2024 Nautilus software and battery issues

What are specs on that battery(CCA). I was told it was the 80ah 800CCA battery.
Hybrid gets 50AH and I believe 600CCA. CCA wont matter though since it doesn't ever get a cranking load.
Non hybrid I think your right though for 80AH and 800CCA.

Thanks - I hadn't heard that it was an H4 group size before.
Yup.. ford P/N is BAGM-4H. Its broken out a bit more in the parts description. The non hybrid uses a H7-94r

You would have to measure yours first but I would bet this would fit....This one is even lower profile......
Group Size will put you in the proper fitment, as well as terminal location (what side + / - terminals are on).
After group size is identified, you can select range of CA, CCA, etc. available for the range of offerings.
If you do not go by group size & use dimensions only, you need to be sure terminal locations are on the proper side & location of the battery!

I would not install a universal / non-oem battery in a warranty vehicle! You are only risking further aggravation should an electrical glitch occur. They will most definitely knock you down for an improper battery should they find any discrepancy from OEM specs! You would be asking for a fight.

Although I see OEM bats as Jacyte points out available from Ford sites, I do not believe you are going to get one before dealers get orders fulfilled for their needs first. Over the counter customers will be last in line to get one...they will always fill dealer needs first!

I took delivery of my Nautilus Hybrid 3 weeks ago. This morning it was in "deep sleep mode" due to the battery being dead. I am figuring this is due to an attempted software update as my home wifi network notifies me when a new device joins the network and the infotainment system did in the previous evening.

Sorry to hear. Did you jump it or is it in the shop? Any idea what the update was? Lincoln Concierge would be able to tell you. My car is 3 weeks old too. About a week ago an update was attempted on my car but cancelled for some reason. It was the infotainment update 9.01. I still don’t have it.

They would have to prove that the battery caused damage to the system. It would have to be a really messed up battery. Don’t buy a non standard off brand battery. Make sure it’s got some sort of guarantee.

I charged the battery myself and am sending it off to the dealer tomorrow to have everything checked and install the 24b09 infotainment update. It could have been this update attempting OTA as I had received a notice in the mail regarding this update being available for my car OTA.

I was having some intermittent buggy software issues on my 2024 Black Label Nautilus, and I tried the “reboot option” and that solved the problems. Reboot: Pres and hold Down the center volume control knob for a little over 10 seconds and release. All screens will go dark, and then system will reboot. You can do this driving (just keep eyes on road) or parked with engine running. As a former Director of IT, I realize that this new Lincoln and its Android operating system is basically a computer on wheels…. And a reboot is a good thing to do once in a while.

There was some TSB telling the dealers to deliver all vehicles with 70% min charge on battery.

SSM 52285 "...The Lincoln electronic pre-delivery inspection (ePDI) process should be fully completed, which includes battery state of charge checks. Do not utilize the ePDI IDS override function to bypass these checks. If SOC is below 70% the battery must be charged with the charger's negative clamp on an engine or chassis ground...."

‘24 Reserve II Hybrid wouldn’t start this morning. We got a notification in the app it was going into deep sleep mode the evening prior. We didn’t know what that meant and didn’t pay any attention. This morning the car would not unlock. Manually opened door, jumped it, and it “started”. Lincoln roadside towed it to dealer. They’re saying we will have it back in a day or so. I hope that’s true! They had no loaners.

Sorry to hear. How many miles do you have on it? How long have you had the car?
Good luck and please circle back to let us know the resolution

Thinking the same thing Houtex is....battery must have been in a low state of charge for this to happen! Did you have it sitting for an extended period of time?
Welcome to the forum....impressive list of past Lincoln's you have owned! Maybe typo, was that 1972 a Mk IV?

LATEST: Still at the dealership (15 days now), no fix but have confirmed it is the battery that is the problem .... & no one has any, so cannot begin to test/check anything else. Dealership has found at least one dead battery on new cars on lot also. Have talked to corporate & they are investigating this.
FINALLY - car back today after 33 days! New battery has been well tested & assured it is holding at 100%. Finally dealership managed to get a battery from another dealer (I believe Lincoln helped on that) shipped 5/6 & back today. Fingers crossed for no more issues.

Here is a scenario.

Vehicle is in garage, locked, Phone/FOB NOT nearby. Hybrid model.

I try to open driver using door handle (does not open because it is locked)

There is immediate activity in interior when dash turring on. Usually there is some mechanical noise (one comes from from rear like something is engaging).

The odd thing aspect is the center screen flashes the Lincoln logo flashes very briefly but does not stay on. Is this center display action normal? Is the computer booting but just not displaying?

As a data point I just tried that on my non-hybrid.

Same conditions, vehicle is in garage, locked, Phone/FOB NOT nearby.

I heard minor activity under the hood, the front grill light bar lit for a second then turned off, the center display flashed very briefly, and the air bag and PRNDL lights lit on the panoramic display and stayed on.

After about a minute there was more minor activity under the hood and the lights on the panoramic display turned off.

No idea what any of that means, but I think it would be nice if the alarm chirped when that happens to possibly ward off a potential thief.

Thanks for recreating. I am aware of delayed noises under hood. I had opened door to open hood then while sticking my hand down to get a pic of the injector something made a noise. It surprised me. I do not think the car should do anything if locked except maybe illuminate the keypad.

In my 20 Aviator, I hear strange noises for several minutes after it is turned off. Like a self check or something. Supposed to get my Nautilus today.
