2022 Navigator

I received two emails yesterday. First one said my car had been built and then a couple hours later, second email said that it had been shipped. Expected delivery week of June 17th. A friend has expected delivery June 10 but just received and email pushing it to July 28-Aug 3rd. Her email said “to ensure complete satisfaction, we will require additional time before your vehicle is delivered”. So weird. It’s already labeled as built.
My vehicle has shipped and is currently in Memphis waiting for delivery to Arkansas. I’ve been told there is back log of transport in Memphis. I am told it will arrive to me between June 21-28. Can’t wait!!

Talk to the dealer and my vehicle is arriving on lot today or tomorrow. I got the shipped email from Lincoln on 5/23 so just over a week from factory to dealership (hopefully). I’ll update pictures once I take delivery.

I would like to get everyone’s opinion on the protective film wrap. Is it worth it? Dealership said $1800 for the hood and front end or $3600 to include the doors. ($7k for the entire car).
Depends on if you know some good aftermarket places near you. The dealer is always marked up like crazy when it comes to this and they usually are not the ones actually doing the work, they send it to an aftermarket shop they have an agreement with and no they will not tell you which shop.

Example, I asked West Side here in Houston about some 24in wheels they told me $3500 wheels and tires, I found the exact wheels and tires at Discount Tire for $1800.

You can shop around for a good place that stands behind their work and save some $$, but we all know too cheap is too good to be true.

My ‘22 arrived by rail to Atlanta yesterday, just waiting on delivery to Atlanta dealership. Ordered Jan 21st. Reserve L, with second row center console and massage seats.
How did you know it arrived?

My dealership told me today that I’m now bumped to 8/1 build week. That puts me at 10 months after I ordered just to start the build- and that’s IF I’m not bumped out again. Getting extremely tempted to go get a different vehicle. This is ridiculous.

Have checked the Cars.com app for Navigators in your region? There are dealers that have them for sale.

My Navigator arrived at the dealership today, late afternoon. We took care of all the paperwork tonight and one of the sales guys is delivering the vehicle to me tomorrow. Any questions I should ask? I feel like I know all about the car as I’ve been reading and watching reviews for a few months.

Hi Tcrowe. Yes, the pandemic shortage induced waits are crazy nowadays. And I wish it was still 6-8 week order waits like in the old days.

However, just to keep things in some semblance of context: Although the Order Bank for the 2022 Navigator opened on 10/15/21, actual production of the 2022 Navigator did not begin until 1/18/22. So while many, like you, have been waiting a long time since they ordered, they have only been building the 2022's for less than 5 months.
Yes, still too long of a wait in an ideal world. But we are not living in an ideal world at the moment. Or in reality, ever...;)

Also, keep in mind these waits are the same for all manufacturers factory orders. If you are lucky, you may be able to find what you want on a Lincoln or other manufacturers Dealer lot and avoid the wait. But in most cases, you will also get raked over the coals on price.

Hope you get your Navigator as soon as possible and good luck.

I totally understand the world we are in and nothing is as it once was. That being said, 22s are on the lot, I’m priority code 2, and I ordered almost as soon as order banks opened. I don’t have rear seat entertainment or rear seat massage- I know both of those features were causing delays.

They started producing in January 2022 and after four bumps, I’m now scheduled for build eight months after production began. Not only do I want the vehicle but I actually NEED a vehicle due to our own circumstances.

Hi Tcrowe. I understand and feel your pain.

If your order has a Priority Code 2, then something else/some other commodity shortage is keeping your Navigator from being completed. Your Dealer should be able to get that information and convey it to you, if they do their job properly.

And just out of curiosity (I forget if you mentioned)...How did your order receive a Priority Code of 2? Dealers can not assign a priority code of less than 10. Do you have any official paperwork showing a Priority Code of 2? Priority codes of less than 10 can only be assigned by Regional Headquarters etc. And usually under special circumstances, such as buybacks, replacements for vehicles damaged in transport, if your last name is Ford;), etc.
So I am just wondering if your Dealer is being totally honest and transparent.

And I hope you get your Navigator as soon as possible.

Good luck.

I have no idea how I’m priority code 2. When I placed my order I was 19 then I got bumped to 2 in January. My husband reached out to customer relations at FoMoCo a few months ago to find out what was going on and they also confirmed priority 2.

I know there was a shortage on black interior but that’s gotten better. No clue what my hold up is now.

Hi Tcrowe. Have you called Lincoln Concierge and/or checked back with the Sales Manager at your Dealership lately?

Computer chip shortages are a major issue, and that can vary from vehicle order to vehicle order, according to features ordered. However, there are others, such as the black leather shortage, consoles, etc. etc. And new ones pop up everyday when scheduled/expected parts deliveries do not show up at factories and assembly lines.

Did you ever receive an official, typed Vehicle Order Confirmation (VOC), and/or a Dealer Order Recognition acknowledgement (DORA)? Or was this a handshake and handwritten notes type of order?

I understrand how frustrating it is, so I am only trying to offer help/suggestions which may get you some information.

Keep us updated and good luck.

I have all documentation, confirmations, finally got a VIN in April or May. I’ve been in touch weekly with my sales rep and my husband has reached out to customer relations a few times. Everyone is dumbfounded.

This is from early April if I remember correctly. Shows my order options and priority code 2. Even back then I was still unscheduled and hadn't been assigned a VIN.

The 23 order guide is coming out next week. With the first 23 production being 9/12, they are doing a big production run in August to help clear out the 22 orders. It appears I'm in that big run but I'm not holding my breath at this point.

I thought the black interior had been an issue and causing delays due to lack ion inventory on that color.
