the first time it's happened. The server admins are working on it.

And, hey, voila, it is back to normal. They are good.

You're welcome. This kind of thing happens all the time. You just happen to here right in the middle of it. :p

It's not all that difficult to mitigate. Sometimes they become aware of the attack quickly and sometimes I need to tap them on the shoulders. :)

Just a quick reminder that while most of the forum communities out there have been acquired and are now run by one of two multi-million dollar corporations, I operate Lincoln Forums dot com alone. Your support is greatly appreciated...
I there a way to contact you? I started a discussion and made a mistake in the title.

On Sept. 16 (I think) I posted a classified ad for the sale of 2022 Lincoln Nautilus wheels and tires. It has been taken down or otherwise has disappeared. I have not been notified or told that there was a problem with the ad. Please let me know if there is a problem that needs to be fixed.

Did you post the ad in the Classified section or in the Nautilus section?
