Town Car Photo Gallery

This is the 1993 Signature I picked up from my son in law. He bought it off the original owner when he became too old to drive, and proceeded to take it back and forth to work for six years. Now I'm trying to undo some of that abuse and neglect and keep it going. Air is still R-12 and ice cold (but only blows on high speed), 3 of 4 windows work, 2 of 4 door locks work, the trunk pulldown has to be fiddled with each time you close it, and the driver power seat doesn't work and the control switch is hanging off the door panel where the speaker should be. No center caps but the wheels are good and plenty of good tread on the tires. Deer hit 2 years ago caused the no grille insert, no lenses on the front turn signals, and the cracked header panel, BUT the hood ornament survived. Definitely need to polish or replace the headlights and the driver side cornering lens has no Lincoln logo so it either came off or is an aftermarket piece. The HVAC control buttons are mostly cracked and gone, the dash vents are missing pieces, the carpet is a mess, the seats are coming apart, the driver belt buckle doesn't work so I have to use the center position buckle when I drive it, and the headliner is beginning to come down at the rear window. It burns and leaks a TON of oil. About 120-130 miles to a quart. Pretty sure it's a combination of valve stem seals and the rear main seal. Transmission shifts nice, brakes are perfect, air suspension has been removed (not sure anything in its place I think I'm riding on coils only), cooling system is perfect, there's a lot of things that do work and a lot of things that don't, but it makes a great spare car when my van breaks down, so there's that. Odometer picture is from when I brought it home, it's well over 274,000 now.

Very nice. Was it hard to set up the subs with the way the trunk space is laid out? I really miss having the extra punch in my music but the JBL box with 2 12inch subs inside is all wrong the way the box is shaped (angled on the back to slide behind a backseat, but we all know Town Car trunk space is entirely different). Nice touch with the tints too btw.

I just dropped two 12's in a box in the trunk and called it good, yes they take up a good amount of trunk space but I'm ok with it. I've seen where people have built custom sub boxes to fit on the parcel shelf in the trunk. I think it could only hold 8' or 10's though. If you do any woodworking, building a custom box would be the way to go.

Thanks for the response, I almost dropped my box in too but it just took up too much space (the box itself is a display with LEDs inside) so I’ve started looking at the newer slim sub boxes, built for mounting behind or under truck seats where trunk space isn’t an option, just the cab. I was thinking that might be the perfect option for that parcel shelf, just don’t have anywhere here to sample the sound before buying one. The slim design is ultra clean too, still wouldn’t know where to run the wires through the trunk though. Must be such a nice ride with the sound right 👍🏼👍🏼

Good luck! Also, running the wires through the trunk isn't that difficult. You just need to take off the back seat cushions.
