2024 Hybrid Nautilus (Engine Problems)

Did you ever solve your vibration issue? I took an 11 hour drive yesterday and experienced vibration throughout the cabin, prominent in the passenger seat. I’ve had the tires balanced a few times, but I suspect they may be bad.
Make sure they are performing a road force balance. The balance machine actually applies a radial load on the tire while spinning to simulate the weight of the vehicle.

I did, yes, I requested the print out from the dealership also, they said they couldn’t print it. Would love to have seen the information myself to understand the road force #’s.

Mine is in for the 4th time for excessive vibration, especially evident in the passenger seat. The vibrations have now created a symphony of creaks and rattles.
What has the dealer said? Can they reproduce?

So far nothing has been accomplished. I even took the car to an independent tire shop to have the tires balances and aligned, but they reported that all was well within tolerances. So at this point we have no idea. It's in now for the 4th time in as many months.

Has anyone inspected the suspension?

Came here to report that all is good now regarding my Nautilus.... the following was done and 24 hours in, I can report NO vibrations, NO rattles, NO grunting brakes, and NO thumping from the rear:

- Passenger front seat was found to not be properly bolted in and was missing insulation. Fixed. No more vibration of seat and headrest as speed and no more rattle from the seat.

- Removed A-pillar and C-pillar trim to add foam tape/insulation. No more rattle from dash/door seam.

- Replaced rear shocks. No more "thumping" sound from rear.

- Replaced front brake rotors. No more grunt when applying brakes.

Overall, the vehicle is tomb-like quiet and has a much more controlled feel, especially over rough surfaces (which we have a LOT of).

Aside from the software issues we all know about (which I have to think would be easily fixed), the vehicle feels like what a new $70K Lincoln should feel like. For now.

I would not be surprised if the seat issue was caused when they removed the seat to fix an issue sometime during the build and messed it up then since it is pretty unique.

The hybrid battery is under the front passenger side. There may be a battery related service part under the passenger seat. Either a disconnect or control module that is accessed during transport or when there is an issue.

The disconnect is under the hood, but I get what you're saying.

Interesting. This scenario never occurred to me. The service dept just said "clips/bolts and insulation in the area was missing".
I had the vehicle in three previous times for the seat vibration and I always thought they were heading down the wrong path -- first tires/balance/inflation, then seat construction itself, and finally, telling me I was basically nuts. I kept telling them that the REST of the vehicle didn't vibrate, so maybe someone finally took some initiative.

That is the high voltage system disconnect for the powertrain. There are fuses and other connections on the battery itself. there are also cooling systems and such on/around it. I don't know if any pass through the floor but its possible.

You mean initiative like driving it long enough to experience it?

Brand new 2024 Lincoln Nautilus Black Label owner and on my drive home from the dealer Friday evening my CEL and Engine Misfire Servicing warning popped up. Talk about a buzz kill!! I immediately called my salesman who was off yesterday but he passed on the issue to one of the Techs. I am leaving today for 3 days of busuness travel but they will pick up from the airport to work on while I am gone. I am so disappointed and thinking about demanding my truck trade in back at this point!! Talk me off the ledge please.... 🙄

Hi thetfunk and welcome to the Lincoln forums. Sorry to hear about the issue with your new Nautilus.

My opinion/advice would be to give the Dealership time to diagnose the underlying cause. Then drive it and see if it is corrected.

Once they’ve had time to work on your vehicle, you can make an informed decision as to what to do.

I’m sure others will jump in with more advice and opinions, so keep us updated and good luck.

I'm curious as to what the CEL was flagging. It could have been something as simple as a tech forgetting to connect something after the PDI. Wait and see what they say.
