Hi gang. Sorry if my previous posts listing a basic outline of the rules were confusing. So to add some clarification, here are some of the available plans, and clarifications (in red):
From my previous posts concerning-
Ford Employee/Ford Retiree "Friends and Neighbors" X-Plan PINS. "These are available for 'Friends and Neighbors' of Ford Employees and Retirees. We ask them if they will give us one, and they can register us for a PIN."
This plan is for Ford employees/retirees to offer PINs to their "Friends and Neighbors" as stated. The Ford employee/retiree can offer and generate a PIN for anyone they wish (up to their annual limit). Friends, neighbors etc. Obviously, the individuals do not need to live in the same household as the Ford employee/retiree. You can see the rules page using the link 7.62Kolectr posted. Ford employees/retirees have a dedicated website they use to generate A/Z Plan PINS for themself, and X-Plan PINS for their friends/neighbors.
From my previous post concerning
"Ford Partner Company X-Plan PINS" (while it is an X-Plan PIN, this is
not a “Friends and Neighbors” plan)- These are available to qualifying employees/retirees of “Ford Partner” companies. Only the actual Partner Company employee/retiree, and those residing in the same household/at the same address, are eligible to use these PINS. For those PINS, the qualifying Partner Company Employee/Retiree obtains their company code from their HR Department (or equivalent), and use it to register on the “Ford Partner Company” X-Plan website, where the Partner Company employee can then register for an X-Plan PIN for themself, or for a qualifying resident of their household."
This plan is for employees/retirees of "Ford Partner Recognition Plan" companies. Eligibility is for the actual "Partner Recognition Company" employee/retiree and residents of the same household, with the same address. It is not a "Friends and Neighbors" plan like the Ford Employees/Retirees.
The Partner Recognition Company Employee has a dedicated website (a different website than a Ford Employee/retiree) which they use to generate an X-Plan PIN for themself or the individuals living in their household (2 per year).
Dealers are supposed to verify/ID the Partner Company employee status and/or address and household requirements. Do all Dealers do that? Probably not. But be ready if they do follow the rules and do ask for company ID/address verification.
You can find the rules for the Partner Recognition Company Plan on the website I linked to in my previous posts.
Here is a copy and paste from that website:
"Partner Recognition:
An eligible Partner Recognition employee or retiree may generate up to two (2) PINs per calendar year to be used towards the purchase/lease of a new vehicle for them or members of their households as noted below (see PIN Generation for details):
- Employees (full time, part-time and contract), retirees and spouses of eligible Partner companies (suppliers, fleets, etc.) and members of specific organizations or groups.
- Residents of the same household as listed above (driver’s license required for proof of residency).
- Participation is by invitation only as determined by Ford Motor Company and Lincoln Motor Company. Not all suppliers, fleets, etc. are eligible."
From my previous post concerning
Club X-Plan PINS (again, while it is an X-Plan PIN, this is
not a "Friends and Neighbors" X-Plan plan)- These include clubs like the Mustang Club of America and others. I believe the rules for those are the same as for Ford Partner Company X-Plan PINs. Only the qualifying Club Member and those residing at the same household/address are eligible to use a PIN. And along with club membership/ID requirements, there is usually a waiting period after joining the club before a PIN can be generated. 90 days is common. I’ve never used or provided one of those. Taking an educated guess, I’m assuming there is a website for the club where the club member would register and obtain a PIN for themself or other qualifying individual residing in their household/address."
I am less familiar with all the rules for Club Plans, but am going under the assumption the rules are similar to the "Ford Partner Recognition Company" plan rules. The Club member would be able to generate an X-Pan PIN (2 per year) for themself and residents of their own household/address. Just as with the "Ford Partner Recognition Company". Again, it is not a "Friends and Neighbors" type of plan like what Ford employees and retirees have. And there is usually a waiting period after joining. Typically 90 days.
And just as with the "Ford Partner Company Recognition" plan, Dealers are supposed to verify eligibility and address requirements. Do all Dealers do so? Likely not. But again, be ready if they do.
Perhaps a Club member can post the rules website, it available.
Hopefully that better clarifies some of the rules differences between the Ford Employee/Retiree "Friends and Neighbors" X-Plan rules,
as opposed to the "Ford Partner Recognition Company" X-Plan and Club X-Plan rules. While all theree are "X-Plan PINS", the eligibility rules/requirements differ between all three.
You can see some of the rules differences by looking at these two websites:
The website I posted for
"Ford Partner Recognition Company" X-Plan-

The
"Ford Employee Friends and Neighbors" X-Plan website (thanks to 7.62Kolectr)-

We can also download forms etc.
To protect our X-Plan purchasing rights, anyone purchasing under those plans should certainly read the appropriate website, in order to acquaint themselves with all of the rules and regulations. Because again, auditing and policing by Ford/Lincoln is minimal. Therefore, many (but not all) Dealerships do sometimes play a little fast and loose with customers who do not know the X-Plan pricing guidelines.
Feel free to ask any questions if it is still a bit confusing.
Good luck.
