Some more updates to my handsome '07 Town Car Signature Limited!
* Replaced the headlights with Sylvania ZXE Golds, low and high beams. It may be a small nudge of color temperature, but I like the effect.
* Replaced many of the plastic pushpins for the front-of-the-nose cover, rear deck, and trunk liner, with newer, non-beat-up ones.
* Finally completed the power bridge for that Wolfbox G840S camera mirror system. Removed the provisional ODB bridge.
* Connected it up to ForScan, verified all modules are happy and functioning, and will be backing up their configuration tonight, in case they ever fail in the future and a re-flash is needed.
* Applied a Wave Motion Engine sub-badge to the trunk lid, because if I'm going to drive a glorious grey battleship, we're heading off to Iscandar to save the human race, one of these days.
* Opened up the passenger door panel to swap out the speaker adapter for a matching Metra 72-5601.
* Replaced rear deck speakers with a pair of Rockford Fosgate Punch P1683s.
* Learned that my car actually *did* have a subwoofer installed, despite documentation to the contrary.
* Ran wires to connect surprise unexpected subwoofer to Kenwood DPX794BH, with impressive sonic results.
* Frantically dialed back bass frequencies again so that car no longer shattered concrete when listening to music. Tested this, plus the new headlights, with a long, smooth, supple night drive around the Spanish-moss-covered back roads to Pink Floyd's "Breathe."
* Picked up a Noco Boost GB40 for battery emergencies.
* Started making a list of the tools I regularly use to do small work on the car. Going to build out a trunk tool roll to permanently live in the car.
* Shopped for small portable tire inflators to pair with the Noco in the trunk.
* Convinced myself that puddle lights are a step too far, and hard to do tastefully. Wishlisted a few puddle lights anyway.
* Now that I know that Canbus LEDs play nicely with it, replaced door jamb lights and map lights with much, much nicer 400 lumen white 578s.
* Frantically researched how actual people with actual hands remove those tiny 194/168 T10 type bulbs from the footwells and glove box. Any advice? Want to replace these with LEDs, too.
* Ordered cup holder expanders for my huge Yeti tumbler, and the obscenely large Diet Cokes at the drive-in. Two Seven Spartas -- one with the optional tray for the popcorn bag, that's removable. Yes, drive-in is important to us, but also, I still drink from Giant American Beverage Buckets and these adorable 2.7" cupholders are relics of a more moderate, better-managed time in our collective beverage history.
* Called around locally for quotes on a light engine detailing. It's a little dusty, and now that it's a garage baby again, it needs a happy engine bay.
* Bridged HomeLink to my newer garage door opener. Am inordinately pleased that the visor buttons natively work now.
* Lost sparkly ridiculous license plate to wife, the moment she saw it. Got another one.
* Realized the hardwired QC3 port just stopped working. Cursed, sputtered, tested connections...yep, looks like the box just croaked on me. Dug out 12V port QC3 charger with on/off button and supremely JDM-bold battery tester meter. It'll do.
Hope you're all having as much fun with yours as I've been, with mine!
