- 2024 Navigator Reserve L
I have no idea why the dealers told you that flat spots can be worked out, but that is absolutely not the case. Once tires develop them, they are there permanently. The only option is the replace the tires. I verified that with tire shops outside of Lincoln, and even my Lincoln SA told me that if flat spots are present the tires have to be replaced. My particular vehicle apparently sat for 4 months at the railyard, and another 4 months on the lot. So Lincoln was willing and able to replace my tires asap. While the tire replacement did reduce the vibrations significantly on my car, they are still present and felt on the highway with the new tires.Kudos to OP for opening this post and to KenKei for the experience details. I purchased new 9/2024 and car had issue since new but they told me to put 200+ miles on it to see if flatspots worked themselves out. To make an extremely long story short the vehicle has been to 2 dealers 3 times (including at this moment I write this) as well as two outside shops and Lincoln Service is stating they are aware of the issue but dont have a resolution and to come pick up my car. Also did not fix the 2 seat issues and non working USB in the 3rd row- I told them I need to speak to the GM before returning the loaner.
Where I am at now is trying to get them to put on a set of wheels rims from another vehicle that is confirmed to not have this issue. I dont want to do a buyback or lemon law it if the rims/tires just need to be replaced but at this point Lincoln service department is consistently horrible with general communication, followup, and il go as far as to say honesty.
This is the only post I found that really taps into this issue some people seem to have but is not nationalized yet. Kenkei please definetly let us know what the outcome was with your meeting with the field engineer as ill be sure to discuss it with my case here in NJ- Also happy to get on your attorneys list as a complainant. I have an entire log detailing the horrible experience with lincoln and if enough people are interested I will post it on here.
I will say my experience with the staff at my local Lincoln has been great, but ultimately I want this fixed and cannot just leave my car with them for days/weeks on end to figure this out.
