My 2019 nautilus battery keeps going dead. I took it to the garage, they “worked “ on it all day. Only thing they came up with was, was to install a new battery . That hasn’t fixed the problem. Any ideas on what’s draining the battery? Any one else having this issue?

^^Now perhaps we know why the original owner got rid of it. Have you checked into your state's Lemon Law to see if it covers CPO vehicles? Apparently some do.

Hi Peter. At least in the US, the actual "Lemon Law" only applies to first owners of new vehicles. I qualify "actual Lemon Laws" because some people throw the term "Lemon Law" around rather loosely.

By definition, unless a used vehicle is sold with a written guarantee/warranty contract which offers some sort of buyback clause, it is sold "as is" and would only be covered by any remaining Manufacturers Bumper to Bumper and/or Powertrain warranty. Again, that is in the US.

Good luck.

Because I wasn't sure, I was just going by this;
"Typically only associated with first-time new car sales, lemon laws may present a remedy to swiftly resolving an issue connected to a defective certified pre-owned vehicle. Depending on the state where a CPO vehicle is purchased, a customer may have an option to obtain a refund or replacement."

Hi Peter. I completely understand and no harm done. I was only clarifying for everyone as far as the US rules concerning the "Lemon Law".

Good luck. 🍻

I Just got off the phone with the dealership. Basically, they told me that all the testing was normal, by Lincoln protocol standards. They said I need to drive it more than 15 minutes, in order to keep the electrical system charged. I told them that I do drive it more than that. The service department manager told me that I could bring it up again, and they can put it on the draw monitor again. He told me the care needs to be driven more than every 2-3 days, in order to keep it charged. I told him that I really don't agree. I told him that a $60,000, car, bought new in 2019,, should start and not have these issues. I told him that ,what if you go on vacation and leave the car in the airport parking lot for 14 days, which we have with our other cars. This issue has been going on close to a year now. My expectation is for the car to start, so you mean to tell me that this car would be dead when we arrived back at the airport, because it hasn't been driven more than every 2-3 days? He had no answer for me. Actually, he had no answer for any of my cars issues. So I left it as I'm going to talk to my husband and figure out what our next step will be. I was thinking of call the Lincoln Company's customer service.
Hello Denise - My wife has experienced the same type issues with her 2020 Lincoln Natilus Reserve, did Lincoln ever resolve the issues on your Nautilus?

FYI, Denise was last seen here on May 5, 2021, so probably isn't following the thread any longer. Perhaps someone else will be able to add some info.

Sounds like the dealer is a little short on tech knowledge. They can clamp a meter on the positive battery cable and read the battery drain live, then just start pulling fuses one by one until a drop in drain is read on the meter, then track down that circuit to find the culprit which is probably a bad module (computer) somewhere - these cars have over hundreds of them - they even use a computer to operate your windshield wipers.
Hi Denise, I just wondered if you ever found out what the problem was. We are having the exact same problem except we have already paid the Lincoln dealer $4000.00 dollars and the exact same problem is still happening. We are extremely upset.

Welcome to the Forum. 👋
see my post #46 above.
Just curious as to what the dealer did for $4000?

We are experiencing the same issue! Purchase the car in August 2022. Brand new nautilus and have been in service 3.times for the same issues. We put in a claim and are waiting to hear back Tuesday on next steps.

Hi kay123 and welcome to the Lincoln Forums. This thread is now 3 pages long, and various "issues" have been discussed. What exactly is the issue you are experiencing (in detail)?

Post back with more information, and we may be able to offer suggestions.

Good luck.

We are experiencing the battery drained issue. First we received the sleep mode message, car was towed to the dealer and battery was checked and charged. A week later the car wouldn't start again. I got a jump start from my wife car. Car was taken to the dealer the charge the battery again no other issue. A week after that same issue this time they change to a new battery and have been running test and it happen again while it was at the service dept. We put in a claim because it's beyond frustrating. Service dept isnt helpful either, contradicting stories and the run around. Curious if anyone has but in a claim and what were their results. It is a new 2022 nautilus

I bought a 2019 Lincoln Nautilus and I am facing the same issue. I parked the car in my garage one day and overnight the battery was just dead and absolutely nothing worked. After calling the road assistance they jump started the car and I drove 30 minutes to a commercial centre. When I came back to the car and tried to start it nothing happened. The battery was completely dead again.
I called the road assistance again and let the car at the repair shop. Arrogantly they barely diagnosed the problem and I was told that the problem was the old battery. I told them that this was an impossible cause because the battery was only 2 years old. They insisted and changed the battery. I drove the lemon back home and the next day the battery was dead again. Long story short, it took the body shop 2 weeks to figure out that the amperage of the trunk door was abnormal. They reset the computer and I was told that the battery was holding charge.
Unfortunately, two months later the problem happened again. They just reset the battery I was told and again the battery is holding the charge and no energy has been drawn out.
I searched on google and there is just a complaint about dead battery. Hard to believe it.

By trunk door I'm guessing you are referring to the liftgate. Even if the amperage was abnormal, I don't understand why that would kill the battery overnight since as long as the liftgate is closed, there should not be any power going to it.

Right. I wouldn't do it if the vehicle is in my garage, but when it is sitting at the airport for 2-4 days, it could come in handy.

I'm surprised your app does not have that.
I place a solar panel on dashboard and plug it into the cig lighter and that will keep it charged if you are parked in the sun shine.

I don't see a need for that if everything is as it should be or if leaving the vehicle parked for a week or more. My Aviator sits untouched for 4 -6 days many times without any issues.
