2024 Hybrid Nautilus (Engine Problems)

I bet if you got the dealer to replace the injectors they would charge more hours than Lincoln allows.
Oh yes indeed! That is why warranty work is delegated to the "B" mechanics in the shop. No money to be made in servicing warranty repairs!

This may burst a few bubbles, mine if this isn’t true - according to my service advisor, they will schedule your injector replacement after you get your letter from Lincoln saying your injectors are available. All of us affected hybrid owners are waiting for golden tickets. No advance reservations.
Your dealer is jerking you around. The letter that went to US dealers yesterday clearly stated that if the vehicle is on the affected list they should make the repair, it doesn't matter whether the customer has received a letter.

The dealer may choose to do what they're doing, but it's not what Lincoln is saying they should be doing. The attached is a screenshot of a part of the letter.

Thanks for the straight scoop. My bubble is burst, as I presented earlier as a possibility. Feathers flew. lol.

As I posted in the other thread, I talked to the service manager at my purchasing dealer and he said he will install the parts as soon as they came in. He confirmed he cannot order them until June 3 so up to Lincoln to get parts to him. He has no date for that. I was the only one asking about the fix so would be first in line. From my experience with Ford, parts usually come out of Georgia and takes 2 days so if they started shipping yesterday (the best possible date), it would be end of the week.

Given the wording in the CSP and notice to dealers and seed stock, Lincoln appears to consider this serious but some of the dealer network seems somewhat ambivalent but maybe this is the norm for this so cannot get too excited.

Per Haz on another site, the US Professional Technical System (PTS) notice (the full bulletin, companion to the 20 May letter) did come out yesterday, 21 May.

Also, as of yesterday, "No Ford of Canada document or announcement yet, where 351 vehicles are affected."

I purchased my vehicle from an out of state dealer. Local dealers could not find the combination of features and color. It couldn’t be ordered so I searched online for the right vehicle. Now I fear my “seed stock” parts will be sent to the selling dealer and I’ll have to wait until they can order the parts. Local dealer hasn’t received any parts yet, but says they will let me know if/when they receive some. Any thoughts?

My dealer confirmed they have seed injectors in house and all of the fuel rail and clips required. they also ordered and received my rear shocks. Made an appointment for Wednesday

I stopped by my dealership about an hour ago and they have already received the parts to swap the injectors on my Nautilus. So I scheduled the day for this service to be done and they will come pickup my Nautilus leave me a loaner and return my vehicle when completed.

I called my dealership Monday and yesterday and left a voicemail, both with no response. Made an online appointment and dropped it off today. Called another dealership in town on my way there, guy seemed bothered we existed on the same planet, and landed with "my system doesn't let me see parts availability".. ok.

Service advisor at my dealership didn't know if they had parts in stock. Said he'd get it coded and call me. No call today of course. Left them with a laundry list of things to do. I'll give them the same "don't give me that car back until all of the issues are fixed, otherwise, don't call me" rhetoric I had to give Volvo if it gets to it. I was doing u-turns in Volvo's parking lot and leaving my keys on the advisors desk and leaving.

I feel like I'm on an island of bad dealerships. :(

That's awesome! What city/state are you in?

Here's a sample of the notification letter hybrid owners can expect if their car is on the injector replacement list. It was originally posted by Haz on another site. It's captured in 2 screenshots.

Wow. This is just crazy. Six engine replacements just in our little corner of Nautilus-dom. Many of you guys are much more mechanical than I am. Do you think that if this problem doesn't occur in the first few days of ownership, then owners are in the clear? Really thankful right now that I chose the ICE model. I feel like I dodged a bullet.

One way or the other, it seems to me that Lincoln needs a stop sale on the Hybrid to have the injectors inspected before cars are delivered.
Add me. 3 weeks old. Needs new engine so now it's 7

Update on my 24 hybrid that broke down after 380 miles. It is still at the dealership. They have 4 other Nautilus hybrids at that dealership with the same issue (suspected Fuel injectors). Dealership stated that they can't order parts and are waiting from corporate on next steps. Still waiting on hearing back from Corporate on the case I created. Hopefully should hear back today.
Also purchased from Lincoln Cincy on 4/21. On 4/29 our nautilus was on its way back to the dealer after having blown engine. After three weeks of not getting any useful info from the dealer we called the concierge number. We now have a case# and awaiting call from the re-acquisition team to start buy back process.

Sorry to hear that. But I'm pretty sure that I'd be firmly in the camp of re-acquisition rather than repair/engine replacement for a brand new car. Good luck to you.
