2024 delivery schedule

I'm glad the other threads are offering us some light discussion about pricing and features and whatnot. Meanwhile, this thread is being held motionless by a big freakin' anchor.

Hahaha, I'd love to spend more time in this thread but mine hasn't been built yet so I have nothing to be DELIVERED yet.

I'm busy trying to get X Plan worked out still so I can pay for it some day.

You know, that could be why the GC diverted from Portland in the first place last Friday and headed up to Tacoma for the weekend. We thought it was just congestion.
I hope I'm wrong because they also don't work on Saturday or Sunday. So if it is an employee work schedule issue it wont be till Monday. The Aegean Highway is also due on Monday.

For what it's worth, vehicle carrier Lake Geneva docked at berth 601 for about 16 hours on 1/6 (Saturday).

The Chinese work force knows how to get it done. They are going to flood the ports and tie up the ships bogging everything down.

I would be happier if they put the GC at Terminal 6 and offload it whenever they open vice stay anchored out and risk being skipped.
They need the port tug and mooring crews to assist in docking. The ships have a surprisingly small number of crew on board.

He’s been waiting on the boat since he’s a kid lol

Yes, I’m finding it difficult to believe they don’t offload ships 3 days a week. But I’m also in disbelief they’ve left the berth unoccupied so long.

I don’t think it works like that. There are schedules and I don’t think a ship can just be skipped.

This is usually required by the ports no matter how many people they have on board (which based on documentaries I watched is about 21). They need a pilot and tugs.

Speaking of, I looked back at the berth history going back to January 1. Jiuyang Blossom, Lake Geneva, and Helios Ray. That's it. That's all the activity they've had at 601.

Activity there is an exception, not the norm. Perhaps they have to round up enough sober blokes at the pubs to manage the docking and unloading? They can be hard to find sometimes.

Excuse me — Hellion Ray. I vowed to always refer to this ship by this name.

Maybe we should request the berth on behalf of the Glovis Chorus. 😂

Maybe they have a back log waiting to get on rail cars so they need to make room.
Which is also incredible given the few ships that have docked there and how few cars they unloaded. Tacoma was getting Ro-Ros in and out in something like 8 hours.
