2022 Navigator

Correction,: ordered Oct 28th. Order modified for rear seat Ent. Removal (due to late availability, request for change came from MFR scheduling) on 11/8. order was changed on 11/8 or 11/9, not sure.

Anyone know what is the average delivery time from the day the vehicle is manufactured and the time it arrives at the dealer (S.E. US) for Navigator?

Hi mm-etech. This is an opinion based on many years of experience: There are far too many variables for an "average" to mean anything. Especially nowadays, with additional quality checks, pandemic induced transportation shortages/delays/restrictions, transportation delays due to winter weather, etc. etc. etc.

Even in pre-pandemic times, delivery times would vary by how far your Dealer is from the production site, how many transfers the vehicle would need to reach your Dealer, etc, etc.
Nowadays, even the previous delivery time of a Navigator that someone may have experienced to your exact same Dealership will not be the same as yours will be today, to your same Dealership

While I am sure numbers can (and will) be mentioned, they will all turn out to be worthless, except for the one that may wind up being like yours... completely by coincidence. And you will have no idea which one that is until your Navigator shows up. In other words, a complete coincidence.

I hope this explanation, and the reason for it, is understandable.

Hope your wait is a short one and good luck.

bbf2530, agree and makes perfect sense. However, per past experience per-COVID era, I like to know if it was days, weeks or months!

Hi mm-etech. I completely understand. And thanks for understanding my reply was meant to help.

Hopefully other member will jump in with some estimates.

Good luck.

Interesting since I ordered the second week the order banks were open. Okay, thanks.
I ordered second day order bank opened. I’m scheduled and have a vin.
I’m told to expect a month from date built to arrival at dealer.

Do you have an extremely high priority code that is higher than what I am in reacquired vehicle status? Again, I find it odd that my dealer swears, and I can't think of any reason for them to say otherwise, that no retail orders have been scheduled. I wonder why they wouldn't tell me something like, "Good news, retail orders are starting to be scheduled, so we hope to hear something on yours very soon."

Just doesn't make sense.

I think you need to talk to someone else at your dealership. The person that orders cars has real-time access to the status. The only other thing I can think of is that you have an option where the parts are not yet available, I’m which case they won’t schedule you.

You may be right, but she has been at that dealership handling reacquired vehicles for a long time. She is getting her information from the ordering manager. I will follow up again today. Not aware of any items on my order that are delaying anything.

What us the build date? And, not trying to be difficult here, but did YOU order the vehicle as the owner listed on the paperwork, or did the dealership order as part of their allocation that they will see to you?

I’m a reserve L with most options with the exception of monochromatic and entertainment. We also went with captains chairs in second row without the center console.

Build is 3rd week of Feb.

Okay, thank you. Additionally, what I am asking is if yours is a retail order with your name on the paperwork or a dealer allocation with dealership name that they will sell to you when it arrives.

It’s a retail order with my name on it. We picked the options, etc. signed a sales order, etc

Oh okay, well, it should be shown on your order paperwork. I ask because, as I have said many times, I am supposed to have one of the higher priority codes due to the fact that I am in reacquired vehicle status. So, unless you and others are like that, I do question why other people are getting VINs ahead of me. I guess I need to call Lincoln.

Thanks.

Black Label, what is reacquired vehicle status? Are u in lemon law?
Did u have issues with your truck?

Hi viper, yes, I had a bunch of software issues that I detailed on this forum. Probably things most people wouldn't notice, but I did. After well over 30 days cumulative out of service and establishing a case, Lincoln offered to reacquire my vehicle. So, I did not initiate Lemon Law, Lincoln did. Under that status, I am given a higher priority code than typical retail orders.

Seeing as how scheduling for 2022 Navigator production only began 2 day ago, it is surprising to hear some people saying the have a retail order build date already. I would think all the dealer stock allocations would take a bit of time to schedule before retail orders.

For what it's worth (according to the Blue Oval site), the following summarizes the Nav Scheduling history since the week of 12/6:

Week of 12/6 - Startup Scheduling
Week of 12/13 - Cleanup Scheduling
Week of 12/20 - No Scheduling
Week of 12/27 - No Scheduling
Week of 1/3 - Cleanup Scheduling
Week of 1/10 - No Scheduling

So it appears that they've not really gotten the line going in any meaningful way at this point. What would be nice is if Lincoln did not use the Mushroom philosophy on customers willing to pay ~$100K/pop to acquire their product. A little communication would go a long way.
