2024 delivery schedule

That' ok I got the jist. How they know which key is for which vehicle then. And which vehicle goes where how do they figure all that out. How long did the average person get there's after.
Mine landed on 1-22, i took possession on 2-28

I have a complete printout of my vinview. There's a couple status. "Full container Discharged at Port of Discharge" then "Vehicle Received." Then it goes to "work started" to "Work completed" to "compound exit" to "VIN loaded on railcar."

Ship Arrived 1/20. Unloaded 1/22. Work completed on 2/2. My VIN was loaded on a railcar on 2/8 then arrived at the interchange in Kansas City on 2/18. It was unloaded in JAX on 2/25 and arrived at the dealer on 2/29.

Just a confirmation for those expecting a vehicle on the Glovis Sunrise, it dropped 1,499 vehicles at Portland today.

I guess one must have fallen off. I hope it's not yours.

Thanks for the dates. They really help me get a better understanding of my timeline that hasn't even started yet. But now I know a possible route and days to JAX then possible days to dealer in Ocala.
Appreciate you.

I should add that the last update status field on the Lincoln tracker site was updated when it left Portland on 2/8, when it hit Kansas City on 2/18, then when it hit JAX. There's a bunch of overlap of dates onmy vinview between 2/24 and 2/28 between the truck carrier Metrologistics and Norfolk Southern (along with some entries with BNSF). But ultimately, the truck departs JAX on 2/28 and arrives on 2/29.

I visited with my sales rep this morning. My vehicle was initially scheduled for production the week of 2/26. It has been pushed out one month to the week of 3/26. He didn't know the reason for the delay but has reached out to his representative to see why and if there is any way to move my production date up. Honestly, it is only a couple of weeks away but I appreciate his efforts.

Mine was scheduled the same week, I will check with the Dealership to see if mine is delayed.

Silver Sky is back in the thread with a scheduled appearance this ☘️St Patrick's Day☘️ in Portland. It had a prior stop in Shanghai during this past cycle, and so it may be a lucky ship for one of you Lincoln Forum members.

"Good Luck" to you as well.

I'm very new to this vehicle, but am a bit confused by this whole thread.

I learned about the Nautilus yesterday morning after reading an autoblog.com review. I was intrigued, test drove one yesterday afternoon, did a bunch of homework last night, and bought one this afternoon. The dealer didn't have the exact car that I wanted, but he found one 150 miles away. It should be here in a couple days.

Now I see that many of you are waiting months for your cars. Why? Did I just get lucky with availability?

Depends on whether you purchased ICE or hybrid. All of us waiting were custom orders, not dealer inventory. Hybrids were built after the initial ICE production.

Many of us special ordered our vehicles so we are waiting on them to be built.

Probably not. The pre-orders before production are not all delivered yet, but just about. There's a bunch of people that ordered before deliveries emerged around mid-January that are still waiting, but full-blown availability wasn't until right about now. In fact, Lincoln officially launched the vehicle just this week because dealers now have ample supply.

I imagine a few of the outstanding orders could be filled in the way yours was. Maybe the orders from more remote areas still can't. At this point it's six of one and a half-dozen of another.

Some people prefer to order period, and always will. But that need is close to an end.

But why did you need to special order? I got exactly what I wanted (Black Label, Chroma Cavier, Chalet interior) by the dealer just looking for local inventory. I feel like I'm missing something.

That makes sense. The article I read yesterday was likely published to be timed with the official release and full availability.

Hi hinckley. There are many reasons to factory/special/custom order. And there are also good reasons to purchase from Dealer inventory, if one so inclined, and also lucky enough to find what they want in Dealer stock, as you were.

Just some examples:
- As others mentioned, they special ordered, or are looking for something very specific which is not available in any locally convenient inventory. And inventory is only now beginning to be built up as production has finally ramped up.

- Many (but not all) of those now waiting actually ordered long before production even began. And as you stated, you got lucky and found "exactly" what you want. However, with all the possible order combinations available, that is not always an easy thing to do, especially for those buyers who may be more specific in what they want.

- Some of us prefer a very precise vehicle, ordered to our liking, which was ordered specifically for us, and has not been sitting on the Dealer lot, test driven by others, etc. etc. Factory ordering is the way to guarantee that.
Personally, I fit into this category. I have factory ordered every vehicle I have ever owned, since my first new one in 1976. ;)

- Another reason is that it is usually possible to negotiate a lower price on a factory ordered vehicle than a Dealer stock/inventory vehicle, since it does not count against the Dealer's total vehicle allotment. Therefore, many Dealers are more willing to agree to a lower price.

Those are just some of the good reasons that some Lincoln buyers would factory/custom/special order. Also, sorry that some of my reply is repetitive/redundant to what others have already stated above, but I thought I would list all the reasons I could think of off the top of my head.

Good luck. 🍻

Hinckley,

My reason for a custom order was that recently, starting with the epidemic and continuing through the global chip shortage, I was becoming annoyed with seeing Window Stickers with Factory Options being deleted due to the unavailability of the chips necessary for that Option to work. I felt that I could just about guarantee I could get the Options I wanted by Custom Ordering. There were several of the Options I wanted that were consistently being deleted from new vehicles due to the chip shortages. I found this to be very frustrating.

Thanks and I get it. I'm the sort of person who wants what I want, and will never spend thousands of dollars to settle for something less. But with the Nautilus Black Label, there seems to be only four variables - engine, exterior color, interior color and Jet Appearance package. In 24 hours of considering my purchase, I went thru three different combinations and my dealer could access all of them pretty easily.
