2023 Corsair orders, build dates

I am going this afternoon to begin the search for an alternative vehicle. Does that answer your question? :(
Man, I'm so discouraged to see this. I should have found this forum before placing my order. I had high hopes. But my order is so far behind the queue from all of you who ordered in September....

Look at the bright side, people are canceling their orders. These vehicles will likely still show up to the original dealer but be available for sale. The only question is, will the dealers do their "order customers" a solid and try to offer to them first? Time will tell.

Saw this on YouTube but can’t tell if it is really a 23 or back side of 22

Hi gang. This information/advice I am going to state has been mentioned before, so let me state upfront that I am not minimizing the stress this wait puts on many of us, and I also realize it does not specifically help anyone with their wait, it just hopefully puts things into context:

The 2023 Corsair did not begin production until late December/early January (the exact date is sort of in flux). And when production began, Lincoln/ Ford policy is that no customer orders are produced until there are a set number of production days with ZERO errors, mistakes, problems etc.
Those early production vehicles are held back and mistakes corrected before they go to Dealers as stock/inventory vehicles.

So that means even under the best of circumstances, production of actual customer orders would not have begun until approximately mid-January. If all went well. Which means even the earliest customer placed factory orders may just be being produced and shipped to Dealerships about now or shortly.

Fortunately/unfortunately, the Order Banks open long before production begins (for all vehicles, not only the Corsair). It is a necessity. So while some of us may have placed orders back in September/October etc...those dates are irrelevant when it comes to wait time, since production was nowhere near beginning for the 2023 model.

To make a loose analogy, it would be like sending our Christmas list to Santa in September, then complaining when we are not getting anything until December 25th. Again, it is a loose analogy that I hope is also somewhat amusing, so be gentle. 🙃😉

Again, I am not minimizing the stress this is putting on many of us. I am simply trying to give the entire situation some overlooked context. 😉

EDIT- And I forgot to add...There is no excuse for Dealerships not keeping their customers updated as best they can. Unfortunately, this is an industry wide problem, and has more to with the individual salesperson/Dealership and training. Lincoln provides them with far more information than most of you seem to be receiving from them. Unfortunately.

I hope everyone will get their orders soon and good luck.

Based on the emblem and word Corsair on the tailgate, I think it is a 23.

This was helpful! Thank you!

In the video, the Lincoln "emblem and word Corsair on the tailgate" is merely a license plate insert on the rear of the vehicle. In addition, the KmCars dealership shown in the video is in Abu Dhabi.

Anything is possible, but that is not a 2023 Lincoln Corsair for sale at a luxury used car dealership in Abu Dhabi. It's a 2022. Just saying...

I update my cars.com search for a 2023 Corsair frequently. They have listed 51 for several weeks. All the photos are stock from Lincoln. I expect when they actually receive one, they will update with their photos. Will post as soon as I see any changes.

I ordered a 2023 Corsair Grand Touring yesterday and received the confirmation email today. The salesperson advised me to expect a 4 to 6-month wait. After reading through this thread, I think six months might be optimistic. The dealer had a 2022 Corsair Grand Touring on the lot but was asking $5k over MSRP.

Placed my 23 Corsair order today. Happy to find this forum to watch everyone’s builds come in. Hoping to be in mine by the summer!

Try to be patient! With all the supply chain hiccups and shortages, the builds take more time. Your vehicle sounds amazing!

In case anyone is interested, I was at the Ted Britt Lincoln dealer in Chantilly, VA last week. They got a load of 22 Corsairs with a few of them GTs. All offering discounts to sell. If you don't want to wait, like the 22 model looks better, or have to get a car now, this might be a quick way to get a new Corsair. Just do a search on New and Used Car Dealership | Ted Britt Chantilly Lincoln | Near Sterling. Mahlik is a great sales rep that I used last year. They don't play games there. Really good people.

Isn't that just a license plate insert? I don't think there's any change to the rear end between '22 and '23 so that is most likely a '22.
I believe so. I saw a 23 Corsair in an ad and that was a cardboard insert in the license plate holder. Hard to see in this video.

Good catch! I sure missed that.

Likewise, the loaded '22 GT (Pristine White Metallic Tri-Coat Exterior; Sandstone Interior) that I ordered came in a week after we went out of town for several months and was therefore refused by us (we have a '23 on order now). It's on their Glenview IL. inventory to sell. Peter was our Saleman and he's a standup guy. Napleton Lincoln Napleton Lincoln | New & Pre-Owned Lincoln Dealer Glenview IL
Good Luck if interested

Ordered on October 17. Originally scheduled for a production week of 1/9.

Since then, it's been pushed to:
- 1/23
- 2/6
- 2/13

My dealer initially predicted a "January or February" production date, so it's still within that estimate. I'm just glad I'm actually getting updates.

I canceled my 2023 Corsair Grand Touring order and bought a 2022 with the same color and options for the invoice price just this week. I got them to drop the listed price an extra $1,000.

Are you getting those updates via e-mails from Lincoln or through your dealer? I ordered October 31st and have never been given even one production week update.

My order was confirmed on 9/20 and I have only received the confirmation email and an update in December. Clearly they are not processed in the order that they are placed. :(
