Dealer should not be charging over MSRP. Go somewhere else. My dealer was great and does not charge over MSRP. I got a hefty discount using the Lincoln X-Plan. I ordered my Corsair GT on Dec 2nd and got it on 1/26/22. Vary fast but it all depends on a lot of factors like how large your dealer is, how much they have invested, how many locations do they have and at what volume, what model you ordered and what options. It's complicated these days because of the improving chip shortage but they are prioritizing customer orders over dealer orders. It probably helps if you order higher end options. I believe they are prioritizing orders that match other orders so they can deliver together. I have seen others get their cars in 2 months while others 6 months. I would say the average is 3-4 months. Not a long time to wait. Americans are not used to ordering their cars but Europeans always order their cars and the system is set up to work that way. Ford is moving in that direction from what I read and heard from my dealer. Ordering will be the norm. That is the norm if you buy a Tesla. It makes more sense from the manufacturing point of view. It makes sense from customer point of view if you think about it. With the order process, you get what you want exactly.
What I like:
1. Art of the design and the looks are awesome
2. It's hellacious quiet
3. It's saving lots of money with PHEV...rarely having to fill the gas tank and paying a dollar a day for filling the battery is damn cheap
4. Awesome audio
5. 24 way seats are incredible
6. The headlights and tail lights are super nice
7. The color selection I chose
8. Comfortable and quite elegant vehicle....not many other cars were competitive with the GT and high end options
9. Perfect size vehicle and ride
Dislikes:
1. The Lincoln supplied charger is pretty skimpy looking and the cable is half the diameter of the ChargePoint Home charger I bought
2. The location of the passenger side fuse box. Really hard to get to. I figured out a way to power my radar detector and car security cameras using the ODBII port. That is the way to do it.
3. Not much else.....this car rocks!
