Corsair lead time

The '21 Corsair GT I ordered in August, changed by Lincoln (or my dealer) to a '22 order in October, is finally scheduled for production, estimated to begin the week of May 23, 2022.

"Wonder of wonders, miracle of miracles."

The irony is that we planned to give our Explorer to our daughter, who was pregnant with twins, when the Corsair arrived when we ordered the vehicle . It almost took as long as the pregnancy to get us to this point, and the twins will be three months old when production begins (born on 2/22/2022). Maybe they will be old enough to drive when I finally get it ;-)

To close the loop on ours and capture the process, start to finish:
- Reserve, 2.3L Sport Package AWD, Pristine White
- 1/31/22, ordered from Bob Boyd Lincoln Columbus, OH; Ford X-plan pricing.
- Priority Code 19
- March 3rd, received email from Lincoln estimating production will be scheduled week of March 28.
- March 8th, received email from Lincoln stating production delayed to week of April 4th.
- March 30th, Window Sticker became available.
- April 3rd, Status changed to “In Production”
- April 8th, Received email stating it was built and estimated delivery to Columbus OH between 4/9 & 4/15.
- April 12th, dealership called telling me it arrived and wanted to schedule appt to complete the sale.
- April 15th, bought the car, all smiles so far for my wife in her first evening of driving.
- Total time from order to pickup: ~10.5 weeks.

Hello everyone, been reading everyone’s post~ thanks for good information. First time posting, I ordered my wife’s first Lincoln on 2-3-22, Corsair reserve 1 with all options. We got the bad news today that the technology package is no longer available for 2022 model due to chip shortages. Dealership is giving us option to have it built without tech package or wait for 2023 model. We are thinking of waiting for 2023 as I here it will have sync 4 with larger screen. Has anyone have any other input on 2023 model?

I’m in the same boat as you, I don’t have much input on the 2023s other than what you’ve listed. I will share my ordering experience with you though. Order confirmed on my Corsair Reserve 1, Sport AWD with all other packages on March 24. On Tuesday 4/12 my sales consultant called to let me know that they can no longer build the 24-way seats (part of the tech pkg) due to a parts shortage. He said they weren’t sure when the parts would be available and gave me the option to have it built without the tech pkg or to wait it out. Definitely wanting the tech pkg, I chose to wait. On Thursday 4/14, I received an email stating my Corsair is scheduled for an estimated production date of May 23. I spoke with my consultant and he was very surprised. He didn’t really have an answer as to why he was told one thing yet it is now scheduled for production. I did ask about the 2023s, but he said that I wouldn’t be able to order until October. I currently drive a 2008 Range Rover Sport so at this point either year 2022/23 will be an upgrade for me. I would like it sooner than later though. If I find out more or things change, I’ll update here. I’m also a first time poster/Lincoln owner and this forum has some great info. Best of luck to you!

That ‘22 GT that I ordered first week of September last year is on it’s way!
Too bad I already bought a ‘21.
dang. if you dont swap yours for this, the dealer will HAPPILY sell it.

I ordered my GT on 4 April 2022, and from what I am reading, I may not get the vehicle in 8 to 12 weeks as the dealership informed me. Guess I am going to wait for the email concerning the delay.

After 15 days 'in production' I finally received notice that my Corsair Reserve is built and should be delivered sometime next week. Timeline as of now goes ordered 1/28/22, notice for build date of 3/28 on 3/3, bumped to 4/4 and bumped again to 4/11. I never actually received notice of production but I did see it on the Lincoln website. 4/21 built and to be delivered 4/25-5/1.

So less than 12 hours after built notification I lurked on the Lincoln website and my car has been shipped.

What should we do about a leased Corsair that will finish in June 2023? If the lead time is 5 months, do we see the dealer 6 months in advance to order a new Lincoln Corsair or Ford Mustang E? Does the dealer extend the lease if the new car is not ready on time? They already called me about "getting a new Corsair at the same payment as your current Corsair", which turned out to be stretching the truth as we would lose the discount I negotiated when we leased the car and there are some other charges tacked on.

Hi felix. It is difficult/impossible to accurately predict what production lead times will be over a year from now. Hopefully, life and things in general will have returned closer to normal by then, which will mean orders being fulfilled in 8-12 weeks. We all certainly hope it will be better than 5-6 month production lead times by next year. However, the reality is that even Lincoln and/or a Dealership can not predict what lead times will be a year+ from now.

Concerning lease extensions etc.? Those are questions you will would need to ask Lincoln and your Dealership when the time comes closer. Those are individual programs and or decisions which can change by the month, week or even day, so whatever is being offered now is not applicable to a year from now. In other words, whatever deal someone else here got yesterday is irrelevant to wht you can get from your Dealership a year+ from now.

And always keep in mind that when a Dealer tells you they are going to get you "a new Corsair at the same payment as your current Corsair", it is usually all smoke and mirrors. They are only making you an offer so they can make more money for themselves. So always do all the math before purchasing.

Let us know how you make out and good luck.

I ordered a fully loaded GT, all packages and options except the harsher-riding 20" wheels, in late January. March 25 I was notified that the build was projected to be the week of May 16. Today I'm informed that has been delayed to May 30. The situation is not improving.

I had been considering cancelling the order, to wait for the updated '23 model. I would order it as soon as orders will be taken, presumably when announced in May (???). But I doubt that will happen, and even if it does, I now despair of getting a '23 by the winter, when I will need it.

I will continue to anticipate the arrival of my ordered '22...

My order has changed from shipped to final prep. Expect a call from the dealer. Hope there are no quality control issues.

I updated two posts ago. Now two days later, I'm advised that we've slipped another week, to June 6. Will I even get my '22 by winter, never mind a '23?

I ordered Feb 19 2022 and got the call yesterday that the Corsair was at the dealership, I have scheduled to go in Saturday at noonish, to finalize the paperwork, and Drive my new Corsair Reserve home, will be picking it up 1 day shy of a month after its birth.

Another week, another delay. Now it's week of June 13. I fear this car simply will not happen.

Have you called Lincoln Concierge? I do not know if it helps but it doesn't hurt. It will happen it is just not always on our timeline.

I find it interesting to see the number of delays being posted. I ordered the 22 Corsair GT back on 21/12/21 and as of March I had a proposed schedule build week of April 25. In the past few weeks the build week has been pushed back from May 3 to May 11 to now just in production with no schedule date according to Lincoln consierge.
Of course this now is somewhat frustrating but due to parts shortages it’s understandable.
I had a thought and started my research looking at the build sequence numbers on the VIN and comparing the last 5 digits to vehicles that have landed or arriving soon at dealer. To my surprise the arriving soon models had some really low sequence numbers compared to the numbers on my VIN. This leads me to believe I am in for a lot longer wait for the new ride to arrive and be delivered. Has anyone else been tracking sequence number with same results or different result? I made sure to compare same spec models as I have on order and not confuse the research with Standard of Reserve models.
Any feedback?

I ordered my Reserve on 1/28/22 priority code 10. Notification on 3/3 build was scheduled for 3/28 on 3/9 build date changed to 4/3 and again 3/11 bumped to 4/11. No further notification from Lincoln until 4/21 stating my vehicle was built. I did jump onto the Lincoln website and follow my VIN on a regular basis. It was less that 5 days from seeing in production to built. My guess is your car should be done soon. If Concierge could not help please reach out to your dealership.
