MY2023 Aviator Order Timeline Tracking thread

.....................................
So basically 2.5 months from order to delivery.
That was the timeline prior to Covid and the parts shortages.
Mine was ordered 10/31 and is still in Order Processing.

Peter

My build week finally came in, was hoping yours had too.
I've never received anything at all from Lincoln. All my info has come from phone calls with the Concierge. I'll give my salesman a call tomorrow.
What is the build date they gave?

I finally got two emails forwarded from my dealer:

- On 01/12/2023 - Scheduled for Production the Week of February 27th, 2023.

- On 01/17/2023 - Revised Production For the Week of February 6th, 2023.

I have a blend date for Jan 14 for my Aviator Reserve, then received an email 3 days ago referencing supply chain issues. Vehicle Visibility Report says estimated delivery at dealer is Feb 9. What’s your take on this?

I suspect the "supply chain" email was a general email blast, not necessarily specific to you. If your blend date was Jan 14 (prior to your supply chain email) and the VVR says Feb 9th, my take is your dealer should see it around Feb 9th. Just my $.02.

Where do you see a Vehicle Visibility Report?

Dealer has to access it for you.

Hi Keane and welcome to the Lincoln Forums. Not sure if any other members will feel more confident to offer an answer on this.

However, in my opinion, there is far too little information provided to give any sort of accurate answer to the "Should I buy" question.
Just for starters, there is no price provided? All options and equipment? Condition of vehicle, tires, prior vehicle history...etc. etc. etc.?

In addition, "...complementary 2 yrs maintenance..." is a vague term, and the required maintenance on a relatively new Lincoln vehicle with that mileage consists of not much more than oil changes and tire rotations.

Take a look at the Maintenance Schedule in the Owners Manual. Perhaps engine air filter and interior cabin air filter. Maybe two sets of wipers in tow years? Probably would not even need brakes, unless you put on a lot of miles in two years. And that all depends on what the "complementary maintenance plan" they offer you includes. So you should ask for that in writing.

You can download the Owners Manual here: https://www.fleet.ford.com/parts-service/resources/owner-manuals/

I am sure others will jump in with more advice, so keep us updated and good luck.

Well these vehicles can get real pricey, depending on trims and accessories. The real question you should ask yourself is if it has the options or packages that you/your family is looking for. What some1 will like, some1 else will not. For instance a lot of ppl love the air suspension, i actually opted for the standard suspension. When I was shopping I test drove a Avi BL GT the dealer had on the lot that a customer ordered but then was relocated for military reasons and no longer wanted it. It was nice, but for the amount of money we would be paying for a vehicle, I did not want to settle. So then we ordered one and built it the way (the driver that would use it the most) we wanted. Free two years maintenance is nice, but you/your family will have to drive the vehicle on a daily basis.

Hi bbf2530, thank you for your detailed and warm feedback.
I have attached detail list for your information, and the currency is CAD, Total MSRP roughly equivalent to USD62,500.

And the mileage is 60km, I feel the vehicle's condition is pretty good, tires look like brand-new.
For the "complementary 2 yrs maintenance", I didn't really check out the specific instructions, but will ask the dealer carefully later.
Btw: really appreciate it the Owners Manual link, it's very useful.

Thank you so much. I just attached the config in my previous post. After browsing the order timeline of most people here, and as you said, re-think I/My family is requirements, I feel I would like to considering Aviator in stock. Thanks a ton. and many thanks for this nice forums.

Sure no worries. Looks like the vehicle’s pretty loaded. The plus to getting this vehicle is if you need or want the vehicle sooner than later you don’t have to wait very long to get it. With only 60kms on the odometer it seems to have been test driven a few times. GL with your vehicle purchase. :)

Hi Keane. First...I apologize. I misread the "60km" in your first post as meaning 60,000 km. Oooops! Don't know why...but I did. Brain cloud on my part! Reading is fundamental! 🙃

That was why I was asking so many questions about the condition of the vehicle. I mistakenly thought it was used with 60,000km.

So if I understand correctly the Dealership is asking MSRP for that stock vehicle? If that is the case, it would seem like a good deal, at least if you were here in the US.

It is currently difficult to get a Dealer to charge MSRP for stock vehicles. Most ask above MSRP for stock vehicles, only going MSRP or below for factory orders.

Of course, you should still try to talk them down on price a bit if you can. Otherwise, if the vehicle fits your wants and needs, it seems to be a good deal.

Let us know how you make out and good luck.

Welcome to the Forum. 👋
Is this a 2022 or 2023 Aviator Reserve? I'm guess it's a 2023. The only thing missing that I ordered on my 2023 is the Illumination Package ($2,400) and 1st and 2nd row floor liners ($200). Does it have the tow package? The MRSP on my order, without the tow package is $86,495. No $70 credit for liftgate delete is shown on my order. I ordered Silver Radiance so like your Infinite Black, there is no charge for that colour.
The difference between our vehicles is $2670 before any negotiations. BTW, I lease mine.

Thank you Peter,
Yes, the one is 2023 Aviator Reserve, 201A, 2nd row bench seat, Infinite black and ebony roast interior, no any other additional options.
After check out the following window sticker, I found the code of blend is 120220714, does it mean Yr2022 July14? If so, has the vehicle been sitting a little too long?

Hi Keane. No. Just worry about the vehicle itself. Give the vehicle a thorough inspection and test drive/drives. Check the functions and features. If all is well and you like the vehicle, that is all that matters.

On a related side note and personal mini-rant;): People need to stop worrying about "Blend dates". Other than it being an administrative date sometime before the actual production date, it means nothing to the buyer.

Keep us updated and good luck.

Ok, thank you for sharing. Actually my most basic options are:
  • 2nd row bench seat
  • Ebony(black) interior
  • Equipment Group 201A
I know it's very hard to find a vehicle in stock with 2nd row bench seat, but I have to insist this option. And the dealer's one comes with brown interior, so I have to pass this one.
Well, I will keep you guys posted and thank you all.

I think your question has been answered. The blend date is explained below. After final completion, it can take several weeks for delivery to be completed.
"A blend date is the anticipated date for final assembly... or when the vehicle gets "blended" together. It is located on the top of the window sticker, which is generated roughly a week (give or take a few days) before your scheduled build week."
Good luck and enjoy the ride. (y)

Peter
