Another handy accessory I bought for my car since learning about it from a physical therapist:

It really works if you need something to hold onto to get in/out of the car (e.g. you broke your ankle, had foot surgery, etc. … or just very elderly and need that extra thing to grab). Just store it in your door cubby, and it’s pretty cheap. It can also break glass if you find yourself underwater someday

Definitely good for the reasons you listed!

I had thought there was a thread that already existed on this topic. I did a search for accessories and nothing came up, so I am going to start a new one and hope I am not duplicating a conversation that already exists.

I know we all buy radar detectors and dashcams and little knick-knacks for our vehicles, including trash cans, air fresheners, phone holders, and floor/cargo mats.

Today I received something relatively cool for my 2022 Corsair GT. I wanted to share it with you. Not sure if it's a must-buy kind of thing as it didn't work exactly as I had hoped.

I thought it would be a great idea to have a neck pillow while driving.

This pillow is expensive, but the quality is superb and it looks really classy in the vehicle.

This is the way it is supposed to sit on the seat...

The problem is, I am a short guy, and when I drive, my seat is completely forward

For that reason, my neck doesn't align with this pillow in the driving position. For that reason, I had to move the pillow up the bolster so it looks like this when I am driving...

Not as attractive, but that's only during driving and when I am not in the vehicle it sits in the proper position as shown in the first photo.

I will say it does add a great deal of comfort to my head and next while driving. I wish that for me, it worked better in the position shown in the first photo rather than the second.

Any other electronics or knick-knacks that Corsair owners have bought for their vehicles that they would like to share?

Just a comment that safety engineers spend a GREAT deal of time studying headrest, seat, seatbelt and airbag designs to maximize safety during collision or upset. That may be comfortable for you, but my non-professional opinion is you are compromising the intended design of these safety systems working together, especially if the vehicle has Active Head Restraints (designed to move forward in a rear-end impact). Since you never know when you're going to crash, you may want to ask around how installing this "neck pillow" might compromise your safety, or worse, increase the risk of injury in the event of a crash.

I bought a generic sunshade from Walmart. It's slightly bigger than needed but the size smaller was too small. This one you can partially overlap and then it works perfectly. Would highly recommend this especially for the low price!!

I agree on the size. I bought the smaller size and they don’t quite cover the entire area. The next bigger size is too big and difficult to fold up in the space, especially if I have a front seat passenger.

The one I linked folds up well and easily slips between the passenger seat and the center console area. No disruption according to my wife lol!!

So, at this point, color me VERY interested in this module.

Unfortunately, no one here actually bought and installed one of these so at the moment, it seems like a risky purchase.

I don't want to be the guinea pig -- especially with the price tag and not knowing how easily I will be able to pop out the existing module. I also have an extended warranty on the vehicle and I am not certain if the modification would void it.

I agree with you about no one has apparently bought one of these and/or bothered to let us know how it works. I found others on the Alibaba site itself, for less money, and I do recall that I put something similar into a 2011 Buick LaCrosse, and it was great! Easy to install, and offered so much more than the original equipment. That said, I have asked the seller on Alibaba if there are any installation instructions and all they say is that it is plug and play. I think my concern is the removal of the existing unit; like, how difficult that might be, and whether or not it just pries loose or what. If I can get detailed instructions, I will definitely buy one.

I found a link that shows how easy it is to remove that center console control panel. Apparently, no screws, and all you need is one of those plastic tools. One electronic connector. I think that I will buy one of these after market digital devices. I'll post here how it goes.

For the '24 Corsair I recently purchased I have these nice little enhancements...

Lincoln logo cupholder inserts (purchased from Amazon)...


Corsair cargo base (purchased with points from the Lincoln dealer) and a Lincoln logo collapsible cargo carrier (purchased through Amazon)...


Lincoln logo trailer receiver insert made from welded aluminum (also through Amazon)...



And a twin pinstripe painted by a local artist...a black stripe to match the black exterior accents and an upholstery matching accent...

Update: I did order one, and it has arrived today. The attached photos show front and back. I'll go ahead and install it tomorrow.

After a few weeks, I'm less enamored with the Lincoln cargo mat. It still hasn't flattened out, curls up on the sides, the little creases on the front and back have regressed after the initial week of chip clips. The material doesn't grip the carpet as well as WeatherTech cargo mats. WeatherTech seems more rubber-like while the Lincoln is more plastic-like. Unfortunately, WeatherTech only offers a generic cargo mat that you trim with scissors. Doesn't sound like a great idea. Has anybody tried it?

But I was able to get a Weathertech Cargo Area mat for my '21.
I am very happy with it one year later.
I looked at the factory mat and was not impressed.
Would not hesitate to recommend the Weathertech mat.

I don't think I saw these listed here, so I will throw in my 2c. I bought a set of TuxMat mats and cargo liners. They cost about the same as Husky and Weathertech ones. But they fit the footwells fully, and look a lot better. The cargo liner includes protective panels for the seat backs as well as the cargo area floor. They are not rubbery plastic--I think they're some sort of nylony "fabric" and they look more like carpet floor mats, but can be washed (including hosed off if you wish) and no special cleaner is needed.

I've only had my '21 Corsair for a month so I can't say anything about durability. However, they are very well made, and designed by folks in Toronto (so they know how to protect from salt and winter gunk). They fit snugly, cover the whole footwells and include clips to ensure they are secured if you need them. The rear one has a lip that you tuck under the edge of the rear seat, so they don't just cover the rear floor alone.

I had a set of Weathertech liners in the '17 Fusion the Corsair replaced, and wasn't fully happy with them--they didn't cover the whole footwell and fit mostly well (meaning dirt/sand gets under anyway) and the rear one curled up over time at the side near the seat my daughter sat in. They also looked kind of dingy over time despite my cleaning them regularly with the cleaner and protectant stuff Weathertech sells.

I saw a lot of positive reviews for TuxMats and many videos (cleaning, usages, etc.) on them and took the plunge. I am very happy with them so far. They shipped free and fast, too--I ordered on a Saturday and had them Wednesday (that includes border crossing as they were shipped to New England from Greater Toronto). The only negative was that the boxes looked like they were dragged behind the truck all the way to me, but the contents were fine.

It is going to take some getting used to, but so far I find it to be rather intuitive, and most settings are easy to find. I will like it, because I can match the color scheme to the entertainment screen on the dash, and it is overall a better look.

Which year of Corsair do you have? Asking bc the replacement head unit you just successfully installed!!

That's a first for me. Have you not been following this thread from its beginning? I graduated school a long, long time ago, and I don't do essay on order any more. Go back to the beginning of the thread to see the OP, and then follow the posts and comments. If that doesn't provide you with the information that you seek, then this device is not for you. I will say that I don't see this as a modification, however.
