MY2023 Aviator Order Timeline Tracking thread

I do not…though I’m still only scheduled to be built next week, how did you get this?
The dealer should be able to track it through their internal system and give you an update. They get a lot more information than the general track website could offer.

2023 Lincoln Aviator Grand Touring AWD:
3.0L V6 Grand Touring Twin Turbocharged Hybrid Engine
Modular Hybrid Transmission with 10 Speed SelectShift Capability
21" Bright-Machined Aluminum Wheels with Dark Alloy Painted Pockets
Flight Blue Metallic Clearcoat
Sandstone Premium Leather Seating Surfaces
Grand Touring I 301A
Lincoln Co-Pilot360™ 1.5 Plus
Lincoln Embrace

Ordered on Sept 5, 2022.

Sept 23, we got an email confirmation our order was placed from Lincoln (yes, 18 days later).
I just saw I have a VIN and the window sticker has been generated.

Anyone have an idea how long the avg wait is once you have your VIN/window sticker?

Hi Randy. It has been mentioned here a few times that the VIN and window sticker are usually generated 7-10 days before the build date. Although the shown "Blend Date" is not an absolute, it will give you an idea of when the build occurs. I believe the blend date is also printed at the very bottom right of the 'sticker'

Lol, thanks Peter for being too kind! After posting, I quickly found my answer. Again and again!

FYI, potential movement here. Although no email, “Track My Vehicle” appears to have moved to step 3, “In Production.” Still no window sticker though. Last email was 12/20/22 indicating “scheduled to be built the week of February 20.”

Ordered a Lincoln Aviator GT on 9/01/22.
I had the same thing. I went into today to do my check and saw that it was updated as of 2/14/2023 and was now listed "In Production" Last email was that it was scheduled to be built the week of March 3rd. No window sticker. I will check tomorrow based on what you saw occur.

It’s ALIVE!

I was a little worried I’d not only wind up with A “Monday” car, but a Post-Super-Bowl-Hungover-Monday-Car. I’m assuming it was started on Monday, but she was officially “built” yesterday, 02/14/2023 on Valentines Day.

Looking through the posts, looks like it can take up to a month to ship. I’m in the Chicago burbs so hoping it doesn’t take that long unless there is a standard QC hold for a few weeks.

Ordered a BLGT on February 6 and just received a VIN and a build date of April 3. Are they setting me up for disappointment?

Not necessarily, but that does seem fast for a GT. I ordered 10/30/22. My production / blend week for a Reserve slid around a little...backwards (sooner) actually. I was originally 2/23...then 2/6...then settled on week of 2/12. Ultimately, it was "built" on 2/14.

Ordered 1 day after you and the vehicle is still in "Order Processing". Not that I mind since every month that goes by should work in my favour since that is 1 month's lease payment the dealer doesn't have to cover when negotiating the price of the 2023 Reserve. Also, I have winter tires on my current Aviator, so I may not have to switch them to the new one as time goes by. :)

The dealer told me to be prepared for 8-9 months so this seems odd. Maybe some of the production bottlenecks are subsiding?

I ordered my GT Flight Blue on May 10th 2022 and then it was in Production on Feb 3rd 2023. Tracker says it's built on Feb 13th and Shipped on Feb 14th. Waiting to see how the shipping goes.

Sorry to hear that Peter...yeah, I was wondering about your order. If our countries can coordinate shooting down UFO's, you'd think we could streamline an SUV built for you!

Seems the "forum" norm, is about 6 months. I do believe supply chain stuff is catching up, but I wouldn't set your heart on it until you get a window sticker and blend date. That seems to be when things get real.

My 12/1 order still shows it will be built week of 3/6. So the waits for "recent" orders are nothing like the waits from orders placed back in Q2 or Q3 of 2022.

Any evidence that there are just fewer orders being placed this time of year? I was hoping to get the car July/August, was okay with getting it Sept/Oct and would be thrilled to get it before summer.

If there are indeed fewer orders, I imagine it would be hard to sort out any seasonal impact from any macro-economic impact right now given all the layoffs in the news (and amongst folks I know personally).

But hey, jobs report is fine! :)

I’ve posted earlier about all my dates for a 2023 Aviator Reserve that I ordered in November, and has been stuck in Step 3 since mid January.

I now see that a Seat Belt Recall from January 5th has the potential to stop all Aviator production until the part(s) are available, which is unknown at this time. Am I interpreting this correctly?

Hi Steve. The recall letter I received said; "Ford has authorized your retailer to update the Audio Control Module (ACM) software free of charge."
This to me seems it is just a software update so I'm not sure about the "part(s) are available".

Mine was built on 2/14...and when discussing delivery, my dealer shot me a photo full of a trailer full Aviators being delivered. So I don't think deliveries are being held up.

Good to know. After two canceled dealer delivery dates, hope this isn’t a factor.

Steve

My GT ordered on 12/1 moved to "in production" today with build week of 3/10. No window sticker available yet.
