HELLO

I bought a black-label yacht club 3 months ago. The active glide worked for 3 months. It stopped working at the end of September. There was an update one night on air and the next day active glide did not work. I have taken my car 3 times to the dealership and they do not know what is going on. Yesterday they told me that Lincoln does not have an active glide license anymore and another system should work but that has not worked also. Supposedly there is a recall on active glide. The dealership gave me a brand new vehicle with a glide to try and the active glide was not working in the new vehicle also. The technicians at the dealership are saying that there is no guidance from Lincoln on how to fix active glide. They have to call the hotline to get guidance. No one knows how to fix active glide.

Can you please figure out what is going on with active glide

What exactly are you asking about? Are you asking about the semi hands free Lincoln ActiveGlide driving aid? Not sure what your Dealership was referring to when they told you "...Lincoln does not have an active glide license anymore and another system should work but that has not worked also." You will need to ask your Dealership for more information.

Of course Lincoln vehicles still have ActiveGlide. It is a relatively recently released feature. And I have seen no information concerning a recall for the Lincoln Active Glide feature.

When the car was sold to me 3 months ago at that time I was told that active glide is completely hands-free on certain highways and it worked for 3 months. Now stopped working. We were not told all of this information. The other system is also not working.

Hi mafzai. Lincoln ActiveGlide will work semi hands-free on certain highways. It is not an autonomous/fully hands free driving feature. If you take your hands off the wheel for too long, the system will alert you to put them back on and will turn off if you don't.

As far as what your Dealership told you (who did you speak with?)...There is no lost license or recall for Lincoln ActiveGlide. So you will need to ask them more questions. Preferably your Service Advisor or the Service Manager.

There is no fully autonomous, fully hands free driving aid in the US. Not even Tesla, despite what some Tesla owners believe.

If your system is not working correctly, then you need to address it again with the Service Department at your Dealership, and/or Lincoln Concierge.

I am very well aware that how active glide should work. The active glide was working for 3 months hands-free on major highways. Now even on those highways, the active glide is asking me to hold the steering wheel. Before when I used to come to those major highways active glide will prompt me on the dashboard that hands-free options are available I used to activate it and the hands-free option will work.
Now for the last 2 weeks the hands-free option on major highways which Lincoln says 130k miles of US roads that are mapped is not working. The dealership technicians do not know what is going on. They are saying that your car is the first one we sold with this and you are the first one complaining. Lincoln has not given any guidance about how to fix active glide either. I have also tried to update the system but still not working hands-free on mapped highways. What I was told while the car was sold was a lie.
I am very well aware of the Tesla autopilot also. I also know that Lincoln does not have the license of active glide anymore. Lincoln has another system. That system is not working either.

We do not know what occurred in the first three months you owned your vehicle. In addition, perhaps something changed on those roads you travel which made it necessary to eliminate Hands free driving for the time being. Things such a construction etc. (simply theorizing). There are constant road updates, so no way to determine for sure

I am not sure where you are getting this information. On mapped roads I used to go for miles without holding steering wheel and without active glide asking me to hold steering wheel. Even in construction zones activeglide used to drive car hands free. I used to drive myself in construction zones. Activeglide didnot work half mile before or after where toll transponders on top of highway. I am not talking about toll booths. But overhead toll transponders where cars do not stop. Lincoln does not have activeglide license any more.

And again, you need to address this issue with your Lincoln Dealer and Lincoln Concierge. If you think the system is not working properly, and your Dealership tells you there is nothing they can do to correct it, then initiate a Lemon law claim.

Mazfal, something to consider or test. Is any of your assist features working correctly besides active glide? Try seeing if everything else works to get a Guage if your hands free is working since it mainly uses those systems anyway. If those don't work correctly, then you'll it's def not the feature itself but be the vehicle that's not right.

I have already complained and sent the car to the dealership multiple times to fix activeglide. The foreman also did not know how active glide works and what to check. I had to ride with him and show him how it should work. Then they gave me a brand new navigator to try the active glide system. He sat with me. The active glide did not work in the brand-new navigator either. I go to a big dealership. I think I will have to get an attorney to invoke lemon law. I have never done that. I am not sure if I can invoke lemon law myself.

Hi mafzal. Yes, you can initiate a Lemon Law case against the automaker. Take out your Owners Warranty Guide and follow the instructions to begin a BBB Autoline Arbitration case. It is a non-binding (on you) arbitration process, and the first step in most Lemon Law cases.

From the information you have provided so far, I believe you need to verify more before you do, but if you feel you are at the point of needing the Lemon Law point, then initiate a claim.

I used ActiveGlide today on the same stretches of Interstate 55 that have worked since I bought the vehicle. I don't understand this loss of license discussion.

In my vehicle, the 2022 Yacht club black label is not working. Did you do some kind of upgrade? Did hands-free work? The dealership I go to has no clue what is going on. Also, I drove the brand-new vehicle with active glide last week and active glide did not work. The documents I have seen say that Lincoln does not have an active glide license anymore and there should be another system.

No update. What documents? Forget the dealer and contact Lincoln Concierge. Where do you live? Are you in the US?

Yes, I am in Florida. I have called Lincoln Concierge multiple times and they are telling me to take the car to another dealership. I have sent 2 letters to them also. No response yet. They are not helpful. I go here in big dealership. no help

Okay, well, I still don't understand what it means to say that Lincoln no longer has a license for AG. That is just false. Find another dealer, check all pf the settings for AG. It has not been decommissioned.

What highway were you using to test whether or not it worked with the other new Navigator?

Okay, that is interesting. Yes, I and many others received the OTA update for the new maps in August. The documentation shows that dealers should be able to update the maps if your vehicle is one of the affected VINs.

Have you shown this to your dealer, and they are still not sure what to do? Is there another dealer you can go to?
