What did you do to your Town Car today ?

I was just looking thru the owners manual and found the window sticker..$46,145.00. Options were $145.00 for all season tires and $895.00 for 17x7 Aluminum/chrome wheels.. What I'm trying to find now is exactly what options were available at the time.

I do have a Michelin brochure in the owners manual..

New Headlights installed, 160 Thermostat, Plugs, Coils, rotors, pads and LOF this weekend. She’s been in storage for 7 months, so needed a wake up call.

I'm waiting for line of Thunder storms to come through Florida and give her a rinse..

I just gave her my first complete wash..Took me 2 hours! I still have to get the windshield washer squirters fixed and detail 100% the interior myself but it's really clean. I'm coming out of a 2015 Honda Fit I bought new and really have to get used to all the different controles (and size!) so I don't get distracted. I see now I'll need to get a dead pedal for my left foot to rest on..And figure out the memory settings!!

I scraped a brick wall driving my Dad's Town Car. I was forced into a tight spot to make room in a parking lot and underestimated what a boat it is. :-b

That was on the day you started the discussion. Today, I discovered wet seat belts. I recently took custody of his car when he couldn't drive safely. Now it's my job to sell it, but I already damaged the front fender AND now it is leaking water. Plus, the headlight system accumulates water, the headlight glass has film inside and is impossible to clean, and it is dang expensive to replace!

Sorted out the cornering lamps in the front fenders. The smaller bulbs will illuminate with the headlights but the larger bulbs are activated through a pair of relays just under the steering wheel behind the trim panel via the turn signal circuit. So when the turn signal is flashing the corresponding side lamp will illuminate in that direction.

Finally found some rust worth mentioning on this `88. I hit this with a green scuff pad dipped in some old unused 5w or 10w oil like other spots underneath. Comes out looking new and stays that way, so far.

Lots of work done lately but of course, I skimped on the pics, sorry. In the last few months, I've added a new Sony double-din head unit with Apple CarPlay, all new interior speakers, found out the factory sub is dead, ordered a new one (have yet to install that), and replaced almost the entire HVAC system (everything but the condenser). All that to have the radio seem underpowered when really jamming and the A/C not blowing cold. A bit frustrated but hoping to get it sorted tomorrow. Cheers y'all!!!

Took some time this last weekend and refreshed the steelies. The wheels themselves were a bit rough but they look pretty good at 5-10 feet.

Nice and shiny again. Now we wait until Friday when I get the Aviator center caps. This is gonna look pretty good I think.

Had to replace the original, OEM windshield after 27 years of service.
Damn those Semi Trucks throwing rocks...
