2025 Aviator How to Activate "Embrace" Entry?

I owned a 2016 MKX that had the embrace feature and it generally workedvery well, but interestingly, it would not work if the fob was stored too close to the car when you weren't using the car, so taht the fob was constantly in communication with the car. Moving the place I kept the car fob further from the garage solved that problem. Not sure if that same issue is relevant to your Aviator, but thought that I would pass it along for what it may or many not be worth.
Best,
Mark

Thanks for the tip, but that isn't the issue. This problem affects many of the new 2025 Aviators and engineering is working on a solution. They sent out a Special Services Message to the dealers but that didn't fix the issue on mine.

I just purchased a 2025 Aviator and have the same issue with the approach lighting. I have a service appointment later this month and will let you know if it's resolved.

Thank you. I'd appreciate that. As I mentioned in another post, the techs carried out SSM53244 but that didn't fix the issue.

I spoke with Lincoln Canada today and was told there is a new directive out for the Embrace feature fix. SSM-53351. I have an appointment this Friday to have that done.
Will see if that addresses the issue.🤞

Hi Peter. Not sure by your post (sorry if I missed something).

It may be a new vehicle glitch you are experiencing, but have you checked to be sure that the Lincoln Embrace lighting is enabled in the vehicle settings?

If it is, and the Lincoln Embrace lighting is still not working, with the key fob at least, then a Service Department visit will be necessary (unfortunately). In this way, they will be aware of the issue, fix it if possible, and/or have Lincoln/Ford get moving on a fix.

Keep us updated and good luck. 🍻
I have a new 2025 Aviator and have issues both with the Embrace lighting and the dynamic suspension not working properly. Went to the dealer yesterday to get me plates and had the salesman again check all of the settings and they were all set correctly. He also said possibly a software issue and committed to digging into this for me. I would think based on the months long comments on this thread about the same problem, Ford/Lincoln should have been aware and a fix implemented!! I will.post an update when I get it!!

They are definitely aware of the Embrace issue. Unfortunately, my appointment today to have the latest SSM performed was moved to the 19th so I am unable to say if that fixed the Embrace lighting. The last SSM did not correct it.

FIXED
I'm happy to report that my Embrace/Approach Lighting is now working. The issue was resolved after the dealer tech implemented SSM-53351.

The latest issue with my 2025 Lincoln Aviator is that the car intermittently fails to start. The dealer suspects the battery is draining, which is also causing the Embrace/approach light feature to malfunction. I’ve taken it in for service multiple times, with the car staying at the dealership for weeks. Each time, they claimed to have fixed the issue. When I got the car back, the Embrace light worked temporarily, but the battery drained again. I returned it two more times, yet the battery drainage problems persist. On one occasion, the car shut off at a stoplight and wouldn’t restart for 20 to 30 minutes. I’m convinced this is a battery-related issue or a combination with battery and software update.
