2022 Navigator

Ugh. What a pain in the but. Are you to the point you’re considering compromising and not getting monochromatic or a different interior color?
I have light interior now and it's a nightmare with two little kids and two dogs so black is the only option I'm willing to go for. My husband feels the monochromatic package is the dealbreaker for him.

I have kids and find the dark interiors show dirt more. But you know what works for you! It’s so frustrating to wait with no end in sight and I hope it shows up soon.

There is a Navigator L Reserve - white with sandstone sitting on the lot at the dealer I ordered from if anyone is interested. I thought for sure it was a special order but the dealer told me it’s for sale.

Guessing it is fairly standard.

"Option One: Repurchase

· Lincoln Motor Company [LMC] will pay off your current lienholder after the vehicle is surrendered.

· You will be reimbursed for any down payments and payments minus finance charges, if applicable to your state’s lemon law, minus usage, negative equity, late fees, aftermarket contracts, items, or accessories (if they don’t fall within the refund).

· Any payments made on the vehicle that are not included in the Repurchase figures will be refunded once the buyback is complete.

· You will remain responsible for any loan payments until the buyback is complete.

· If you choose to accept the Repurchase Option, a private offer will be provided to you which will allow for a discount on a new Lincoln vehicle, if you choose to purchase another. At the present time, the discount certificate is $2,500. This discount certificate may not be compatible with any or all offers presented to you from the dealership.

Option Two: Replacement

· Lincoln Motor Company [LMC] will pay off your current lienholder after the vehicle is surrendered.

· You will pick out a new Lincoln vehicle.
(It does not have to be the same model, however it does need to be a new vehicle)

· You will remain responsible for the current loan balance, usage, and upgrade charges.

· If your vehicle is New, the upgrade cost would be the difference between the MSRP of your current vehicle and the new vehicle.

· If your vehicle is Pre-Owned, the upgrade cost would be the difference between the base price of your current vehicle and the memo invoice of the new vehicle.

Option Three: Substitution of Collateral

· This option is only available if your lender supports this type of transaction.

· You will pick out a comparably equipped vehicle the same make and model of your vehicle.

· You will keep your current loan and everything regarding your loan will remain the same. Same payments, same due date, same everything.

· You will be responsible for any usage, upgrade charges, and other out-of-pocket amounts. These amount will be paid at the time of surrender in certified funds.

· There is no payoff associated with a substitution."
Thanks for this

The 23 order guide is coming out next week. With the first 23 production being 9/12, they are doing a big production run in August to help clear out the 22 orders. It appears I'm in that big run but I'm not holding my breath at this point.
I'm in the same position, well worse: Ford cancelled my order after 6 months and is saying they can't make a White BL L, though I've gotten slightly different versions of this story so I'm going to try one more time next week and see what they say.

Also, as I understand, the 2023 dates have been pushed to August, and the 2022s will be made into November 2022:

  • 03/04/2022 - 2022MY Fleet Final Order Due Date
  • 09/01/2022 - 2022MY Last Day to Spec Change
  • 11/13/2022 - 2022MY Job Last Date

  • 08/15/2022 - 2023MY Order Bank Open Date
  • 09/22/2022 - 2023MY Scheduling Begins
  • 11/14/2022 - 2023MY Job #1 Date

woah! That's wild.

How is it that I can track a 5 dollar item I ordered off of any big retailer telling me when my package will arrive after it has been shipped, but Lincoln cant tell me where my 100k item is? I am sure they know as it would be strange if they didnt know exactly where it was at all times

The current one I've just heard is that the 2nd row massage is now holding things up. (Ordered Jan 11 22- currently still unscheduled/clean [BL Chroma Caviar/Inspiration/2nd row massage w/console). The dealer wants me to delete the 2nd row and get a build date soon- or risk being a 2023. I'm not sure what will be closer to 100% navigator, one this summer, or one next MY (with who knows how many options deleted).

Really? Hmmm. Was yours just a one time thing?

They found no codes. Reset that system and made sure all the wiring was plugged in tight. I, unfortunately, don't have a lot of confidence it won't happen again sometime.
Just happened to me today. Did they make you take it in or were they able to do it online? See there is a recall for a software issue on the trailer tow electric brake too.

I was parked right next to what looked like a new Escalade today. Same color, white, as my 2022. I don't care if Cadillac could make an Escalade and deliver it to me a week after ordering. They are ugly. I would wait for the Navigator.

Not bad coming from caranddriver, whose notorious for dissing ford vehicles. It was def skewed in the escalades favor if you see the scores.
Exactly, 3rd place because they gave it a 1 out of 5 on towing because that unit did not have the tow package..... Hard to watch them give the wagoneer 2nd, not surprising to see the GM buy themselves a 1st... haha. I don't race my nav but it is nice that you can throw it in 'excite' and flatten the body roll on a 270 degree on ramp. : ) The gm would just about hit you with its overactive stability control on said ramp. I think in all fairness the nav and escalade are somewhere between a tie and 2 points apart either way and it comes down to taste buds, which mine tell me the nav is a more timeless and regal looking piece of jewelry.

The seatbelt alert is driving me bonkers. I have to dismiss it even after I’ve put my seatbelt on! Anyone else? How do I get rid of it? Did not have this on my 2019, I just the little red flashing seatbelt guy.

Hi georgiagirl. The seatbelt warning chime should turn off once you (and any front seat passenger) buckle the belt/belts. If it is still sounding after you buckle your belt/belts, then there is a problem which needs to be diagnosed and corrected.

Or...is the problem that you are you driving with the belt unbuckled? If yes, then the seatbelt chime will sound intermittently, as long as the belt is buckled, unless you disable it by following the instructions in your Owners Manual. To do so, you will need to check your Owners Manual for the specific instructions for your vehicle.

If your 2019 did not sound the seatbelt warning chime while driving with an unbuckled seatbelt, then someone disabled the warning chime at some point, since Lincoln/Ford vehicles come from the factory with the seatbelt warning chime enabled.

Let us know how you make out and good luck.

I think she is referring to the visual graphic showing the seating positions with green check marks. That will only go away if you press OK or wait about a minute.

Hi BL. Could be. I thought she was referring to the seatbelt warning chime, but you very well may be correct. Or probably are. :geek:

I guess we will find out. 😉

Good luck. 🍻

Yep. BL is right. The chime doesn’t bother me, it’s the freaking box that still remains on the console even when I’ve already buckled. 🥴

I just called Lincoln Concierge to report the issue with the running boards from time to time reverting to "OFF" without me changing that setting. She said she will pass that along.

Now, the issue is that at some point she asked me if this has happened SINCE I updated my 2022 Nav to Sync 4. Initially, I thought she was just asking if my system had been updated since I bought it and then the running boards were doing this. No, she thought I had updated my system from Sync 3 to Sync 4. When I explained to her that you cannot do that, she said oh really? <Face palm emoji here>

Then, she went on to mention the whole 3G modem thing. I think she honestly doesn't get what Sync is.

I guess the Concierge is having staffing issues like everyone else and she must have been new.
