My Lincoln
2019 nautilus
First noticed no engine cover, now floppy rear fenders. What’s next?

Did you have these issues? What did you do?

Personally, my issues involve numerous software bugs in the older Sync 3 infotainment system that come and go; Water leakage out of the back hatch when washing the vehicle; Seats that had to be brought to the dealer to be tightened to stop movement; Numerous recalls, one of which involves a danger of engine fire that Ford/Lincoln still has not been able to fix.

You'll find many posts here about build quaility issues which is why when you mentioned yours, it came at no surprise.

I am the crumudgeon around here when it comes to Ford/Lincoln. I don't think their vehicles are well-built.

However, others here will give you a more optimistic viewpoint.

The only issue I am having with my 23 Reserve III 202A package is rattles when driving on surface roads at slower speeds. There is a pretty bad rattle about the sunshade somewhere around the glass roof. It is in the dealer right now getting that taken care of. It's quite annoying when driving if you don't have the radio up loud.

Software bugs, multiple recalls, subpar build quality

First thing Ill say is, people go out of their way to complain, hardly anyone ever makes an effort to praise. Hence why 99% of any forum for any vehicle from all manufacturers youll find more complaints than praise. So take that into consideration. Also, no vehicle is perfect. Well maybe a hand built and rattle tested Rolls before it even leaves the factory....but who wants to pay for that? These just like 99% of all other vehicles on the roads these days are mass produced at a quick pace. Fit and finish will be excellent, but never perfect. Alot of the 20-23 models had COVID related issues with feature deletes, chip shortages, and other measures necessary to get vehicles to dealerships rather than being held in lots at the factory with people waiting on their orders to arrive at dealerships for months on end (and prices skyrocketing even further than they already have due to an even bigger shortage while they were being held). The new vehicle bumper to bumper warranty is there for a reason. Use it. My wifes 24 Corsair wasnt perfect either. Had the subwoofer delete. We fixed that. My 23 Nautilus had feature deletes. We retrofitted parts when they became available. The floppy fenders can be fixed with parts ordered from a 20-22 model (theres some plastic pieces not present on the newer ones that are there on the older ones, they are direct bolt on fits that fix this very issue and there are plenty of posts in this forum about just that).

I feel people have very unrealistic expectations when it comes to vehicles these days (I'm a Service Advisor at a Ford dealership, I deal with people like this every single day.) You can go visit your Toyota/Lexus dealership, and their service departments are filled up with appointments 2 weeks out as well (so much for reliability). Mass produced vehicles with so many electronics, and parts will have some quirks. If you demand perfection, pony up for it and buy a hand built, rattle tested, pre-broken in vehicle from the factory like a Rolls or Bugatti or Bentley.
