2024 Hybrid Nautilus (Engine Problems)

Did they tell you it was due to the injector tip failure? Scoring in cylinder wall or bent rod due to hydro lock? Smell fuel at all when it died? They at least give you a service report?
Yes, I was told it was due to the injector failure. The person I spoke to had no other answers or additional information. I did not hear or smell anything when it quit. Just the message telling me to "stop safely now".

Update on my 2024 Nautilus Hybrid. I received a call from Lincoln Concierge yesterday and was informed that the engine is being replaced. No timeline for this, other than "most" of the parts should be available by end of May. I was also told there is no delivery date yet for "some" of the parts. I live in NJ. I went on the NJ website, and it appears that a vehicle is not eligible for lemon law unless it has 3 repair attempts for the same issue that are not resolved. Any input would be appreciated. I'm thinking of asking Lincoln to buy me out, but not sure how to approach that.

Hi jsp0919. Lemon Law regulations vary by state. Lemon Law in N.J. is 3 repair attempts for the same issue or 30 days out of service.
Once you are at that 30 day limit, you can use the Lemon Law.

If you decide you don’t want to keep this vehicle, it would likely be a quicker and smoother process if you can negotiate a buyout with Lincoln. Just be sure to avoid mentioning the “Lemon Law” until negotiations for a buyout fail completely. Throwing around the Lemon Law often has the effect of shutting down chances of a manufacturer buyout and other avenues of help.

Keep us updated and good luck.

According to my dealer they have the injectors but not the other parts needed to do the replacement. They declined to give me any estimate and do not have an ordered que of vehicles to replace the injectors.
Guess I will just have to check back with them regularly …

As I posted in other thread, dealer called today and said he had parts in
and did the work today!!!! Back home. Traffic was chaotic due holiday period and a little rain. Got see the rain sensitive wipers in action.

So I heard back right about the June 3rd date before this post. I am on the list, so we'll see how this goes. Thank you.
June 3 is the general ordering window, but seed parts, covering known sold ones, should have already gone out - multiple people have been reporting today about getting the update done.

My dealer called and said if I will buy one of the cars in his inventory that he can get it fixed in a week or less. But that he can't get parts on an unsold car.

He has two cars in a color combo I like that are on ships in-transit from China. They are scheduled to be here June 17th but that's subject to change. The VINs for these two in-transit cars do not show any CSP items, they are fully clear.

Something tells me getting one from a new shipment without any CSP is better than buying an in-stock car now that will then be fixed a week later.

I suspect the salesman is just trying to make his month-end for May.

Hybrid Update: I finally have the Nautilus back in my possession after the engine issue popped up on delivery day. They replaced spark plugs, scoped the cylinders, replaced the injectors (C class) and related parts after removing intake etc, cleaned out excess gas in exhaust system and the final thing replaced the battery. I’m not sure I trust it just yet and will take a few weeks of local driving. I took possession May 3 with 14 kms on it. Today it’s got 72 kms. Almost broken… in!
Tim.

Just wait for new this is what I have done.

If the in stock have a later build date (like January) and it has what you want, I would consider the in stock and maybe can give you a better deal (in stock, end of month). I had my injectors replaced and do not feel the vehicle has been violated at this point.

Hello,

anyone know if the Canadian dealers have started receiving the replacement parts.
They must be available in Canada as the injectors in my Hybrid were changed a couple weeks ago. Whether the seeding of parts has happened up here is doubtful though.
Tim.

Question: If you check your VIN now on the Recall VIN search website does it show that the CSP is no longer on the list for that VIN?
I think it depends on the dealer. It took two weeks for the 24B09 CSP to fall off my list once it was done.

Just to be sure everyone is on the same page... so to speak. There is another big thread on this here with 450 posts 7 times the number in this thread and lots more info.

Here's a link in case you haven't see it.

Thanks for your response. I'm scheduled to have a call with Lincoln Concierge on Friday.

Has anyone been able to negotiate a buyback, or is it too soon for that to have happened?
Multiple people have done buybacks.

I can tell you that Lincoln RAV will make you whole. My 2021 Corsair is currently under RAV. I'm just waiting on my Nautilus to complete the transaction. The RAV offer pretty much gives me back every cent I put into the vehicle including taxes, interest on the loan and any add-ons that I made that were vehicle specific.

I wish you the best!
What is RAV?

My dealer told me this morning they have the injectors in, but are out of the needed clips, which are being provided as seed stock. BUT…I should be assured they have me at the top of their list to contact once the parts are available.
