Town Car EATC Self test

2007 Town Car with 51,000 miles.
Hey guys. I just bought this car and I'm having blend door actuator issues. I got 3 codes on the EATC self test.
2266, 1242,1263.
If 3 are bad and I have to remove the dashboard, I'd just prefer to replace all 5 blend doors. I found the descriptions but not sure which parts to order beforehand. I could use your help. PS. Should I order directly from Ford or will a Doorman part fron O'Reilly Auto Parts work just as well?
Thank you for your help.

Toolguy: I've read reports of non-motorcraft blend door stuff not lasting. I guess it's a YMMV thing. Considering how big a job it is, I'd be paying extra for Motorcraft parts myself. Some folks also replace the heater core while the dash is off. Good luck.

2003 and up EATC self test with pdf files

Attached are the 2007 Town Car EATC self test and cold boot procedures in pdf format. These should work for 2003 and up models of the Town Car.

Good luck.

2007 Town Car "Designer" series. 38K miles. Just bought it. Driving it around, AC on...cold air on drivers vents, hot on passenger side. What the heck? Check forums. Run EATC diagnostic. 2266 1263 2267 1264. Got it. YouTube. Looked at videos of actuator locations in 5 places. Best guess is, even with 4 codes, likely 2 are intertwined with each other. More research. On to Rockauto website. Order 2 actuators and replaced one so far, the one labeled Motorcraft "YH-1753" simply listed as "Blend" on Rockauto. Replaced it and it's the easy one...passenger side, where you only have to remove the glovebox (technically). I removed the air bag as well. This was relatively simple. OK...replaced the replaced the unit, reinstalled the airbag, did the cold boot process and the follow up diagnostic test gave me 1263 (key off), then1263 1264, then a 3rd run gave me 1263 (Panel/defrost door failure) so I figure 1263 is pretty solid. Rockauto lists all 5 "YH" part numbers...YH1753 (Blend), 1754 (Defrost mode), 1755 (Floor mode), 1756 (Recirculation) and 1768 (Located at inlet door. Main unit ATC). Out of all of those "YH" part numbers, YH1754 is the only one that even mentions the word "defrost" in the part description. I ordered the part and the actuator has a plastic lever. Any idea, with a 1263 code, is the YH 1754 the correct line to pursue or am I barking up the wrong tree?

See post #2 in the following thread for part number info.

Yes, YH1754 is the defrost actuator and related to the 1263 code.

The YH1754 does have a straight plastic lever. YH1755 has a curved lever.
