Open Letter to Lincoln - How I'd Improve the Nautilus

I think they need to rethink levels. It seems reserve always means leather seats but they then restrict other upgrades to require reserve. I noticed this more when I was looking at Corsairs. On Corsair, to get all wheel drive you must get the grand touring model.

This one reason I chose the Nautilus.

On FB it seeems several people have just reported injector fails just as they learned about the CSP. This is a real black eye and believe Lincoln should provide some compensation (not necessarily monetary) to earn back trust.

A real challenge for us all, for sure. I have to say that Lincoln has been pretty quick to diagnose, make parts available and get service procedures to the field - well done!

That said, I couldn’t agree more to your point of customer satisfaction remediation and reassurance. Complimentary 4years of Premium Connected Services would be a great start.

My wife has the Corsair Reserve with AWD.

Hi angore. Whoever gave you that information was incorrect. A Lincoln buyer does not have to purchase a Grand Touring model to get AWD.

The 2023 and 2024 Corsair Dealer Order guides list AWD as an option in both the entry level (Standard/Premier) and Reserve models.

Hope this information helps and good luck.

Good to know.

Lincoln executives have been watching this community for years. They've also made improvements to their vehicles based upon what they've read here. They are listening to you.

This discussion will serve as a quick and easy way for Lincoln executives to gauge interest and help make decisions moving forward.

As a Nautilus driver, you should state exactly what you'd like to see enhanced, added, and/or omitted from your Lincoln Nautilus.

Any posts that don't stick to the subject matter will be moved elsewhere.
Front legroom - it needs more of it. Drivers seat doesn't move far back enough. Current Edge somehow has more legroom than the 2019 to 2023 Nautilus.

2023 Nautilus: The 2023 Lincoln Nautilus has 42.8 inches of front legroom and 39.6 inches of rear legroom.
2023 Edge: The 2023 Ford Edge has 42.6 inches of front legroom and 40.6 inches of rear legroom.

2024 Nautilus: The 2024 Lincoln Nautilus has 43.5 inches of front-seat legroom and 43.1 inches of rear-seat legroom
2024 Edge: The 2024 Ford Edge has 42.6 inches of front legroom and 40.6 inches of rear legroom. (same as '23)

It looks like the '23 Nautilus had slightly larger front legroom, 1" less rear, than the Edge.

For '24 Nautilus bumped things up, 0.7" more front and 2.5" more rear than the '23 Nautilus

Thanks for including the real number comparison markfm! These are just two of the enhancements that make the 24 Nautilus a better overall choice and why we upgraded our lease early.

I came from a 2019 edge ST.. The 24 nautilus definitely has more legroom front and back. The edge platform sits you up a bit higher in the vehicle so you feel more on top of rather than inside of the vehicle though. The driver forward/rear seat travel in the 24 nautilus is defiantly shorter by maybe an inch but there is more seat tilt angle available. I can position my seat so the pedals are uncomfortably far away even at 6'2". In my edge I could drive with the seat in the entry/exit assist position and realize a half mile down the road something isn't right. In the Nautilus i wont even begin to drive before I feel something isn't right.

Door handle cups...... And never ever again roll out a vehicle before it's ready.. There is no reason for customers paying 10s of thousands of dollars for a product to be beta testers... This is the worst rollout of a new vehicle I have ever experienced.... Thankfully I'm just here to research because I currently have a 22 and it looks like I'm going to be keeping it for another two years and I will buy the 24 because I liked the 24 but I will buy it used for a little over half price when all the issues will be fixed and updates done

Unless you buy a black label you will have to wait a good 5 years+ to get close to 50% MSRP on reasonable mile cars. Also you will find the 2019-2023 have more quality concerns than the 24. Even comparing launch vs launch. The 2019 had a recall within the first months of availability and a TON of owner complaints. Transmission issues that are still ongoing even and suspension problems to this day. It seems odd to see a few people claim this to be the worst vehicle launch when many of us were there for several generations of previous vehicles that were far worse. I feel this has been relitively average for problems. Sync3 and 4 were absolutely garbage at release too.

I’m pretty sure most will find themselves loving this vehicle once this first wave of issues dissolves. It happens to be a pleasure to drive. I can say this now that the worry of the fuel injector issue is resolved for me!

The dealer in Ft Myers gives no priority to the Nautilus injector issue. I both called and then I visited in person with the service manager. Their view is that they are scheduling recalls for August and that they are all “safety” recalls. I guess to them there are not different degrees of safety nor does it matter how far a person has to drive to get back home. Really disappointing service…

No help from Lincoln corporate/Concierge? They sourced the dealer bulletin, and to shovel doing the fixes out until August goes directly against the way the CSP was written (urging dealers to proactively reach out to owners, to get the fix done on any affected VIN vehicle to avoid possibly significant damage [hydrolock]). "Is Lincoln really trying to get more wrecked engines, more RAV actions, rather than getting their dealers to do the fix expeditiously (as requested by the CSP)?"

Corporate should have usable pressure on dealers, "We have standards that dealers should meet, including not ignoring things when we specifically tell them to perform them quickly"

Lincoln concierge was not able to help. After my first conversation with the dealership, I called Lincoln Concierge and they basically said it’s up to the dealerships to schedule. Anyway we are off topic now. But basically I’m resigned to driving back to Houston without the fix and hoping for the best. Trying to schedule the fix in Houston.

Please post the dealer name. I’m in Florida half the year and want to be sure to avoid them.
Mine came from a dealer in St. Augustine and the local dealer in Ky ordered the parts 2 days and scheduled the fix next Wednesday. Shouldn’t matter who sold it! They all get paid the same for recall, csp and warranty work. I would ask the concierge to pass me to the next level support. I have read of some getting help from them.

There is only one dealer in Ft Myers.

A Ford dealer can do it and would drive several hours away to get it done. The repair is fairly quick.
