• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "1998 Town Car" isn't going to indicate to anybody that you need help. However, "Need help with my 1998 Town Car" will. Be as descriptive as you can. Please use common sense... Okay, so our members will be providing these files, correct? And yes, I can stick a topic at the top of each vehicle's discussion forum.
Yes, members will be providing the files.

Okay, I'm planning on setting up something similar to the FAQ section where people can add dealer order information data and documents. Each Lincoln model will have a 'sticky post' at the top with a link to it's dealer order guide section.

This is something that'll be for new as well as old models, correct? For example, there will be an order guide for the Town Car to demonstrate what changes occurred over the years. Do I have that right?

For each section's Dealer Order Guide description, it'll read: "Steps to ordering, deciphering order processing/transit codes, employee discount code offerings, VIN check requests, etc."

All making sense?

Yes, as much as old model documents are available.

Okay, I have this topic posted and stuck to the top of this forum area - and we can bump it every so often so that people know it's a thing...

15mb... What is the file type you're trying to upload?
.pdf file I compressed it down from 9.59mb and still would not load

The Dealer Order topic should be reserved for New model year vehicles only.

I think those who have older models may appreciate the guides as well as those who are purchasing or have purchased used vehicles.

Sorry, I don't know what the issue could be with uploading a PDF of that file size. Perhaps it would make more sense, in the meantime, to have it uploaded somewhere else and linked to. Or if you could try again and maybe show me a screenshot of the error, perhaps that would shed some light...

Yes, I was wondering about this as well - but I tend to think people with older models would like to see the changes from year to year on past vehicles. I know that when I've searched for used cars in the past, I used information like this to find what was the best year in my opinion...

I posted the link to the .pdf from the website instead (y)

The dealer guides you posted have been "stuck" to the top of each section. Thank you.

New to forum. Can't find directions or instructions how to do things such as to adding a Signature, how to post a photo or anything. Is there a location for with that type of information?
@SgtLip I'm not super techy so please bear with me. If you got to the top right of the header you should see your name/avatar along the top right before the search option. If you click on your name it will pull up a pop up there you can go to your profile and account settings. I hope this helps. Welcome to the forums.

I can't find the $1.66 option

I'm new to the site. I have a 2016 MKX black label suv I love. I purchased used in 2019. The dashboard pleather separated and I'm trying to find a solution. I never noticed it until shortly after when I noticed it bubbling. The dealership quoted me 12k to repair it; insane. Your direction would be appreciated.
Most urban areas offer 1 or more independent top-tier upholstery service shops for autos, rv's, boats, etc.

I appreciate this forum for many reasons; however, I think if there would be some way to break up the vehicles by generation, lis the Lexus website, it would make it much easier to navigate; especially the Navigator. Not an IT person and would not know how much work that would involve, but a suggestion for the future. Thanks again for creating a busy website for Lincoln.

It's doable, but I typically avoid any change unless it's something a significant amount of people are looking for. As far as I know or can remember, you're the first here asking for separation. While it's easy enough to do (with a little help from people who are willing to report discussions that should be moved), I don't want to cause discomfort for people who prefer things as they are.

One of the issues I foresee is the potential to have multiple discussions on the same topic in different sub-forums. For example, an issue that can be had across multiple generations having several discussions with good answers being in some and not others...

But I do know this is common practice in many forum communities. We can certainly do it here, but I'd like to get opinions from our members. If you'd like, start a discussion and let me know so I can monitor it - and we can go from there...

My vote would be to leave the forums with all generations together.

And it is a non-issue if the user posts the year of the vehicle in question.
