For what it's worth (according to the Blue Oval site), the following summarizes the Nav Scheduling history since the week of 12/6:

Week of 12/6 - Startup Scheduling
Week of 12/13 - Cleanup Scheduling
Week of 12/20 - No Scheduling
Week of 12/27 - No Scheduling
Week of 1/3 - Cleanup Scheduling
Week of 1/10 - No Scheduling

So it appears that they've not really gotten the line going in any meaningful way at this point. What would be nice is if Lincoln did not use the Mushroom philosophy on customers willing to pay ~$100K/pop to acquire their product. A little communication would go a long way.
This has nothing to do with orders already scheduled. Production doesn’t begin until next week at the earliest.
I agree with you, the communication sucks.

Hi gang. Just to avoid confusion: Once production has ramped up through the initial troubleshooting phases, "retail orders" are the scheduling priority, not Dealer stock orders.

This new ordering procedure, and others, have been implemented by Lincoln/Ford in order to get vehicles to customers who factory order their vehicles (i.e. retail orders) as soon as possible. So retail orders take priority over Dealer stock orders.
In fact, in some cases, Dealers can not currently even place stock allocation orders for certain vehicles/configurations. Only retail orders for confirmed customers. Much of this information has already been posted, but does tend to become overlooked/lost over time.

Also, keep in mind that some members here are confusing placing an order with it being scheduled, etc. Plus, some Dealer personnel are playing a little fast and loose with what they are telling customers...and making promises they can't keep and will back off of and rephrase later. Not exactly a new phenomenon for sales personnel. ;)

Also, keep in mind that Lincoln is providing Dealers with the latest information. The problem is the particular Dealer personnel who are not bothering to pay attention, or simply over-promising. While automakers do have a certain amount of control over Dealerships, Auto Dealers are actually independent franchises, and have for more autonomy than many people realize.

Good luck to all, and hope you get your new vehicles as soon as possible.

I ordered Oct23. I was priority code 19 and as of two hours ago, I’m now priority code 02, haven’t been scheduled, and have no VIN.

Thank you for that info, much appreciated.

My dealer gets new updates on Thursdays and will let me know if any new news is available then.

For what it’s worth, I got an email from Lincoln right after I placed the order to confirm it. Nothing in the three months since.

Same here and same for everyone from what I am gathering.

Hey guys, how are people getting the priority codes? Can anyone point me to the easiest way to track delivery once I've completed the dealer order?

My priority code is towards the top/middle of my order sheet. I emailed my contact at the dealership yesterday for an update and he informed me of my new priority code.

It should be written on your paperwork

Thanks guys, so sounds like you need to call the dealer & get updated docs every few weeks to know your status?

I was hoping maybe you could call the concierge and get updates like how with BMW you call the "genius" line and/or go to BMW's website "My Garage" website.

Hi Gruss. We can call Lincoln Concierge for updates, at least once we have a VIN, and perhaps before, when we have an order# and any other necessary information etc.

However, we all need to keep in mind that these times are a bit extraordinary, so not everything is working like a well oiled machine for auto manufacturers.

Good luck.

At what point does Lincoln assign a VIN?

Hi Skol. In pre-pandemic times, ~5 to ~10 days before the production date. In these times, with commodity shortages, weather delays etc? It can vary even more.

Good luck.

Thank you. Every manufacturer is different. Ram gave me on the day after I ordered. Then, proceeded to wait seven months to build it wrong.

Thanks! I'll ask my rep for an order num / production num ...

I know with ordering BMWs there's a game dealers play of taking an order but not actually having a factory allocation to fulfill the order ... or at least one they're denoting for a specific customer. So a customer thinks they've placed an order but sits waiting for months & months getting the run around from the dealer when actually there was never a factory order to begin with.

In BMW world, the way around that is to ensure one gets the production # from the dealer (which is attached to their allocation) - if you can't get that from the dealer then there is no order.

In the case of Lincoln, I want to ensure I have an actual order in the factory and not just a piece of meaningless paper from my dealer.

Hi GrussGott. Ask the Dealer/salesperson for a copy of the VOC (Vehicle Order Confirmation). It will include all that information, including your order information, priority code etc. etc.

Good luck.

Exactly what I needed to know, thanks BBF!

Is there a late availability for Rear Seat Message w/o Rear console? There is a document online which says late availability (MY22), however, dealer says it is not, but the rear message with console is flagged as late availability.

Anyone has any input on this? Anyone ordered rear message? Which version? with or without console?
