I have a second GPS, a Garmin mounted to my left, mostly for accurate speed info, but have found that using it for finding motels, as well as directions is a much better option. This weekend, we were in Des Moines Iowa and set the Sync 3 to lead us to PF Chaings which has been located there for years. Not only was it late in telling us to turn several times, where we would have not been able to make the correct turn, we ended up across the street from the restaurant in a Mall Parking Lot. While we were going to shop anyway, it was not a big issue, but crossing the street was potentially dangerous, either by walking or driving. I also don't understand why all MFG Navigation won't allow one to make navigation decisions when moving, whereas Garmin and other aftermarket systems do. Many times we want last minute decisions that need to be made without stopping on a 6 lane freeway in heavy traffic. Most of the time we just use the factory nav as a map reference in all 3 of our vehicles with factory Nav. The GM system in our 15 & 16 Vettes is more accurate and seems more up to date than the 2023 Aviators. And... no, we haven't paid for any updates to them, nor have any system updates been required for glitches or poor operating software.
As for the stop/start issues. A simple wire patch that plugs in under the steering wheel solves the problem for around $100. Easy to install in a few minutes.
