Corsair lead time

I just noticed this pop-up disclaimer on the build area for the Corsair on Lincoln Canad's site.
It defaults to Standard but I would imagine it applies across all three lines.

What is also sad, is that from mid-February when I got mine until now the price has gone up $3,750 for my exact configuration. Combined with new interest rates, the monthly payments are $204 more month. I'm glad I got mine when I did. I hope the situation improves for those who are waiting on theirs.

I knew Winnipeg was difficult to get to but not an additional $300. I hope they honour the price that I signed for or there might be one on the dealers lot for sale.

Received a build date of 5/23 on 4/14
In production on 5/17
Window sticker available on 5/18
Blend date of 5/27
MSRP increased only by ~ $500 (shipping by convoy to Tennessee)
Things appear to be moving right along!

I got black (Ebony) GT with Cashew seats and leather trim. Looks awesome. Everyone I show it to say they love it.

Ted, in my case I ordered all the options aside from the tow package and the bigger wheels. Order date / confirmed on 10/9, got my VIN on 12/8, and my original build week of 1/31 was pushed to 2/7. Heyward had a very fortunate schedule; from what I can tell most people are in the 4-5 months range from order to delivery.

Yes, the dealer said they were shocked when my car came in so fast compared to other customers. They just said I was lucky as they could not explain it. The only thing that seems to make sense was they have three other orders on the same production run so maybe it helped them by moving up my production. Not sure. After several months, I still am so pleased by this car. It is so damn quiet and gets great gas mileage. I maybe go to the gas station once every couple of months to fill the tank from half to full. It's amazing.

Hello everyone, been reading everyone’s post~ thanks for good information. First time posting, I ordered my wife’s first Lincoln on 2-3-22, Corsair reserve 1 with all options. We got the bad news today that the technology package is no longer available for 2022 model due to chip shortages. Dealership is giving us option to have it built without tech package or wait for 2023 model. We are thinking of waiting for 2023 as I here it will have sync 4 with larger screen. Has anyone have any other input on 2023 model?

For those that have taken delivery already, how long did the production take? My production was supposed to start this week (5/30). But I checked the status this past Friday (5/27) and it showed it was in production. And the window sticker had a date of 5/23 on it. That was 9 days ago. I assumed it would be built by now if it started last week. What was your experience?

Hi JLB. In normal, pre-pandemic shortage times, a vehicle was essentially "produced" in about ~1 to 1 1/2 days and ready to be quality tested/shipped etc.

That generally meant in through the front door of the assembly line/building, and out the back door in that time.
The problem now is that vehicles are being "produced", but then sitting and waiting in a storage area for computer ships and other parts/commodities that are in short supply. So the old rules are out the window for now, since the definition of "produced" can be a bit fuzzy. Generally speaking, is the vehicle "produced" when it roll off the assembly line (perhaps missing and waiting for a computer chip or other part), or is it "produced" when all the parts are finally installed on it?

What that all means is there is no single answer for your question. Some vehicles are "produced" in 1 to 1 1/2 days and ready to ship. Others are "produced", then sitting in a storage facility waiting for computer ships etc.

EDIT- Window stickers are available before production begins. When a window sticker becomes available has no direct bearing on the "production" date or vehicle completion.
In pre-pandemic days, window stickers were available as much as 10 days or more before the "production" date and as little as a few days before the
"production" date.

Got it. I've not had any of that communication so I'm not very hopeful this is even happening this year. Mine is a GT so maybe it'll be even longer than the ICE models. I'd hate to start looking at other manufacturers but they're probably all in the same boat, or worse. All my prior Lincolns have been good for us so maybe I'll just have to bide my time and put the calendar out of my mind!

I odered basiclly the same thing on 4/18 and haven’t heard anything since the confirmation. I also ordered a bronco a while back and just got a build date for it. Now i need to decide to wait for the Corsair or get the bronco. It’s funny because I ordered the corsair because of the Bronco wait and that I liked to Corsair too and now I’m in a complete opposite scenerio.

Ordered my GT on April 4, 2022, and yesterday I received a text from the dealership that production may start in July or August.
On a positive note the sales rep stated they will still honor the trade in value.
