Customer Satisfaction Program 24B54 - Certain 2024 Model Year Nautilus - Update Infotainment Software

FYI, it's only the Primacy A/S that's rated badly. The Primacy Tour A/S for instance, is rated very well. But with any tire, you have to prioritize noise vs wear vs dry vs wet vs snow vs economy — and pick what works for your driving style, geographic area, budget, whatever. Michelin has a lot of good tires. For some reason the Primacy is just not a good one.

And even if you like the Goodyears, you can find better for the same cost. Like many on here, I use TireRack.com as a strong source.
Just FYI a 285-40-22 is equal to the OE is size within 1% but you sacrifice rolling resistance. I'm pretty sure it will still fit on the factory 22 wheels too. LOTS more options at that size and would look a lot better stance wise.

I don’t know if this update affected the Bluetooth audio in the car, but I haven’t had anybody complain about the echo issue on the phone since I’ve had the update.

I went to the dealership today for this update only to be told that my car doesn't need it/it's not available for my car. Why does the app show it availabke for my car? It's listed with my VIN.

If the Lincoln app shows that it is available for your vehicle it should be done. To be certain go on the Lincoln website under recalls. Enter your VIN and it will show both recalls as well as CSBs for your vehicle that should be done. Go to a different dealer , or go to the Lincoln service manager or concierge at your dealer. Let them know that it is applicable.

We're talking about 24B54, right? Perhaps it's been superseded by 24C24?

I'll try the other dealership which is an actual Lincoln dealership, not a Ford dealership that also sells Lincoln. Unfortunately, it's 50 miles west of me. I didn't consider this when I decided to buy the car. The CSP is listed on the Lincoln website for my car in my account.

It is interesting that some dealers seem like they do not want warranty work. Are they so busy and low reimbursement behind the behavior? I always felt a good service department helped future sales.

My service rep made it quite clear to me that he doesn't want his technicians to have to do any significant debugging/research/testing/determination of what is causing an issue. He says Lincoln doesn't pay them for that time. In fact, he made it sound like individual technicians wouldn't get paid for spending hours trying to figure out what causes something. So those techs don't want to do it. I have no idea how techs are paid and whether its the same at all dealerships, but he made it sound like the techs get paid not by the hour, but by completing the defined job at hand using specific guidelines.

It irritated me that he took this position with me and made me think I will take future business to a different dealership.

As American brands like Lincoln and Cadillac try to re-enter the realm of world-class luxury vehicles, they have to learn that it's not the same world as it was 50 years ago. It's the whole ownership experience that sets the standard today.

I agree with everything said and I'm hoping this experience won't be the norm. If so, this will be my first and last Lincoln.

I thought that I would wait until CSP 24B54 was release to OTA to apply it, but today's events changed my mind:
When I started the engine, on the center screen I got a message that some update was installed successfully. No such message in the app though. The details mentioned update 10.2.0 which actually done 9 days ago. Started driving and I noticed that the map on the panoramic display was gone. I pulled into a parking lot, shut down and restarted the engine to no avail. Couldn't find anything in settings that was off. Did the reset by pressing the volume button for 10 seconds and that is when things went haywire. When it came back I briefly got the Lincoln home screen followed by a full screen map. No buttons down the left side, no icons down the right side and no buttons along the bottom of the screen. Several resets later finally I got the Lincoln home screen and I was able to go into settings. All the settings I had previously done were gone and there was only the one generic admin profile. Thanks to Lincoln I spent the next hour and some more redoing everything.
Once home I setup the appointment to have CSP-24B54 done. I will ask them to check for any other missing updates and do them.

Question: Is the profile saved in my Lincoln account or just in the Nautilus? If saved in the Lincoln account it should have been restored.

My thinking was that given application of 24B54 was tricky when done by some dealers (sometimes bricked the car), it would be more controlled to let them do it rather than an OTA where it is all happening un attended. For examp[e if you read the dealer instructions for 24B54, a near fully charged battery is needed for sucessful flashing.

I do not think of vehicle classes (luxury or not) that much. I bought a MKZ, my first Lincoln, because it was a better Fusion. I liked the Nautilus for what it was - a spacious, high tech crossover that compares well price-wise (at Premiere level) against with luxury or more loaded non-luxury brands for basics. I did not need leather seats, the pano roof, and other features that drive the price up. What I did learn with the Nautilus unlike the MKZ, parts are more expensive due to unique design.

I wonder how much of the problem with the software installs is the technicians not following the instructions. We've had several instances here where the dealerships have tried to do 24B54 remote when explicity told not to.
