I'm about to tell my dealer that I'm waiting til April Max and then after that if my Nautilus doesn't come I am cancelling it and I will go get the Audi RS Q8. I waited for this thing long enough I was expecting to have it by January February because that's what the dealer said when I placed the order.

I canceled mine and bought a Black Label off the lot. So many delays I didn't want to deal with it any longer. Plenty on the lot if you are willing to travel some.

If you want the non hybrid ICE version, you mean. None of the hybrids have made it to the lots that I know of.

There is a ICE version of my color combo at my dealer. I just texted to get an appointment to see it in person.

Driving home I got 30.6 mpg with the ice engine that is not even broken in. In my state when you renew your plates they tack on 100 dollars to your renewal for hybrids. In 2028 that increases 3% per year. If I was getting 50 mpg it may be worth it. I will drive this maybe 6,000 miles per year. I just didn't see the benefit for me. Also the gas is tried, tested and improved. That was my justification for this decision. I am sure that's not the case for everyone but it is something to think about.

I already checked those out. But the problem was they didn't have the combo I wanted. And if they did then it was still in transit. I am honestly just considering going and buying a like a temporary Mercedes or something until the Nautilus comes or cancel and go for the Audi. I am debating. I was talking to my brother this morning and he told me to get the EQS Maybach instead of the Nautilus he told me he got one and it is like a spaceship. I am going to go and check it out tonight.

Well my car is due to the dealer today, so we will find out shortly how accurate the information was that they gave me. The latest I was told two days ago was that it was somewhere within the area. So we’ll see.

And just like that I checked order tracking and it had another date change to 2/16. It may have landed at the dealer.

Some states have fees for EV only and some like Florida have loopholes at least for small battery hybrids. The thing is the gas tax is independent of the price of fuel. So the registration fee every 3-5 years is still better than paying the fluctuations in oil prices regardless of the gas tax. If the difference was even just 2mpg and gas was a steady $3 you save $60 in 10k miles with the hybrid with the more powerful engine and better transmission. Offsetting the registration charge in just 1 year.

Oh I was just asking about the gas milage. If the gas got 30 then would hybrid get more is what I was asking.

Ahh ok. I’m sure the hybrid owners will see greater than EPA target.

What do you mean?

I won't drive it enough to see a big savings plus an extra 100 dollars added to the registration cost because gas tax offset. Epa is 29 highway gas and hybrid is 30 highway. I live in the country so no city driving to speak of.

I just talked to my sales manager and he looked at vinview and told me what was happening was the railcars went up to Tacoma then came back to Portland. He said the eta to Florida is now 3/8-3/17 because this stupidity.
