My Lincoln
2021 Lincoln Corsair Iced Mocha Sandstone Reserve 2.3L AWD Sport and Adaptive Suspension
While watching some video reviews of the Corsair I noticed that in a couple of them, one could see what looked like a cubby or some type of holder or small bin in the forward center console under the stack at the very front. One video, I believe an official Lincoln promo video, also showed someone putting their phone in it which really intrigued me since I don't like where the wireless charger is because it (rightly) makes your phone so inaccessible when charging.

So I started looking into it further and found that it could rarely be seen even in 2020 videos, and never could I see it in 2021 or later videos. When looking at my 2021, I could feel what had to be some slots for the bin in my console so I figured if I could find the actual part, it would slide right in. After some digging, I found the following breakdown of the center console:

The part (in green) is LJ7Z-78045G74-AA and Ford refers to it as "Tray Package Center" which isn't the best description. The drawing lacks detail, but it turns out it is exactly what I could see in a couple of the 2020 videos.

At any rate, I was able to finally find it in stock direct from Ford after having two previous orders from other sellers canceled due to being out of stock. Here is what it looks like installed in my Corsair:

It slides right into the slots and is totally secure. It is completely out of the way and doesn't affect the rest of the storage area really at all nor does it get in the way of the sliding door. It is nice to free up the cupholders and use this new bin as a spot for my phone. It holds it at the perfect angle and won't scratch the phone as it's the same soft velvety material as all the internal storage in the Corsair.

It's not cheap, though! In fact, it's priced about four times what it should be, as most places are asking around $60 for it, assuming you can find it in stock.

Interestingly, most sites list it as fitting 2020 and 2021 models, so I wonder if the slots were removed from 2022 and newer models. If any 2022 owners could check and report back, that would be helpful for those interested.

It would also be interesting to see who has it and what their build dates and trim levels are. I find it odd that it apparently wasn't included in all 2020 builds. And since I haven't seen it in any 2021 or later models. it appears to be another example of the de-contenting that Lincoln did between 2020 and 2021.

Looks nice. Can you post a picture with your phone in the new holder?

Also, what is that black dongle in your USB-C port?

Good idea on the picture. I will take one and post it when I get home and have access to a camera since I can't use my phone to take a picture of my phone!

The dongle is simply a USB-C flash drive holding my MP3 files since I usually use the regular type-A port for my wireless Android Auto adapter. So both ports are usually in use, which is why I also have the USB fast charger in the 12-volt port as well.

I like it! And also like your excellent description! Thank you.

I am considering it, but $60 seems a lot, as you mentioned.

I would be interested to see what the advantage of this part is. Looking forward to the photo.

I wish the '22 and below had the phone charger in that slot. I think the charger in the armrest is horribly placed. On top of that, I often forget my phone is in there until I get inside my home and have to come back out for it.

Seems very secure and I like the angle of it and that it isn't occupying one of the cup holders.

Has anyone had a chance to check if they have this part or at least the slots in there to add it? If you do check and post back, please note your year and trim level.

Thanks!

I have a '22 Reserve 2.0T. It feels like there are a couple of slots there. I tried to take a picture, but it is virtually impossible. The limited room to get a phone in there and the light in the compartment shining in the camera lens... Nope, not happening! LOL

Thanks for checking. I'd say that confirms that it would work on all 2020-2022 models, probably any trim, despite the part sites (and Ford) saying it's only for 2020 and 2021.

If anyone gets it for any year, let us know! I'm also interested to see if anyone had it when they bought their Corsair.

You got the same cup holder inserts I got. They make the console look way classier.

Oh stop being such a cheapskate and just go get it. You know you want to! 😁

So where is the wireless charger pad for comparison (Sorry I have a Nautilus and the pad is in the center console)?
Conceivably you could drill a hole in the bottom of that tray, and thread a cable to charge your phone while it sits in there.

Accessories you bought for your Corsair Thread see post #55. I highly recommend the code reader.

The wireless charger is in the center console under the armrest.

Here is the link to the cup holder coasters. I agree, they really class up that area!

I pulled out the existing rubber in the cup holders and crazy glued the new coasters to them. I didn’t want them to move lol

That will do the trick! I used some small, thin 3M Command Strips to secure the Lincoln logo coasters to the existing rubber coasters so they wouldn't get out of alignment.

Check out the link I put up for the accessory thread. I highly recommend the blue tooth code reader. With these new cars one sensor can take down the whole system. I leave it plugged in and at least I can reset a code and get where I’m going. No less read the code and save a report for the Dealer or to fix it myself. Sometimes when I’m driving I open the app in the phone and watch the live data I selected. It gets amazing reviews and shows all the bulletins and recalls for the car. Also provides links to fixes for codes and even to order the parts !

Thanks Guys. Not sure if your cupholders have lights in them in the bottom (mine does, for "ambient lighting"). Do those inserts cover those lights?
Nope ! If you look at the rubber inserts already in the cup holder they have a smaller circle in them. They fit in there so there is an opening around the inserts for the ambient lighting. I have mine lit up I think it’s teal and the inserts look amazing

...
It's a really good idea, and of course Lincoln should have included it in all Corsairs, (let the owners decided if they want to use it) but we all know why they didn't. If I had a use for it, I would have bought between the time @BrianUsher posted it and now, but I have no use for it, as I always have my phone in my pocket using an Android Auto wireless dongle. Never even use the uselessly located wireless charger.

On a related subject, My Corsair has a similar holder in the center console.20230510_152931-1.webp
