MY2023 Aviator Order Timeline Tracking thread

Ours is still sitting in Michigan after being built 2/20. I told the dealer yesterday if it’s not here in a week we’ll be shopping around. We started pricing a Yukon locally. This is ridiculous.

Dealer called and said it would be here yesterday. Called was told it was in Port Newark (not sure why). Now it’s still in Michigan. It was built on February 20th.

My dealer has no answers. Any ideas on what to do?

Did it go to Michigan for the running boards? My guess is that is sitting in a body shop waiting for parts. Maybe that is outside of Ford/Lincoln's purview

I have no idea. Hard to believe it takes 2 months to put on Running Boards.

2020 brochure

For 2020 it looks like they are as "factory" installed optional accessories on some Aviators, or available afterwards as an accessory.
2021 only listed as accessory
2022, same as 2020, optional on Base and Reserve, not on GT
2023 doesn't mention it at all

I cancelled our order. We found a comparable Aviator (same color and interior -- no running boards) which was $10K more. The car is really nice. The ordering experience was not.

Is it a Reserve or BL? Your profile just shows 2023 Aviator. Will the original one still show up at the dealership?

Its a Reserve 201A; our previous one was Reserve 200A with running boards. I assume the original will show up at that dealer but who knows? I checked the tracker and the dealer's website and its still at the factory. Fun fact! The one we bought was built 4 days after the one we ordered.

Be prepared for that to move backwards. Mine went into production April 6 and is currently in purgatory (not completed).

I am currently waiting on delivery. Ordered 01/05/23. Text from dealer on 4/10 that it should have arrived yesterday, 4/19. No sign of it yet...

Well we do not see it going back. Only getting built sooner, ours is just a Reserve edition....

Good luck with that. Mine (Reserve I) was ordered Oct. 31st and was to be built on April 5th with delivery on May 6th. Just over 5 months to be built and another month for delivery.

Ordered 3/9/23, vin assigned that day with production date of 4/24. Then a few weeks later, production date changed to 5/5. Just went to the "Track my Lincoln" page and it has been moved to "in production". Exciting! (Reserve 201A w/luxury package, ceramic pearl ext/sandstone int).

This delivery process is crazy. Supposedly left factory on 4/6 with delivery estimate of 4/16-4/22. It was assigned to a truck at rail yard that week then for some reason it was cancelled. Spoke with salesman today and he gave a delivery date of 4/29.

Well, status changed to “Final Prep” this morning and it is at the dealership being unloaded right now. Pickup tentatively scheduled for tomorrow afternoon. Glad to finally see the light at the end of this long tunnel!
