2024 Hybrid Nautilus (Engine Problems)

Curious what you ended up purchasing if you don't mind sharing? I am on day 45 and I feel like they have reached their end replacing parts (injectors, spark plugs, fuel pump, fuel rail, etc).
My Black Label Case Manager resubmitted my 2nd Fair Value Assessment or whatever it is called, so we shall see. I already have my lawyer on standby so I hope this nightmare comes to an end this coming week!! I was so committed to the Nautilus and I did enjoy the 1 whole day of experiencing the sweet ride, but this entire experience has really messed me up!! Sorry for venting.

Tony
I purchased a 2024 Nautilus Reserve III hybrid. I’m sorry you’re having to deal with this… It sounds like there are a lot of issues with this model for sure. I think the problem is they released it before it was ready. I absolutely loved it but now I just don’t trust it at all.

I don't think there is a rush. We had our hybrid Nautilus in service for screen and tailgate computer issues and the advisor nonchalantly said there is a recall and they replaced the injectors while it was there. He said that it had something to do with some Nautilus batches sitting at the port overseas and rusting or some mumbo jumbo.

I recalled reading these cars had some type of issues which is why I'm back on this forum reviewing these threads.

So an update, I thought the fuel injector replacement was a preventive measure to abate the potential engine issue. We went on a small trip and the check engine icon illuminated, I didn't think much as we had it just in for service. However the icon started blinking intermittently. When we got back to our city we took it in, thinking it was something minor. Unfortunately no, we're going to need an entire new engine do to the cylinders messing up. There was no other indication of this besides perhaps the smallest bit of shanking on the way home which could have been just in my mind, Has this happened to anyone else? I'm not sure if I want a car that is having the entire engine replaced after less than 5 months.

If an injector tip breaks off it can damage the engine where it needs a new engine. This has happened on hybrids with the bad injectors at a much higher than normal rate and the injector replacement program was to update all the suspect hybrids.

My injectors were replaced while in service for an unrelated matter two months ago. I had the engine issue just a few days ago.

Sadly, You are not the only one that has had an injector failure after the replacement with "good" (supposed to be C suffix) injectors. I wonder if there are other factors that can affect the injectors (installation, fuel, etc).

I'd be curious as to whether all dealers have purged old, known-defect-potential, injectors.

Hopefully they have...

Mine is now in the shop for the third time with the same problem with the injectors. It has been there a week and I haven’t even got a diagnosis code yet because they are so confused on what to do. I am also having my second good faith review started. I think that is a joke to be honest with you, but I’m gonna give them a chance to make it right. The GM at the dealership I purchased it from has sent all the information into someone because mine should be easy since it’s a lease. Their goal is just to terminate my lease so I can walk away. I told them unfortunately I just don’t think I want another one because so many people are having issues. It seems to only be the hybrid from what I can tell.

I have finally received my repurchase offer from Ford/Lincoln almost 60 days after driving off the lot of the Lincoln Dealer that I will never do business with again. The final diagnosis was to replace the engine but no thank you. The buy back seems to be somewhat fair except that they will not cover the $3000 of aftermarket options that came with the Black Label package. This just seems unfair to me since they are the ones that sold this package to me and since the car failed the very next day I never even got to enjoy them. Has anyone else on here experienced this BS?

I finally got approved for my buyback, but I’m waiting on their offer now. I did not buy the black label, but mine is the reserve ll. I did a lease so mine should be pretty simple I would think. I’m supposed to have something from them by tomorrow.

When you say aftermarket packages, are you referring to the options the dealer installed? If so, what are those options? Is Lincoln giving you compensation for the vehicle as delivered from the factory to the dealer? Did the dealer "Tack On" 3k worth of aftermarket options?

I don't even know but I plan on asking.....they just list them as additional items. I only had the car for 24 hours and it had to of been part of the Black Label package that I purchased. I have gone through all of my documentation and there is no break down of these additional items.

OK, you need to figure out what these items are as you note! You have your window sticker and your sales receipt. Look at the window sticker, what is the TOTAL MSRP tally as typed in by the manufacturer? Look below the MSRP line, did the dealer add additional costs to this total? Did they add another paper to this document? Where do you see the additional 3k worth of accessories? Is it on your window sticker, or added onto your sales receipt?
The window sticker will identify your vehicle as a BL model, and will list the standard features within. It does not break down what is exclusively BL, but in various places shows the vehicle as a BL model.
My guess is that the dealer added on 3k worth of stuff, like paint sealer or theft ID etching or pinstriping....can be anything! If this is the case, I would venture to say Lincoln Corporate may not reimburse you for those items, the dealer would have to.

Aftermarket may be 1) ceramic coatings, 2) seat protection stuff. 3) dealer sold extended protections (tires, dent, windshield), and other gimmicks the dealer tack on to drive up price.

I haven’t read all 35 pages of this thread, but you can add my 2024 Lincoln Nautilus Hybrid to the list of vehicles with engine replacements due to faulty injectors. I bought mine in July, it failed November 9th. I just got it back from service yesterday, January 8th.

Can you provide information as to whether you had 24B23 applied before the failure, and whether it was the fuel injector or some other failure?

FYI, my dealer claims they provided a chemical protectant on both the paint and interior (essentially the Appearance Protection Plus package) at PDI even though I did not request it or pay for it. Perhaps it's one of those things they apply to every vehicle anyway and charge for it, but because I was X-plan they couldn't force me to pay for it?

My dealer tried to sell me that ceramic paint protection and interior protection for $995. I told them I didn't want it. He went back to his sales manager to tell him that and he came back saying that the manager said it was required. I told him wasn't going to happen and I would leave. Of course they backed down. I also used the X plan.

Negligence on the part of your dealer, IMO. You should not have been allowed to drive off their lot with injectors from the faulty batch.
