Accessories you bought for your Corsair Thread

It's both, 2023 & Asian market.

So, at this point, color me VERY interested in this module.

Unfortunately, no one here actually bought and installed one of these so at the moment, it seems like a risky purchase.

I don't want to be the guinea pig -- especially with the price tag and not knowing how easily I will be able to pop out the existing module. I also have an extended warranty on the vehicle and I am not certain if the modification would void it.

I just ordered the K&N air filter. I put them in all my cars. Just me though lol. I have recharge kits left over anyway.

In looking at the replacement module from China, I see the upper display is definitely not the Sync 3 that we have here in the US/Canada, etc. I'd be very wary about this being "plug & play".

I have been showing this product around to another Lincoln group and there is great cause for concern among those who have seen it.

First and foremost, this comes out of China. There's very little information other than photos. To date, no videos on the installation or how well it works.

Also, the fact that it's showing the module on a 2023 Corsair and it indicates it also fits 2022 is concerning.

I'm not going to bother with this. If anyone else wants to be a guinea pig, please be certain to post your experiences here.

Hi NJRonbo. Any vehicle modification can affect warranty claims issues/denials for any vehicle system and/or component problems which can even remotely be connected to the modification.

So installing that panel could/would obviously lead to warranty claims denials for the Climate Control system, SYNC, any other remotely connected electrical/electronic issues, etc. etc. Not stating it always will, but it may/will. However, an obvious modification like this would be hard to hide and hard for them to miss, unless it is removed every time the vehicle is Dealer serviced.

And for anyone wondering: No, the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act offers no protections for using/installing this type of modification. And it does not matter if your Dealer service people are "cool" and say they don't care. It is Lincoln/Ford that makes the final decision on warranty claims. And in my experience/opinion, if they know that unit was installed, the likelihood of warranty issues is pretty high.

Not telling anyone what to do with their vehicles, just want anyone contemplating vehicle modifications to be aware of the possible warranty ramifications. 🤗

Good luck.

bbf,

As always, very helpful response.

I should have also added in my previous reply that there was also concern expressed about warranty violations. I have an extended warranty from Lincoln that I don't feel comfortable screwing with.

Hi NJRonbo. You actually did express warranty concerns and mention the extended warranty in your previous post. That was why I quoted and answered you specifically.

Good luck my friend! 🍻

I would bet this voids the warranty if Sync 3 is eliminated. I would be tempted to use this after my original warranty is over.

Personally, I won't likely have my Corsair after the original fact. warranty ends. 4 years...with my history, that is a long time to own a car, and for me to own one beyond Fact warranty with all the electronics this car has? I'd rather buy a new car with even more! LOL

That’s the perfect reason why you should take one for the team and put it in! 😜

I couldn’t find much either. Wanted a Bra to protect from rock chips…..none. Wanted a bug deflector for hood…..nothing lol. I have the all weather mats. The cargo liner and cargo protector. GF did find some really different mats on Amazon. I threw them over the Lincoln all weather mats. They cover way more even more than weather tech. There selling so many Corsairs IDK why there isn’t more?
I think you're looking for this part. VNJ7Z-2120000-A. Looking at it myself, but not sure about install. assuming it is a one and done install.

K&N filter finally came. I’ve always been a fan of these.

Does it make any difference in performance? I had one on my Lincoln LS V8 and it didn't do much.
More air flow equals more horsepower but not much. A little more responsiveness and mebe a little better gas mileage. But you can clean it forever so in the long run it saves a few dollars

I got nice valve stem covers that kind of match the gray paint of the rims. The logo is etched on so it can’t fall off like some do. Got the drop stop that goes between seat and console so nothing falls into the valley of no return anymore lol. Got a yeti rambler 20oz travel mug that matches the interior and keeps drinks cold and hot for hours. Also has a really cool magnetic slide on the top that comes off for easy cleaning. Leakproof ? No but if it turns over it dribbles a few drops as opposed to spilling an open cup. All on Amazon

I like the stem caps. Will look into those.

The drop stop looks good. However, I wonder if I would be better served by one of these...

It should act like a drop stop and you could put stuff inside of it.

I will say, the drop stop looks less "gaudy" than a gap filler organizer.

That may work. The drop stop is soft material and moves back and forth with the seat. It rubs the console leather and since it’s so soft I don’t worry it will wear it out. Can’t tell you how many times stuff drops there at the most inconvenient times lol the Lady from Shark Tank bought into it and it comes with a free LED light and a rubber grip mat that sticks where you want it to to put stuff on and it won’t fall off.
