They had the car for three days. How long did they have it and what did these do beyond the software updates?
That has always been so for Excite mode. This might be a new feature. I noticed when changing drives modes selecting Excite turns off Auto Startstop and selecting normal turns it on.
I have noticed that when I start the car the brightness level notice for the 48 inch screen shows for a moment. Also noticed the brightness of the touch screen stays bright. Also I can now change the radio presets from the steering wheel when the app screen, map screen and Apple car play are in use.Just picked up my 24 Reserve 2 this morning.
They did all the software updates , and had to back order the shocks and brakes. Said it will take a good three weeks to get the parts. Had to reset almost every setting in the system when I picked it up.
What is your tire pressure? They had the car for three days.
They did all software updates, ordered new shocks per CSB, new rotors per CSB. They also balanced the front tires, as I was complaining of a lot of front end road and tire noise, which did nothing. When I bring the car back for the shocks , I am going to ask to compare a 24 from stock for the front road noise.
Groan. The LED is intermittent. Drove this morning, it worked. Got back into the car, doesn't work. That has always been so for Excite mode.
What is your tire pressure?
Mine was delivered at 36psi and I have since found that when they are aired down to about 30psi they are much quieter. Right now they are showing 27-28 in the app and 29 on a gauge but feel and sound best.
Although that sounds logical, and you're clearly very knowledgeable about the pros and cons, I have to ask if you feel that the handling or braking is impaired at all? What about fuel economy — any difference? Also, which tire is yours? What is your tire pressure?

My car was delivered at 42, and they brought it down to 36. I brought it down to 31 , and it is much better. My friend has a 24 Corsair, and he has 20 inch Continentals, his car is much quieter and smoother driving. This is actually my biggest issue with my car. As it should be much quieter and smoother driving than is. Much more road and tire noise than my 21 Nautilus had with Continentals . These 21 inch Michelins I do not find to be terribly quiet or smooth riding. What is your tire pressure?

I think that's the universal opinion of the 21" Michelins, both in this forum and outside it on other vehicles. Lower pressure will cause faster treadwear, right? Maybe that's a good reason to run them low — so we can replace it sooner. My car was delivered at 42, and they brought it down to 36. I brought it down to 31 , and it is much better. I have the 22" Goodyear Eagle Touring tires. When you get to 45 series they are stiff like any low profile tire but still had a ton of sidewall. Running them a tad on the lower side you have a stiff enough sidewall and they are fairly narrow so I don't think you will get accelerated wear at the tire edges. No real change in fuel economy yet but the weather is getting cold so I expect a change anyway. I definitely would stick to the recommended pressures for the 20" wheels though. Those are cold pressure from a sub 40 deg morning BTW. After a few miles they are around 32psi.Although that sounds logical, and you're clearly very knowledgeable about the pros and cons, I have to ask if you feel that the handling or braking is impaired at all? I am also experiencing the Auto Hold light issue and have had the software updated by my dealer. I have a FHEV. This is an intermittent problem. It happens in two different ways. Mostly, the LED by the console button won't illuminate but the green open palm symbol appears on the left side of the dash display. I have also seen the LED illuminate but no green open palm symbol on the dash display. In either instance the Auto Hold does operate correctly.Today I encountered the Auto-Hold toggle light issue again. I was in a parking lot again when I encountered the issue. The toggle was on and lit. Sometimes when parking I toggle it off to let the car ease up into the parking spot.
While repeatedly playing with the toggle, the light would not come on again, but the Auto-Hold continues to work and you know this by the icon on the 48 inch display.
The toggle light stayed off until I was going thru a drive thru. About the same time as the ICE turned on, the Auto-Hold toggle light lit up. Don’t know if that had something to do with it or if it was coincidental.
This is a hybrid-only issue as the ICE model does not have a physical toggle for engaging Auto-Hold.
FYI, it's only the Primacy A/S that's rated badly. The Primacy Tour A/S for instance, is rated very well. But with any tire, you have to prioritize noise vs wear vs dry vs wet vs snow vs economy — and pick what works for your driving style, geographic area, budget, whatever. Michelin has a lot of good tires. For some reason the Primacy is just not a good one.Our Nautilus has Goodyears and I do not think we have excess road noise at all. Will stay away from Michelin when they wear out, we never have went through a set of tires as we trade for new one no more then 4 years.
