2024 delivery schedule

Their state is offsetting the losses in gas tax income with a registration fee for EV and hybrids. Some states have fees for EV only and some like Florida have loopholes at least for small battery hybrids. The thing is the gas tax is independent of the price of fuel. So the registration fee every 3-5 years is still better than paying the fluctuations in oil prices regardless of the gas tax. If the difference was even just 2mpg and gas was a steady $3 you save $60 in 10k miles with the hybrid with the more powerful engine and better transmission. Offsetting the registration charge in just 1 year.
It looks like some states like FL credit the cost of the hybrid, see attached window sticker.

I just talked to my sales manager and he looked at vinview and told me what was happening was the railcars went up to Tacoma then came back to Portland. He said the eta to Florida is now 3/8-3/17 because this stupidity.
So for no good reason, your vehicle has visited Tacoma twice now. 🙃

The Countess was initially expected to arrive in Portland today, but still sits anchored in San Francisco Bay as it has for the last four days. Also, she no longer appears on the arrival schedule for Portland. I still think she'll get there, but who knows when?
Ok, I must say my patience isn’t stellar at this point, but should I start to worry the ship is having issue, mechanical or otherwise? This is the 5th day there, no log of going to Portland, and a tug boat was next to the ship for at least 3-4 hours yesterday but it never moved. 😭 At this point I think it may have been faster to have been on any of the vessels that left after mine.

There was a discussion about this in some thread somewhere. The 'Smile States' are the southern states that wrap around from California to South Carolina at least. This discount is independent of whether it's a hybrid. I personally believe it's being offered because Lincoln does not sell well in the south.

CA is the same, I went back and forth on hybrid or gas and was very happy I went with hybrid when I found out it didn’t cost anymore.

Maybe yours as well maybe by the track?
I don't think so. It was reported to be at Sprague, WA, which would put it here along my expected route.1000006154.png

Although, my window sticker has CHTB as the ramp code. I hope that doesn't mean it'll route through Chicago. 😒

The countess is finally on her way but it says it’s going to Tacoma… is it possible they change the port? Or is it possible there may be another vessel out there that would match these dates? I’m at a bit of a loss now on how to track this.

I got the railcar info too on a separate email. I tried the CSX line for location and it said it was in Birmingham, AL as of 1/10. I tried the Norfolk Southern line and it said it was in Utah as of 12/15. Maybe these are showing the last place it was when they had possession of it?

BNSF requires an account to use their tracking tools. I could pay for access to the feed through a third party, but it's not worth the fees they charge.
Fyi, I tried the Union Pacific shipment trace line today, and at least got the most current information of the three I've tried. It said the railcar was delivered empty to the hub in Portland, Oregon on 2/14 — the day my vehicle was loaded.

I'm assuming BNSF trace is the only way to get current railcar information (besides VINView). I saw one guy that would trace your railcar if you Venmo'd him something. 😒 If anyone figures out how to do is for free, you'll get a gold ⭐.

Portland already had two vessels scheduled for Monday and Wednesday. I'm guessing Countess changed it's schedule around to deliver vehicles in Tacoma first, much like Glovis Chorus did — although I think it did that for the ice and cold.

We'll see, but I believe that it'll make it to Portland, just not as soon as you'd like.

As far as why it was anchored for so long…no clue. But a wild guess would be that the crew is allowed so many days off-ship every so often. San Francisco isn't a bad spot to chill.

Ok, thanks for explaination - for sure none of this is as quickly as I’d like. 😂 I did buffer in an extra month but not 2-3 extra, which is what this will likely be once all is said and done. I didn’t realize they would pass a port and then come back, fingers crossed my car is on land soon, the later it is the further back I am in line for the rail car too. I’d like to move to the next step. As always, appreciate the insight.

Spoke to dealer today (Canadian order) and they told me my car was in Vancouver BC on Feb.13th. Just some info for those who ordered from Canada. I am based in Ontario so hoping it will arrive soon.

Last week my dealer called and said my car was loaded onto the vessel and should leave the port in a couple days. It has been like 3-4 days and my Lincoln page still hasn't updated, and the window sticker isn't avalaible. I'm confused to what this kid was talking about.

The window stickers on the Lincoln site don’t seem to be populated for most, you can get it from this link. Copy and paste into a browser, and then enter your VIN # after the = sign, if you have a window sticker available it will populate. https://www.windowsticker.forddirect.com/windowsticker.pdf?vin=

Mine updated yesterday. Not sure what updated, just changed to 2-17, everything on the pages looks exactly the same

Driving home I got 30.6 mpg with the ice engine that is not even broken in. In my state when you renew your plates they tack on 100 dollars to your renewal for hybrids. In 2028 that increases 3% per year. If I was getting 50 mpg it may be worth it. I will drive this maybe 6,000 miles per year. I just didn't see the benefit for me. Also the gas is tried, tested and improved. That was my justification for this decision. I am sure that's not the case for everyone but it is something to think about.
I hear you. I wanted the extra power/torque. The mpg wasn’t a factor in my decision. Florida doesn’t have a tax/registration fee for non plug in hybrids, at least not that I’m aware of. There is a proposal to charge EV owners $200 a year and PHEV owners $50 which will increase in a few years. But non PHEVs escape I think.

I went to dealer yesterday (SAT) and got a vinview. I honestly didn’t think to zoom around Portland because current location was around Kansas City.

Were you able to get a VIN on your Nautilus? Seems I’m not able to get any info on the status of my order until I get a VIN
There IS no order status until the order is scheduled for production. That's literally the first step. Before then, it's simply an order submittal. When it's scheduled, a VIN will be assigned, you should get an email, and you will be able to track the major steps of your order via the Vehicle Order Status link which was provided.
