What are your likes and dislikes concerning the Lincoln Corsair?

Mpg for local driving appears to meet my expectations; I'm at 72+mpg, still climbing, still on first tank of gas at 570 miles.

Highway mpg is a disappointment but was known upfront. This 72 mpg does include one 220 mile road trip so the higher mpg average is definitely possible if you keep the battery charged and remember to select Pure EV mode.

I'd like to know what people love about their Lincoln Corsair - and what they don't love about it. Let's hear it!
I don’t like the big seat belt reminder on my screen every time I start my car. I have to hit “ok” or drive a while and it disappears. Very annoying. Can’t find a setting to turn it off.

Uh, you’re driving without wearing your seat belt?

There is a setting somewhere. Even buckling up before starting 2023 Corsair. After initial start, the seatbelt reminder lights up forcing you too hit OK for it to turn off.

Not I but the reminder comes on even if not moving. Should not come on until move, reach at least some minimum speed, say 5mph.

I've no quarrel with a reminder but needs to be much smarter.

The seat belt reminder shows up when all seatbelts are being used. It show the outline of a car with green check mark to show your belt is connected.

Then that is a change - my '22 Corsair doesn't do any of this junk. No nannies!

Sync 4 vs. Sync 3.4. There are lots of these differences. The big improvement is the handling of the 360 cameras. The screens when reversing are better (mostly due to the larger screen), but the new feature I like the best is the front view. It will automatically come on when you get close to a wall when pulling into a garage or parking space.

Yes, and I believe you can also change the view of the camera. Have you tried that?

Yes you can toggle between a wide angle to a more traditional view.

I have to agree, this is the single biggest thing I don't like about the 2023 Corsair. For everybody who doesn't have one, it is not how this works in any other car I have owned. Even if all occupied seats are buckled before you start the car, this huge reminder still fills the instrument cluster until you either press OK, or drive for about 1 minute. Come on Lincoln, I don't need to see a notice, especially an "in your face" one, if the seat belts are already buckled.

The manual has a procedure you can follow to totally disable the reminder for each seat. But I don't need that and I don't mind a reminder in case someone did forget to buckle up. However, a notice when everyone is buckled is just stupid. The manual does not state how to turn this one off, or shorten its display time.

Other likes and dislikes, in no particular order:
  • The Sync 4 system is far superior to the Sync 3 system we have in our 2019 Navigator. The voice recognition is very good and there is no need to learn very specific commands.
  • However, the way to edit favorite navigation destinations is very unintuitive. There is no detailed manual for Sync 4 and I had to look online to find this trick. (Hint: slide the favorite item left, and edit and delete icons show up). After you figure it out, it is easy, but there should be an on-screen icon. I wasted over an hour on this.
  • The Revel audio system is excellent.
  • I am extremely impressed with the Blue Cruise; it works much better than I expected and you quickly feel confident it will not get you into an accident.
  • The 24-way perfect position seats are not as comfortable as the ones in our Navigator.
  • I cannot figure out how to program more than one 5-digit combination into the exterior door lock keypad. It only ever remembers the last one entered, despite what it says in the manual.

I just purchased a certified 2020 standard Corsair with all the possible packages (almost like a reserve)
Things that annoy me are:
Cannot hang up a call while using the GPS. You have to touch screen the control, go into phone and hang up. Not good when trying to follow the Map screen.
Nite mode. The GPS has a mind of it's own when the sun goes down. Maybe it will go into nite mode or not. The screen at nite can be almost blinding when not in nite mode. Work around is playing with the headlite switch and the console dimming switch to make it go into nite mode.
The radio is not great. The tweeters are cheep and at times don't seem to work. Stereo is a joke.
It takes a while for the sync 3 unit to turn on. My 2016 MKC within seconds was all turned on and ready to go. This one takes time to get up and ready especially the GPS.

But so far these are not game changers. All else considering I'm happy with the vehicle.
I've mentioned a few pet peives on my 2022 Corsair phev. Lately, I've noticed it takes several minutes for the rear camera system to fully activate on startup. When backing out of our garage, some cross traffic is missed, no warning. When I wait a couple minutes, whether checking on something or just being slow, there system fully engages and sees the cross traffic/bikes/pedestrians. Not the most comforting system. Going to mention it at service time.
Still disappointed with it. For me it is not sensitive enough, has limited range, and simply misses too much. No longer sure it s slow startup. Anyone with similar issues?

I wonder if what you guys is seeing with the seatbelts is part of a new federal mandate. The only way to know would be to see what another manufacturers vehicle does. When they had the seat belt recall it was because they weren’t compliant. Anyone have another brand 2023 ? Is it the same or different ?

Having to turn on safety features, should be on by default
Adaptive cruise control, while driving in a 45mph zone all of a sudden it see's speed limit of 80mph
very upsetting when the car just goes from 45 to 80.

I agree...that seems like a good idea at first, but I think it is poorly executed. I think changing the speed dynamically gradually based on speed limits would be OK, but I don't like as soon as you activate the cruise control it accelerates quickly to the posted speed limit plus my tolerance; it should wait until I actually push the SET button.

Therefore I had to turn off this particular feature of the cruise control:
Features->Driver Assistance->Cruise Control->Adaptive Cruise Control->Predictive Speed Assist->OFF

I agree also, just got our GT on Saturday and tried Adaptive cruise for the 1st time to test it. Didn't realize it was set (not by me) at a Tolerance 7MPH over. Activated it in a 35 MPH zone while I was probably at 25MPH and suddenly it accelerated to 42MPH before I realized what was happening. Needless to say I changed the Tolerance to 0. I'll try it again another time before shutting it off if I don't like its actions.

Where in the world does the speed limit jump from 45 to 80?

Idaho, Texas, Utah and Wyoming have areas that the speed limit is at least 80.

I hope they eventually make it smarter but the Adjust to the speed limit is perhaps it's greatest feature. Remember it goes the other way too (think school zones).

It's no big deal, just a reminder that you're presumed to always be in control.

Too, with use of the gas pedal, resume, +, and - you do have considerable control over it's operation.
