• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "1998 Town Car" isn't going to indicate to anybody that you need help. However, "Need help with my 1998 Town Car" will. Be as descriptive as you can. Please use common sense... There are about 1500 topics in the Nautilus forum and it would be very difficult to properly segment them out by generation. If everyone used the model year in their subject title, it would be easy... Otherwise, each discussion would need to be read and moved individually.

I am wanting to change “My Lincoln” from 2023 Aviator to 2023 Aviator BLGT PHEV. Can someone show me how to do this?
We don't have an option to to select every type of model within model designations.

Yeah, like I said, the split could have been made a year ago, but it's too late now.

I tried to post some pics and it says too large....what is this
If images are larger than 1600x1600 and 15mb, please reduce the resolution/file size before uploading.

Does this forum for the Aviator have pictures permanent post? I like it when people post their mods and eye candy they do to their vehicles.

Are you looking for a discussion where everyone posts pictures of their Aviator? If so, I can arrange that.

Wow…really!

Yeh I’ve had other vehicles and remember they had a permanent thread like…. “What have you done to your Aviator today?” People would proudly post pictures of the mods or treats they’ve added to their ride. I always liked going to that and surfing through the pictures and reading the comments.

Something like that would be awesome 👍🏻

Thanks

Would you like to do the honors or shall I create it myself? If you do, let me know and I'll "stick" the discussion at the top of the Nautilus forum.

Do you want model specific? Why not just have it what have you done with your Lincoln since often comments can apply to any model. It could be a mod, road trip, et .

I’m not sure how to do a permanent thread so I’ll trust your idea as to what works.

I own a 2023 Nautilus Reserve and now a 2023 Aviator BL so if you could do a thread in both that would be great. I’ll be glad to add a few pictures of each and we’ll see how it grows.

Maybe other models would like to do the same?

It was popular on the Genesis GV70 model forum when I had one and went there for information and playing.

Thanks

Most of the time people do model-specific as the discussions tend to be quite large/busy - when people want to see modifications specific to a certain model - they don't need to go through multiple pages of other model pictures/discussion to find what they're looking for.

Do a separate discussion for each model for the reasoning above. Just let me know when you post the topic and I will "stick" it to the top.

Why not do a FAQ page for each model where common items can be researched easier ( ie. Alphabetical order ) in one common location pinned up at the top of each section.

Air suspension, cooling, fuel system, Nomenclature of common parts, parts list numbers, TSB's, etc..
Members can contribute to this and let it build up for future owners

Ok…I started a thread in the Aviator section and added my picture.

Thanks for helping me
Great! The discussion is stuck to the top of the Aviator section. :)

Okay, so for example, "Lincoln Town Car FAQs"? And in that discussion, as items are added, the first post gets updated, keeping things in alphabetical order?

Here is a couple of great examples from a diesel site I am an Admin of.

--> Pinned up at the top of each model section for easy reference:

This is the Alphabetical setup of the important information members contribute to help others. This includes manuals, tips and tricks, diagrams, etc.

You could model the FAQ similar to help others find information faster

I couldn’t help myself and started one in the Nautilus section and put up my ride 😁

Thanks for all the volunteer time you put in here, you’re a rare one of a kind 👍🏻

I can do this - but before I do - what would you think about me creating an FAQ subforum in each section? The subforum would be listed above the topics and would allow for all topics relating to that model's FAQ's to be posted and discussed individually and specifically. Instead of having all the FAQs in one discussion, each FAQ would have it's own topic with discussion following that topic. It would be extremely easy to search through to find what you need. My feeling is that one big topic of all the FAQs will be difficult to follow and maintain as the topic will have discussion that follows for all the different FAQs being discussed. With a subforum dedicated entirely to the vehicle's FAQs, I think this would work well. Let me know your thoughts...

Thank you!

That would work perfectly. Each subforum can be the reference point for the model/section and members can easily find important items/discussion of topic
